Three Horseshoes Country Inn

Our stay here was very short as we had to catch a flight at 3am and transport to the airport. Since we were missing breakfast the hotel put together a bag full of food for us to take along. The rooms and restaurant were very good and we were glad we did not have to leave the hotel to find a place to eat.

Nothing it was perfect

One of the things most important to me is the quality of the bed. It was great. I slept great. And it was incredibly clean, and you have access to food because of the restaurant. I would stay again for sure when passing through.

Individual members of staff we're a little blunt. Sooner be socialising rather than dealing with customer's.

A great location, not far from coastal towns and walks. Handy to have to option of eating dinner at the hotel which was very nice.

The facilities for children were fantastic. An excellent outdoor play area and an added bonus of a soft play area too. Breakfast was nice and they had gluten free options which was great.

I feel the evening menu could have had a few more choices and there was no breakfast menu on the tables when you came down in the morning. It was in a folder in the room but we weren’t told this so hadn’t seen the options so when asked what we wanted, we were trying to make decisions without knowing what was available. Menus on the tables for breakfast would be much better.

couldn’t fault, the staff were welcoming and friendly even though I messed up my booking. The rooms were quaint, cosy and comfortable with lovely country feel. Had a great night sleep and breakfast in the morning (Full Welsh) was on point. We also ate that evening and food was amazing. Location is about 10-15minutes drive away from Barry but this is the nice thing about it, it’s quite and has a secure car park. Really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay again.

Staff were, without exception, helpful, friendly and professional. The room was beautifully clean and very comfortable..It was cosy and there was plenty of hot water. It was great to have such a helpful guide to the local area including several walks to do from the pub. The food was all beautifully cooked and having proper decent coffee with breakfast was very welcome.

Everything was perfect!

Location was great for an early flight at the airport. We didn't eat at the Inn but the food being served around us looked delicious and it appears to be popular with locals which is always a good sign!

One of our rooms was in the eaves at the front of the building which meant odd shaped ceilings, the bedroom was fine but it did mean access to the shower in the en-suite and headroom over the toilet was limited and awkward, fine for one night but not so great for a longer stay.

the three horseshoes is down a nice quiet lane. Not far from Barry Island. Room was lovely .. just two of us but we had a family room as it was only one left .. very clean… bed comfy. Big bathroom with shower in the bath. We had food in the evening and it was lovely as was the breakfast in the morning. there is no lift only stairs and it’s all locked up at 10pm so if you go out and get back after 10 you have to use the fire escape to get in so not suitable for anyone with a disability. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Breakfast was to order and I requested full cooked breakfast, which was superb along with a jolly nice pot of tea. The Evening Meal was also excellent and having stayed 2 nights I chose two different Mains; both were freshly cooked, and really tasty. My plate was 'clean' when it was taken back to the Kitchen; big compliments to both Chef and Serving Staff.

To be honest, there was nothing to fault and if I am working in that area again, this would be first choice. Streets ahead of the normal alternative Premier Inn or those awful Travel-lodges.
