The room was very spacious and aesthetic, bright during the day, with a big, comfortable bed. The shortbread biscuits with a Scottish design, and the artworks around the place were a nice touch. It was thoughtful of the staff to let us know how to enter the building at very late hours as we were attending a wedding nearby.

Some shelves to put stuff on in the bathroom, and a clear notice of staffed hours would have been useful. The shapes of the tap and showerhead were kind of unusual - I had to use a glass to refill the kettle because of the tap design, but that's just a minor comment. We liked the stay overall.

The room was exceptionally larger than we expected, the facilities were excellent, tea and coffee making facilities, the en-suite was exceptional, although we had a problem adjusting the temperature of the shower as the controls were not marked, although we did not use the breakfast or evening meal facilities it was nice to know that these were available, had it been a longer stay than 2 nights i am sure we would have used them.

The tv was only digital, so as a non technical person we had little use as there were no terrestrial channels, which was a shame. with such large windows facing the main road it would have been nice to have blinds or net curtains as a form of privacy the curtains had to be closed during the day, if you needed to change clothes.

I believe the hotel is going thru a transition, with this in mind, it will be fantastic when complete. The food is amazing, excellent value. The decor in dining room needs touching up in places, but otherwise its nice. The bedroom was lovely size. . . The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. It's excellent value for money, I would suggest adding £10/night, to cost and include continental breakfast. It was only our honesty that we paid for breakfast as there was no record taken of who had what etc on checking out. Would recommend and stay again!

Shower pressure was poor at times Would help to have a system to indicate towel change / tea coffee top ups required. We always had to locate someone to ask for this as we were there for 6 nights TV system was too complicated for a short stay. Free view would cover the amount of TV that we wanted to watch. Having all the apps available meant using your personal logging but was not happy to use incase I forgot to go back to remove these.

Staff were extremely friendly and willing to help in anyway possible Lovely location We stay here every year as its great

Only complaints are, the temperature on our shower wasn't adjustable, and due to staff shortages the restaurant was closed which meant we couldn't have any of the amazing food we would normally get. However we were given a free complimentary breakfast to make up for it 😋

Our room was extremely clean , beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable lovely seats at the bay window large shower and bonus of a bath the staff were warm and welcoming the restaurant was closed when we visited but this didn't detract from our stay as staff advised us of alternative eating places and if we required there was the option of continental breakfast in the morning we will certainly be back

Didn’t have breakfast but menu showed a good variety was available. Other food I had was fantastic - great chef. You could choose to sit in the restaurant or the bar. Staff were all very friendly as were the local people using the bar. Great location for train station and frequent bus service. I liked that they had an extra fan heater in the room (although the radiators worked well). Good TV and comfy bed.

It didn’t affect me but no lift. No wardrobe but there was a wall rail which I have seen in other hotels which was adequate. On arrival door lock was broken on inside but quickly fixed and the cabinet which had the hairdryer was broken but it didn’t bother me. It could be noisy because of the bar downstairs in the evening but I didn’t mind.

Great place to stay. Close to many places worth visiting in Fife.. Our room was really nicely decorated, warm with the lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Also very quiet. Nice, welcoming staff and everything well worth the money! Coffee, tea, biscuits and bottle of water in the room - very nice and appreciated after long journey. We have not used restaurant, but it looked nice with good prices.

Nothing. All very good. We did enjoy our stay. Would be nice to have a breakfast available, but it is not difficult to find a nice tea room nearby. Maybe internet access will be helpful, but it was not a problem for us.

2mins walk fro the train station. My train was due in 15mins after last orders for food but the chef and kitchen staff very kindly agreed to extend so that i had a hot meal. The homemade lasagne was delicious by the way. All the staff were very helpful and professional. The room was very large, bed was comfortable and a large flat screen TV which was in proportion to the room. Tea and coffee making provided as was biscuits. Large walk in shower. Bathroom was very clean. A range of Toiletries were provided. I have to highlight the fact that for the the size of room, cleanliness, friendly staff, the price I paid made this stay exceptionally good value for money. I was told no breakfast was available as the hotel was still trying to recruit a breakfast chef. Don't let this put you off as their is a very good café in the village that does a selection of excellent breakfast rolls.

Nothing. Everything was to my satisfaction

Good sized room. Pleasant decoration, and just two minutes walk to Markinch railway station. Facilities provided enable a comfortable overnight stay.

The bathroom was definitely designed for looks rather than practicality. The shower basin was situated in such a position that it was necessary to stand with one foot in, and one out, in order to be able to stand under the water spraying from the immovable shower head. The sink had no plug, and the tap was of a design too large for the size of the bowl, making it difficult to even wash my hands. It was also impossible to fill the kettle direct from the tap, so I had to fill a cup, and then transfer it to the kettle.

The room was very nice and extremely comfortable. The duvet was very warm, and the ensuite was great. The location was also great for my work.

The shower needed a PHD. to operate. Three square knobs with no labels so troublesome to know what was going on. Breakfast was continental only as they were having issues with the kitchen.
