The breakfast was pretty good. The breakfast waiter, Roger, was excellent, first class. The location is excellent and the atmosphere of the hotel rather charming. It was very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked very well. It’s nice to find a city-centre hotel with its own, large, car park.
There was a staff conference on our second afternoon and though we had pre-paid for a parking space in the hotel car park, there was no space free. It took twenty minutes to address the issue and the front desk was not very sympathetic. The piped music in the bar and public areas was too loud and really poor. The heating was difficult to understand and the first floor windows didn't open, so we were a little hot overnight.

Reference bonus question above- I don’t know if the rooms were together as my sister and brother-in- law got so hacked off trying to find the car park that they gave up and went home in disgust. You really should provide a map to show how to get to the car park. The Staff weren’t particularly knowledgable either.
Radiator in room was leaking and the fan started to make such a racket we had to turn the light in the bathroom off. We turned it on next day and fan didn’t work at all.

Great location, excellent breakfast, pleasant, efficient, friendly staff. Bed comfortable, room clean.
My room, 37 First floor appeared to be above the kitchen and more to the point the refuse skips. I was awoken the first morning at 5.30am to what sounded like a skip full of bottles being poured into an empty skip. Then the pulsating sound of music, not loud enough to identify but loud enough for the bass to get inside my head. I should add, the purchase and use of ear plugs alleviated the problem the second night. This was particularly irksome because at your invitation I upgraded from a single room. It would have been preferable to have been informed that the room you UPgraded me to, at an additional cost of forty pounds, was not in the best location.

I have never met a more friendly and helpful team who worked extremely hard to resolve the issues caused by cancellation which left us with 1 room and two people to into it. The issue was likely caused by booking.com software algorythym that cancelled my linked booking when I cancelled one of the rooms. The team found us alternative accommodation in another of their hotels (Moor Hall) with upgraded rooms and a free breakfast, arranged a taxi and generally thoroughly looked after us.

the staff went above and beyond to support a big mess up with bookings, the manager was really excellent and sorted out the rooms. We came to Lichfield for our wedding, so this was the place to stay. Excellent breakfast, and hotel was really atmospheric.
Very noisy at night! Several venues on the same street had extremely loud music, one went on until 0700 in the morning, making it quite hard to get to sleep.

Brilliant location right in the centre of Lichfield, lovely comfortable spotless room, comfy bed, contemporary decor. Had an evening meal which was lovely (Gammon, pineapple, egg, mushroom and chip's) can choose from bar meals or eat in Darwin's restaurant which is where breakfast is taken, which was very tasty had full english with toast and tea. Staff friendly, would definitely recommend
Didn't have a few or opening window from our room, wasn't too worried as only staying for 1 night, but everything else was lovely

Breakfast was good. Staff seemed to generally be pleasant, understanding and cheerful. The shower in the room was excellent, very good water pressure, better than some anaemic ones at competing hotel chains. Lichfield is an attractive city with an impressive cathedral. We ate in the nearby Ego restaurant which was billed as Mediterranean style, wasn't bad and was next to a lake called the Minster Pool
Hotel was a bit of a maze and there was rather a long walk through quite a few fire doors to get to our room. One guest found the bed or pillow(s) a little uncomfortable and woke up with a slightly sore neck.

we got married here last year so we stayed for our first anniversary and booked a superior room and they put us in the bridal suit that we stayed in on our wedding night so not only that was a nice surprise but the fact that they had also refurbed it since our wedding we where completely blown away. it’s a beautiful hotel, friendly staff beautiful rooms and they are always happy to go above and beyond.
the new round bed in the bridal suit is stunning but because of its unique shape we found it a little difficult to sleep in as we found legs/ feet hanging off the edge. apart from that there is anything that could say we don’t like about this property.

This elegant and historic hotel is located on a, now pedestrianised main street in the heart of this interesting old town. The hotel excudes character and although I only booked a standard single room it was spacious enough and more than comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was varied and comprised good quality ingredients that had been well-cooked - even the mushrooms that are usually beyond most hotels' abilities!
The only thing that was lacking was the width of entry to the corner shower. Now, I would not describe myself as petite, but one and a half handspans width is small (about 290mm): I could not even fit my head and shoulders in to wash my hair. Still, it was a sunny day and the situation made me smile! I stayed during a heatwave and understandably a non-air conditioned room in an old building will be hot. But the fan provided was effective and very quiet.

This is second time we have stayed in the hotel the location is good the rooms are really good yet pricy, the bar and food exceptional, and the lady on reception was very helpful
Bit cheeky asking £8 for parking to say it’s a nightmare to get parking space at times, so ur not guaranteed one and the room we stayed in was so hot I had to get tan out in middle of the night to cool down no heating on and windows were open
