The first room i was shown was lovely. It was a super size but over the outdoor seating and next to the night door. Having started to do some work i found both the conversation from the outside area and the door banging too noisy. The manager was very helpful and moved me to an equally lovely room if slightly more compact. The room was very comfortable and ideal for one night night. Dinner was lovely and it is a really nice venue.

As part of the decoration there was a large ornamental clock on the wall that ticks. I cannot and have never been able to sleep with a ticking clock. I had to pop the battery out to stop it, which was quite annoying

I needed a late check in and then I had issues with traffic which meant I was really late (just before 11pm), luckily they were able to accommodate me. All of the staff were super friendly from checking in through to breakfast through to checking out. The room was huge and big enough for me to do my own yoga practice in there. The bed lined was lovely and the bed was comfortable, the bedroom decoration needed touching up with some fresh paint in parts, it looked quite scuffed and tired, although it felt clean. The breakfast choice was awesome and the quality of the food was great.

For some reason it wasn't clear that the rate did not include breakfast so I was surprised at the extra charge for breakfast, £145 for the room + £13 ish for breakfast. And they only do soya milk as a non dairy milk option which personally I find vile, so I was not able to have a morning coffee.

beautiful setting with cosy, home feel rooms. the bed was unbelievably comfortable and so big. the tub in our room was lovely :) the food was fantastic and very romantic as we were lucky enough to get a seat by the fire pit. the evening staff were so kind and attentive.

I wish there would of been more condiments in the room to avoid us keep asking for more as we did spent a lot of time in the room. during breakfast I asked for more toast which took 10 minutes to come although the toast and butter were very nice!

Lovely place great staff and excellent pizza. Only had an overnight stop for business but the menu looked very interesting and will plan to go back again for a more leisurely break as it is a great location for exploring the attractions of the area.

Bathroom design was the strangest ever and although all the things you need were there it was just tricky to get on because the door opens inward and tricky to get in and out of the shower as the screen was fixed. Next time they refurbish turn the bath around and put a sliding door 👍 Didn't spoil my stay but if there for a few days it would get annoying. Room 1 Moses, maybe the others are better thought out.

lovely hotel, staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful, bar and restaurant were lovely, we only had drinks and puddings but were fab, breakfast is amazing!! we had a family room which was lovely, nice decor, spacious and had a homely feel

this would have been without a doubt 10/10 for us had it not been so hot in our room and we actually managed more than a couple of hours sleep each night, i know the hotel can’t help the weather given as it was probably almost the hottest day of the year while we stayed but the fan in the room didn’t work but the next day the cleaners fetched us a tower fan which definitely helped for our second night, i think our room was so hot as we were rite by some large extractor fans (i think they were?) but other than being to hot the whole place and staff were perfect!!!

A lovely place with a quirky feel, very clean and staff were nice. Nice touches and well equipped rooms. Food (breakfast) was first class. Easy parking. All in all a lovely place to stay. I would recommend 👌

The only downsides were we visited here in the hottest weather of the year, 35 degrees!, so found the attic room unbearable even though fans were provided. This wasn't a flaw on the hotels part but a suggestion would be to have a portable air aircon unit up there for the summer months. Also the hotel is on a very busy road , our attic room was at the front of the building and with the heat we were forced to have the windows open but found the road noise was very loud and disturbing when trying to sleep.

The rooms were very nicely furnished and a good size for our needs. The food was excellent and the staff helpful.

One room was very large it was a Superior Double but there was a significant difference between that and a standard. The Standard Double room had mould in the bathroom and we wouldn't have wanted to have a bath in there for that reason also the breakfast was lovely but the waitress forgot a few things that we had to keep asking for despite being the only table eating at that time. There was also mould on some of the corridor walls but it is an old building so we understand this is possible. Overall though this was a lovely hotel that we will definitely book again.

The settings, lovely exterior in well maintenance gardens. The staff, beautiful lady greeted us and checked us in, very polite, smiling and professional. The room was quaint, really nice. Bed large and comfy. Dinner in the evening was fantastic, again, brilliant staff and compliments to the chef, our food was delicious. Next morning, again greeted by same lovely staff member as checked us in who took our breakfast orders whilst setting everything up early at 7am, a very dedicated and efficient worker. Breakfast was also a delight. First time here, but without a doubt will be back again and would definitely recommend without hesitation. Well done the farmhouse, hospitality as it should be!

Absolutely nothing, exceptional from start to finish. Some say a tad expensive for just one night, but I think we'll worth it considering the fab service and quality of food and attention to detail.

We stayed with our two kids in a family suite and couldn’t believe how big the room was. The Boxer suite. Really loved the whole staff of the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast there and both meals were very good. The dinner menu has great and creative options. Checking in and out super easy. The only thing to note is we could hear the restaurant/ pub below but as we are city folk, it didn’t bother us too much. The beds were so comfy it didn’t matter. Would definitely return again. Parking on site.

Excellent service and nrillstsff. Hotel room spacious and nicely furnished with a real coffee machine! Birthday party at the venue was amazing and food very good quality. Well organised.

Many of our family and friends complained at breakfast that the bacon was very fatty and not good quality, bit like American and Canadian bacon. Overseas visitors were disappointed in this. Toast, sourdough bread was over cooked, hard to eat.
