The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent. The room was adequate. Location of the hotel made it easy to locate.
No air-conditioning, hence the room was very warm and we had to open the windows to try and cool the room down. Even with the windows closed, traffic noise could be heard in our room (221), which was located directly above the hotel entrance.. The traffic noise came from both the main road and the service to the hotel directly in front of it entrance. Another noise issue was when the flights from Bournemouth Airport flew over the hotel, and they were quite frequent.

I arrived after 8pm having ridden my motorbike for over 200 miles in pouring rain. I was soaked to the skin but needed my clothes to be dry for 5am the next morning as I needed to catch a ferry. To say that the staff were accommodating is an understatement! A heater was put in my room and my clothes were taken to be tumble dried. I honestly don't know how I would have carried on my journey without such a high level of service. In addition, the restaurant was closing soon on my arrival, but every effort was made to provide me with a lovely meal. Again, the staff were amazing. I can honestly say that the staff and property were fabulous! They clearly care about their customers and I would absolutely stay here again!
Nothing could have been improved upon. 100% satisfied.

The whole hotel was beautifully decorated, including the corridors to the rooms (unlike one hotel I went to once). The staff were all friendly and helpful. There were lots of places to sit, though only the same kind of chairs throughout the restaurant, lounge and club room areas. The rear deck overlooking the river is lovely, and having a bridge over to an island with seating is a quirky bonus! My room was on the river side of the building and was quiet; it may be that the rooms on the road side would be noisier, as the hotel is right on the main road - though this means it is very easy to find. Lots of parking front and back. Excellent breakfast, all buffet style, so 'eat as much as you want'.
The shower was over a very small bath, which didn't really function as a bath - the plug wasn't water tight even when I pushed it down. I tried turning the taps on fairly high to fill it faster, whereupon the water pressure pushed the shower valve up and the shower came on full blast, soaking my head and T-shirt! As with many hotels, the walls are thin, so I could hear one side having their showers & talking loudly at gone 11 pm, and then was woken up by the sound of another shower turning on at 4.30 am. But apart from that it was pretty quiet. The complimentary tea & coffee station only had 4 little milk pots, but I'm sure more would have been provided if I'd asked.

The carpark is enormous - plenty of places! So close to Poole, it is in an ideal location for people travelling to and from Europe and the Channel Islands. It is in a fairly quiet location - despite being on the main road to Poole, the room was quite quiet and was comfortable. The food served was of good, though not brilliant, quality - but there was plenty of it and it was served by friendly staff. Although we didn't actually need one, we were allocated a room that was disabled / wheelchair friendly - and we were impressed by the size of it and the facilities provided. Apparently, the hotel has four such rooms and they really are of good quality!
The windows were in desperate need of a clean!! Being on the road side, there was a lot of grim - and the spider's webs outside were record breaking! The only issue that did cause a bit of irritation was that on one evening we booked a table for dinner when the restaurant was obviously already busy. We were given a table in the bar - which was fine! However, we - and another couple in a similar position - were almost forgotten by the waitresses and had to attract their attention to get service a couple of times. The hotel needs to remember to give all diners the same level of service.

We were at a funeral locally and just wanted a reasonably cheap overnight stay before leaving early in the am. I looked at the reviews and it was a mixed bag but we were getting in late and leaving early so just booked. We were upgraded free of charge to a slightly bigger double room and I simply cannot fault anything. We didn't have breakfast, so I cannot comment on the food. We had a very late check in and popped into the bar for a drink. Both the reception and bar staff were very friendly. The prices were very good for a hotel. The room was suitably equipped and the bed was very comfy. Everything was very clean and the shower had good water pressure. We faced the main road but we live in London so didn't notice. What's not to like? Great value. I left my phone charger in the room and the hotel returned it to me in the post for less than a fiver. Great service. I read the reviews and often wonder what people expect for their money. I would definitely return.
Nothing.

I haven’t visited the Bridge House for several years but used to have coffee there regularly. Over the years I felt it had gradually gone downhill. I was delighted to find it’s had a very effective revamp, the breakfast was excellent (hot, freshly cooked, excellent choice) and good value. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I got the impression that there’s been some good staff/customer service training. My room was spotless and warm. Perhaps a little on the small side if there’d been two of us but as I was alone it was perfect. I was there to meet family members who were also staying and we appreciated the use of the public area with its super view.
Although the makeover of the bar/lounge/restaurant area is very pleasant, I’d like to see the sofas back.

The location by an island in the river The comfy bed The prospect of a great breakfast
There was soiled linen on the floor of our room - apparently used to prop the doors open when cleaning. The receptionist removed this and apologised. Room was noisy by the main road - as expected really, I suppose - I think the hotel seemed not very busy and I did ask for the best view available within the price range, so I wonder if an upgrade could have been offered or suggested? Would recommend the side with the river view if it's within your budget.

we paid more for the superior room, balcony over looking the lake. Two swans swan in the lake. Beautiful to watch. was worth it. Gotta say I have stayed in some places and ate BUT 100/10 for the breakfast. Best I have eaten . Tasty. Good products. Brilliant chefs. Had a evening meal in the restaurant. All had steak. Just perfect.
At first we thought oh no gotta stay in this superior room with a French door that wasn’t shutting / noise from below garden area, however my other half is a window and door fitter he fixed it for us. I did report to reception though.

We have visited before as we have family in Ferndown. Room was very clean, breakfast was very good and we came back for Sunday Lunch which was delicious. This hotel is well worth a visit. Very friendly staff especially on Reception.
We would prefer a ground floor room as my husband has difficulty with stairs, there was not an option to ask for this when we booked online.

We stayed in a room at the back of the hotel - away from the road noise. Lovely room, We ate in the restaurant - lovely food.
It was a hot day. The cleaners opened the curtains which we had deliberately closed so the room was horribly hot when we arrived back. We opened the windows, no problem, but when we first arrived, it was dark, and when we opened the windows we were inundated with insects. We then found the note that warned us not to open the windows at night!
