Staycity Aparthotels Birmingham Jewellery Quarter

The members of staff were quick to attend to me on any requests....they are all so polite most especially DAVO...... we extended our stay twice as it felt so good.......the apartment is very clean and every thing you need to cook and clean was provided......I love everything about this place. This is my 3rd time of lodging here with no disappointment

The car park is too expensive.... £13 per day for 10 days seem a lot..... lodgers should get a reduced rate most especially when staying for more than 1 week. My first room 232 was just perfect But when I extended my stay I was in room 229....very weird design 😂🤣kitchen in the bedroom and wardrobe in the front room......just manageable since we had no visitors visiting us.....just imagine we had visitors and my wardrobe is in the front room🙈🙊

It was clean and set out nicely. There was a espresso machine which was lovely. Pillows were comfortable and the bed was very spacious.

Sofa beds are not very comfortable, had to put my 3 yo on one and create a barricade with the sofa cushions. I was given a travel cot with no space to place this. I had sent a message regarding a late check out due to having a newborn, which the company did not respond to. The bathroom was quite small, you have to literally stand in front of the toilet to open and close the door. Parking facilities are awful the car park was fully booked, we had no idea this was possible if we hadn’t pre booked a slot for our car. There was no messages about this being a possibility or problem so we had to leave the car further away each time.

The best thing about our stay was the amazing staff, every single one of them! Very friendly and very helpful. Whilst we did have some issues, they were at hand to help and make our stay more enjoyable. A very special thanks to Magda, Ziyaan, Demi, Anmol, Suleiman, Mavis and everyone else that we met during our 3 night stay.

The main beds were reasonably comfy but they were two single beds connected together and we would have preferred one large bed without the gap. The sofa beds were not the best however and would not want to use them again. Finally, hotel car parking was full, but we were able to suffice with street parking.

Apartment was clean on arrival with a welcome box of chocolates in the room which was very kind. Bed was comfortable and location was ok.

The bathroom was very small you will need to open the door fully inwards to get in and out while getting your clothes touch the toilet which is a big issue for me having ocd. The kitchen area was also very small but didn’t need to use it much during our short stay. No Netflix or apps on tv you will need to download another app which you will be charged for. I did think they would have a smart tv as mentioned but didn’t which was a issue for me as I have a 3 yr old who needed entertainment while we were in the room. The room does have a slight smell when entering and ac does not work properly.

Love this place. Staff are great, coffee is good, room facilities are thoughtful, space is good-sized and bright. I stay at this chain where I can. This one in particular is always a good experience. We stay here for gigs at Utilita Arena as we need disabled parking access and there are a couple of dedicated spaces near hotel. It is also close Jewellery Quarter and not far to train station. It is a bit urban so feels a little inner-city but never had a worry about safety or accessing at night. I have stayed here by myself as a single female. The caring, funny, helpful staff are actually the best bit about this hotel - the night team being so kind and friendly and efficient. The later check-out is awesome too.

Appreciated the separate lounge area and thought the bedroom space although compact was well designed. Didn't realise the amount of utensils we had at our disposal and I think you should advertise that more as if I had known the amount of pots/pans etc I would have brought more food to self cater. I also didn't realise we would have a full size fridge with freezer box. I think it would be advantageous to show the room layout and facilities on your website so customers are aware.

Bath mat although we used one of the hand towels. Another bed side table - one side had one but the other didn't but there was another bed side table in the lounge which I thought was unnecessary as there was already a coffee table in there. We didn't want to move it into the bedroom as was unsure whether it would fit and we didn't want to damage the room decor.

I choose to stay here because it had kitchen facilities in the apartment and a fridge, which I both used during my stay. The bed was huge and quite comfty, maybe a bit soft. There was a living area which was perfect to relax if you wanted some privacy and it was very quiet. Very close to city centre and just 10 minutes walk from the local train station and a Tesco

Some signs of wear and tear in the apartment from previous stays including the electrics in the kitchen. Only one hand towel for two people. I understand avoid waste, but not everyone likes to share. The area in which is located does not look very safe at night if you are alone and like to walk around as it is quite industrial and there is some building works nearby.

Location of the hotel is perfect. Staff are friendly, welcoming. They quickly sort out any issues you have and are very helpful. Facilities in rooms are great, so you can take your time to have breakfast in the morning , rather than rush around to look for something. Co-op and Tesco a few mins walk from the hotel too as well as numerous coffee shops and restaurants. Easy access and a quick walk to New Street Station and the Bullring and other shopping.

The mattress and sofa beds weren't the most comfiest - but not the worst either. Could do with being a little more firm

Savo and Demi are staff members who treated me and my children like gamy when we arrived after a long journey. They welcomed us with maximum effort and was delighted with how helpful and kind and caring they was to me and children. Savo is such a gentleman and Demi is a superstar too. I will of course return to Staycity apartments to stay again and if you are reading this then book yourself in there. You will really enjoy a nice family friendly place and amazing staff members. Savo and Demi are a real credit to this place they were supportive towards my children after a long day travelling they went above and beyond. 😊😊😊

I liked everything at Staycity

Good location - a short walk along the canal to the Symphony Hall. Two bedrooms - great - comfortably housed a family of four for two nights. Nice to have 24hr reception and late night snacks available on our return. We didn't have breakfast included but coffee and pastries were conveniently located in the cafe downstairs. Well equipped with a hairdryer and iron - we used both. Parking was convenient and reasonable.

Great power shower but water did not drain quickly enough. Also, a socket next to a mirror would make the layout perfect.
