The location - you could not get any better. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and we absolutely loved the doggies. They were so well behaved and came over for belly rubs and head scratches. Rooms were clean and spacious and perfect for a night to rest our heads. The showers were fab and had great water pressure. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was really kind in finding suitable alternatives for my husband who is lactose intolerant. Great value for money.

I wouldnt say we didnt like things, just a few small things that may be improved like the extension cable being under the bed in the deluxe room not reaching to the other side of the bed which made charging our mobiles difficult as we had to crawl under to plug our charger in. And due to the renovation work, there was a bit of a damp musty cement smell in the accessible room - but we understand that this is something that is out of the owners control whilst maintenance is taking place. The bed in the accessible room was quite low down and mattress soft which may make it difficult for a person with a disability to get in and out of, but honestly these are more personal preferences than things we didnt like.

The breakfast was always going to be a challenge for me due to having issues with certain foods. But they had enough for me to work a decent breakfast and it was exceptional. The location of the place is very good.

The only negative is the parking situation. Extremely limited. Couldn't park outside the room whatsoever as all the spaces were taken. Ended up parking along the front with blue badge and moving the car to drop off partner and bags then reverse in the morning.

Fantastically clean, spacious room and restful, attractive decor by the sea- you couldn’t ask for more. Breakfast was delicious, especially the toast- lovely thick slices. We added some extras to our breakfast but were not charged for these which was much appreciated. We could see the sea from the cafe/ restaurants as The Waves is right on the sea front, but it is a very quiet road. We love walking and there was a good path to follow. (If you have children, there is a playground 5 mins walk away, and if you love dogs, there will be lots of them in the cafe! The location was perfect for our visit to Canterbury on Sunday as we love being by the sea and having the best of both worlds- coast and town/ city. We had a fab dinner in Margate on Saturday, only about 15 mins drive away, at the Old Post Office which I would recommend.

The staff in the restaurant were so busy that when we arrived they could not attend to us for some time. The young lady who looked after us looked frazzled and run off her feet as the cafe was extremely busy. It would have been nice if she’d said ‘it’s lovely to see you‘….or something to make us feel welcome. Instead she could only raise her hand to hold us back and say, ‘I’ll be with you’ as she rushed away. Not so keen on all the dogs in the cafe- one even jumped up at my breakfast table, and another was under my table, but it did say dogs were welcome in the booking info.

Brand new room with all mod cons. We have slight mobility issues and our room was designed in such a way as to accommodate the less able if necessary, but served it's purpose as very good accommodation for the more able. Breakfast was very good and staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast is taken in café/restaurant area which also doubles up as a bar. Lovely location on the sea front. Dog friendly.

I loved the location a step away from the beach and coastal walks. The room was excellent- v comfortable and extremely clean- a good shower too. very welcoming hostess Jayne and Max who looked after me also, both were lovely.

v close to a public car park that is used by youngsters in the evening as meeting area Not something the property can change so doesn’t influence my feedback.

i enjoyed breakfast, i wish they used fresh mushrooms but it was still good. My room was clean and it was remarkably quiet. It was also a stones throw from the beach, but the highlight was your pets who really are divine. They also helped me get a cake for my friends birthday and make the occasion special for them.

i am not a fan of tinned mushrooms, i also wish your main lunch menu offered more veg, I think though most people would love the amount of meat i am just picky and love my veg.

Great location near Minnis Bay, near to the train station (20 min walk from Birchington-on-sea)and frequent buses to Margate. Lovely breakfast included in the price and tea and coffee available in the room Plenty of towels in the room and the beds were very comfortable Dog friendly 🐶

Needed a shelf or storage space in the bathroom (Room 4)...there was no where to put your toileteries

A lovely quite room. Very clean and modern. Breakfast was good and you had a good choice. A lovely area close to the beach.

I like dogs but there were far too many in the café where we had breakfast. Also they were scrounging around our table. I do not allow my own dog to do this so was a bit surprised when the owners allowed their dogs to do it.
