Very helpful and welcoming staff, nice big pool and good gym facilities. Very clean and a decent breakfast buffet.

Rooms are small. Also, it feels more like a leisure centre with hotel attached, rather than the other way around.

Room was spotlessly clean but do pay extra for king size room if staying for longer than 2 days. We stayed for 5 and would have stayed longer! Hotel is in an excellent position to get it into Manchester City centre, tram, bus and train a very short walk away which meant you could leave the car. Breakfast was delicious and ample choice of, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, full English and pastries. Omelettes to order at breakfast were delicious. Staff are exceptionally friendly. We used the pool great for swimmers with dedicated lanes for slow, medium, fast swimmers as well as a children’s area. There is a well equipped gym. If you fancy an evening out there is parr’s wood bowling alley, cinema and restaurants all within walking distance and it’s a safe area for walking back to the hotel at night too. There are good walks locally too. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we will not stay at another hotel on our return.

Leisure facilities are great though the pool can get busy with lessons but the hydrotherapy pool and area was an added bonus. Breakfast was good with a good choice and variety and they will prepare extras for you such as omelettes (the salmon one is amazing!), poached eggs, porridge. Staff were really helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. The beds were really comfortable. It's only a short walk to the tram station (10mins) for easy access to city centre.

The rooms are quite small but if you are only sleeping in them they are fine. TV was poor with no access to BBC channels or streaming services such as Netflix.

Staff are amazing! Very helpful, friendly and polite and so accommodating. They offered to help with bags to everyone and even moved our bags when changing rooms. The first room the bathroom door was a little stiff and they changed the room immediately and even moved our things for us whilst my son was in the pool! The room was clean and had the facilities advertised. Having a pool on site was great for all and the restaurant food was very nice

The rooms are very small, even upgraded to a king size and the room was still small but the bed was much bigger. The rooms didn’t have air con and we were during the last heatwave but there was a fan that worked very well. The tv didn’t have smart features enabled. But these were quite minor things and still had a great stay overall

Compact but very warm and comfortable room with a great bed and shower. Fantastic to have use of excellent spa. All staff at Reception very friendly and helpful.

To enter and leave the hotel on foot you have to walk along a narrow lane shared with cars, with only a very thin strip demarcated by paint for pedestrians. Hotel has digital signs asking motorists to keep under 15 mph but some of the clients raced by much faster than that. It didnt't feel at all safe. Couldn't something be done to make sure pedestrian customers are not placed at risk from dangerous driving?

The gym and swimming pool facilities were fantastic, room was clean and in a good condition. Having free car park was good, however because of the members of the gym sometimes carpark was packed!

We booked the room by booking.com that mentioned room with view of garden that wasn't and asked to change the room that wasn't available! Generally, room was small and didn't have fridge, there was no air condition just a fan and when we opened the window flies came in! The price was variable on different days, we paid £255 for two nights at weekend, with this service it should be about £200!

The room was small and compact; we had a small double bed which was fine for our one night stay. The facilities were great, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, sauna etc. The location was easy to find and ideal for getting to the airport. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant food was lovely and reasonably priced. We had to leave early to catch flights and were therefore given food and drinks to take away as we had paid for breakfast but didn't have time to stay for it given the restaurant didn't open until 7am due to it being a weekend. We're looking forward to staying again.

Small double bed was much smaller than expected.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful and they all seemed to get on really well too which made the hotel seem very welcoming . King size room small although spotless but only stayed one night with my daughter so sufficient for our needs . Didn't actually use the bath shower in the room as we used this in the spa changing rooms so can't really comment on those . Lovely breakfast although we ate fairly late ( 9.30am) and selection was depleted and not as fresh as I imagined it would be first thing but we enjoyed what we had . Beautiful lemon cake & coffee tho in the cafe before we left .

We didn't use the gym because we hadn't taken gym gear but it looked quite well equipped. We did however use the downstairs spa area ..... avoid at all costs on a Sunday night !!!! Extremely busy , it would appear there is a regular Sunday meet up of gym members ( mainly male 18-30s!!) who literally take over the whole area . We did return the following day ( Monday ) late morning and it was a lot better .. a little more relaxing let's say !!! Also don't forget flip flops or footwear as it gets treacherously wet and slippy as are the stairs you have to climb to reach the actual swimming pool !!!

Food was delicious. Soups were spot on. Never had triple baked chips as good. Sorbets were refreshing and tasty. All the staff we encountered, especially at breakfast and in the restaurant were lovely. We enjoyed the steam room pool and jacuzzi (although my wife struggled a little with the steps down to the leisure centre and getting into the pool). The location was ideal for the places we wanted to visit - Jodrell Bank, RHS Bridgewater and Lyme Park. Plenty of parking.

We would have appreciated hooks or a rail in the bathroom as everything had to go on the floor. We did not have too many things as it was summer and we were only there 3 nights, but if we had had coats etc, then the mirror stand would not have been large enough.

I'm a disabled business traveller and I don't like to make a fuss about this because I feel awkward if there is the slightest hint in someone helping me that they aren't keen to. I hate being the focus of any attention because of my disability. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel with such a comprehensively lovely group of staff. I felt that they gave me assistance and help because I am a person, not because I am disabled. It is hard to describe what that feels like to someone like me but I am very grateful, and your staff all deserve the biggest thanks for just being wonderful, naturally helpful and playful but professional people.

Wi-fi kept throwing me off and the room refreshment restock was a little mean, but no big deal.
