Waterside Cottage Bed and Breakfast0

John and Anita were amazing hosts and made us feel like family. The attic room was beautiful with lovely little touches like homemade biscuits, excellent quality tea/coffee with coffee machine. The bed was so comfortable with crisp white bedding and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was delivered the night before so we could enjoy it at any time in the morning. We had bagels, croissants, toast, fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt with cute little pots of jam, marmalade and honey. There was cereal too and fresh orange juice. Highly recommended!! Lovely pub straight across the road with roaring fire and delicious food.

We should have booked a longer stay :-) Nothing to dislike at all.

The cottage was lovely and in the perfect location for our stay, so near the river and the boats. Also two excellent pubs for food literally on the doorstep. John and Anita were great hosts, making us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Loved having breakfast in our room and appreciated all the little touches which went into making it feel special. We slept really well as the beds were so comfortable and everything was very clean . We left feeling like we had stayed with friends (including Bella their gorgeous little dog!). Would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thank you John and Anita. XXX.

Nothing!

What a find! Quite a small house, but with plenty of room for guests, and off-street parking too. John and Anita (well, mainly John!) take great care to make sure that guests have everything they need and are very helpful with local guidance. The breakfasts were generous, well thought out and fresh. There are a couple of pubs within a few minutes' walk that both serve good food and drink. Knaresborough is quite hilly but compact and easy to explore.

Smart and well appointed room. Lovely decor and accessories. Good breakfast of cereals,yoghurts and fresh berries, toast, croissants, and teas and coffees. Coffee machine in room, but no instructions, so we used the instant pouches. Comfortable beds even in the stifling heat. Fan provided!

As we had the windows open, the noise of traffic was loud. Only because we have not a sound at home.

After 15 months of Lockdowns and Travel Restrictions it was important to get this holiday right and return to some normality, and we were not disappointed. Anita & John were the perfect hosts, assisted us throughout with suggestions for exploring Yorkshire, and Bella joined in also! - such a delight. We will always have the fondest memories of the whole experience, we send a virtual bouquet of flowers and are delighted to express our thanks and gratitude for the perfect stay we had at Waterside Cottage. Cannot reccomend this gem highly enough.

Anita and John made us feel so welcome. They are lovely people. Our room was so peaceful and comfortable, and the breakfast was high quality, fresh, and healthy. We will definitely stay at Waterside Cottage again.

To be honest, absolutely nothing.

Hosts very inviting and friendly, nothing was any bother, lovely couple. Very clean, bright, comfortable room with everything you would need. Loved the fresh breakfast and being able to enjoy in the comfort of your own room and a time that suits. A hidden little gem of a cottage, very central to everything.

There was nothing we didn't like, all was perfect.

Hosts Anita and John were very warm and welcoming and made sure we were well looked after. Excellent continental style breakfast, taken at our leisure. Beautiful cottage, we had everything we needed for a short break. Good location, short walk to the town centre.

what a warm welcome greets you if you’re lucky enough to stay there. Anita and John were amazing hosts every little detail is accommodated for and their knowledge of the area on where to eat and visit is extensive. the accommodation and breakfast is of the highest standard . I would definitely recommend and stay here again .

A wonderful property in a fabulous location. Lovely hosts who went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful and provide accomodation with many individual touches which were very much appreciated.
