Did masons gin distillery tour and stopped at reubens where Everything was no trouble to the staff . We put all food and drinks on a tab for two nights with two full evening meals n several drinks and under £100 . Great value. We will be back again for a cocktail mixing trip at masons again with Reubens top of list to stop at. Well done. Photos of food included and breakfasts are great.

No issues.

the staff here are so friendly, this is an excellent place to stay. breakfast is great and although I haven’t tried it yet, there is a full menu of options for evening dining in the bar. the whole place is immaculately presented, it’s clean and pristine, the upkeep and cleaning that goes into it really pays off, it’s a nice feeling as you walk in the door. the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are immaculate. both the rooms and bathrooms are modern and sleekly decorated. the power shower is great and with hot water on demand, great if you have been on the road travelling. the property feels very safe, comfortable and you are well looked after by staff, great for solo or accompanied travellers. there is railway attraction in the immediate location and other attractions nearby, I haven’t had a chance to experience these but have been informed the Reubens is situated in a good location to explore the many options on offer. there is a large shop in close walking distance with a good selection. this is a great stopping point from the south to north, or vice versa and I would highly recommend it and it is great value for money.

this time I stayed at a room at the front of the hotel above the bar which is a bit noisy until around 11pm as patrons were using the front door and chatting outside. it’s a shame as I paid extra for a larger bed this time but got less rest/sleep. the room was also bright in the morning so would benefit from a curtain in addition to the blinds. the bedroom doors have quite a bang when people are coming and going, could do with a soft close addition. will bring ear plugs next time.

The staff were lovely, the choice of gin was impressive, the food menu in the pub was good. Breakfast was hot and served quickly. Large free car park.

Our room was very small with barely any space to get round the bed. Bed was very soft with a strange bit that stuck out (think it was the handles on the side of the mattress). No bedside cabinet on one side of the bed but we used the chair as we had to move it out the way to enable us to find space to put the case. No fridge or safe in the room, could hear TV in room next door which was annoying,

The hotel is located in an uninteresting village close to the A1, but it is only 5 minutes drive into the Yorkshire Dales. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms are like new inside. Excellent breakfast cooked to perfection. The hotel manager is the star of the show, offering a service that is only found in expensive city hotels.

None of the rooms have views, and rooms at the rear are worse than the front.

What a great little place. It doesn't look like much from the road, but in fact is an excellent little hotel - very favourably comparable with decent Days Inns or Travelodges. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, including a very good shower and an excellent kettle! The staff were absolutely delightful, the place was very clean and the breakfast was great. I was travelling by myself for work, and it was ideal. It's good value for money and I'm sure I'll stay again.

Only that the lead for the bedside light was a bit short as I wanted to put it on the other side of the bed! If that's the worst that I can say, then really it's not much to complain about!

This was our first time staying at The Reubens and we would recommend it to all. The most impressive thing was the staff who were absolutely fantastic and very friendly. Very comfortable and tidy rooms and good evening meals and breakfast. Great location to explore North Yorkshire.

Neither of our rooms had a wardrobe which would be fine for a short stay but we had a 6 night stay so had extra clothes. The're was a clothes storage shelf with hangers but only 2 of them.

Stayed here last year for a trip to Catterick Races and liked it so much we rebooked again for this year and weren't disappointed. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Rooms a clean and comfortable with nice decor. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was good quality and great value for money. Breakfast, included in the price was plentiful and freshly cooked Will definitely use Ruebens again in future.

Nothing - the only issue we had was getting taxis to the races and back and would advise anyone staying here to go to Catterick to pre book transport well in advance.

Honestly this hotel is just lovely, so clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.Situated right behind the polar express Station in lemming bar. Ideal for families. Immaculate throughout and all the staff are just so lovely. Nothing a bother for them , reception rang us up once we left to tell us we'd left my grandsons pepper pig which was so good of them as he would have been distraught once he knew it was missing. Great breakfast, rooms fab, we'll defo be back and happy to reccomend to anyone.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy with a really comfortable bed. The two meals that we ate in the hotel were really good - there was a good choice for the evening meal and the choice was keenly priced. The quality was very good. The meals on the Saturday evening and Sunday morning breakfast were very tasty. In the room there was a flat screen TV, kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The bathroom was narrow but the shower was really very good with a shower head that was powerful and controllable. The extraction fan in the shower was very effective and the water drained away very effectively without overflowing into the bathroom.

The only thing that was an issue was the noise from the nearby road. Fortunately it wasn't a particularly busy road but when vehicles went by it was noisy.

Helpfulness of the staff most aspects of the service were excellent

I ordered a beer which didn't turn up after flagging several staff it wasn't found and another was ordered which was billed as an extra beer I never had. This was deleted after I complained. Only Vegan food was a burger described as coming with a salad. There was some garnish in the burger and all the salad was was disappointingly more of the same garnish. I had a wet room which had no support whatsoever for shower use. I complained and a chair was installed but although the whole place was tastefully freshly decorated, having proper facilities in every wet room should have been the standard.
