Excellent location 2 minutes walk from Union St, 10 minutes from Science Centre, 1 minute from harbour and just across the road from the Maritime Museum. Excellent breakfast containing everything you would wish for except fried tomatoes but everything else extremely good. Bathroom had sufficient room for toilet bags by the sink. Very good easy to use shower with a handy little shelf for extra toiletries although liquid soap and shampoo is provided. Non slip floor.

Single bed just 31 inches wide. Hot in room even with window open which let in noise during the night. Bathroom door in room 501 does not fit. Needs shaving at the top. Had one evening meal there when we arrived. It was awful. Hard overdone crust on small piece of fish, overcooked chips and stone cold peas all on a cold plate. Go to Mollys at the bottom of Shiprow which is comfortable and does excellent food.

- much to our surprise, we enjoyed the exact same breathtaking view (on Aberdeen's harbour and clock-tower) as the one pictured on the website. we had the pleasure of witnessing beautiful sunrises from our room every morning! - location couldn't have been better: everything was at a walking distance, and near bus stops, which came very helpful - breakfast was the highlight of our stay, both full and continental, that would fit everybody's taste (large variety of fresh food, both sugary and salty); and with very helpful staff - from towels to extra pillow, teabags, and a kettle; our room was fully equipped with every facilities that we might have needed - our room was thoroughly cleaned every day, and we appreciated having to choice to decide which days we didn't necessarily need it - though located in the centre, our room was very quiet - very good price value overall!

- one of the lights did not function very well - no hooks to hang our clothes and towels - we had to log on to the wifi every time we went back into our room

I stay at the quayside Ibis hotel semi-regularly these days when in the city overnight, and it's always been a reliably comfortable and pleasant place. This stay was no different in that regard with a clean, spacious room which met all my needs, but I feel like I need to give extra thanks to the reception staff for their attentiveness. Though I only stay once every month or two and the hotel staff must have goodness only knows how many hundreds of guests visiting each month, a couple of different members of staff have come to recognise me and remember my preferences to speed up the (already pretty quick and easy) check in process. It's really kind of them to make the effort to acknowledge me personally in that way, and I hope the hotel management recognises that their team really is making the effort to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable.

No issues with my stay whatsoever. :)

Perfect location, comfy bed, friendly helpful staff, very welcoming as usual and clean.

There was no fan put in the room, not enough towels as none for drying ur hands apart from the bath towel which we used one each and no flat shet under the duvet. And i also requested in my message attached to the booking for a addition double flat sheet bcas the air conditioningisn'tcold enough and ths rooms r to warm. And not enough toilet roll, 1 full roll and a very small amount on the other one. And very cheap thin toilet roll. For the price I paid for the room of £99 Inc breakfast but we didn't have the breakfast in the end. U would expect much better quality toilet roll and 2 full rolls and even another one started at the top. Plus the sink was leaking from the pipe.

Easy walking from the train station where we arrived. We stopped to ask if we could drop off bags because we were too early to check in but as there was a room available we were checked in immediately and able to go to the room. Breakfast was open until 12 so we could go for a walk and come back and enjoy a brunch. Food was excellent and plentiful and the staff were very accommodating - offering things before we asked for them eg filling up water bottles.

The only thing to mention is that the twin beds were on the narrow side, but they were a good proportion to the room.

Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room, easy walk from the train station.

There's never enough milk and sugar sachets to go with the amount of tea/coffee that you get. I know it's available at reception but I don't want to wander down in my pyjama's with bed head hair to get a cup of tea first thing. Also, this might have been a one off for a particular church event and is not at all the hotel's fault but the church nearby was ringing it's bells all through the night which disturbed me a lot. That would put me off using this particular location again unless I knew this was not a regular occurrence.

Stayed here several times before, always a comfortable room in a great central location for easy access to the city centre. On this occasion my welcome was made especially pleasant by the woman at the front desk who recognised me from previous stays as she checked me into my room. Thanks for being so nice and welcoming! :)

There was a slight disturbance during my stay with someone trying to open the door of my room while I was inside. At the time I thought it was just someone accidentally going to the wrong room number, and of course they didn't have a keycard so the room was perfectly secure, so I didn't say anything to anyone. However when I went down to the lobby a short while later there were police officers there waiting by the lifts with a member of staff, leading me to wonder if someone had been trying to break into rooms. It was still an otherwise perfectly pleasant stay and this was a rare anomaly in what has always otherwise been a perfectly calm and secure hotel to stay in, so I'm not lowering my score in any way, but just noting this because it did definitely stand out.

Very good location for what I wanted - proximity to the railway station and Aberdeen Art Gallery. The room was comfortable and perfectly adequate. A wider selection of tea (including herbal/ non-caffeinated) would have been nice . I didn't have breakfast this time as had a larger and later dinner than usual and only wanted a coffee and croissant.

The washbasin 'plug' became stuck closed but I managed to release it with a sharp instrument. A pair of disposable type slippers due to the quite cold, bare floor would have been nice . I was travelling light and didn't bring any.

Ideal location for train & bus station. Disappointed in breakfast this visit, I felt possibly been cooked too early and all at once then put out. There was a large group due in so I was lucky that my order was taken on Friday evening - another resident was turned away. I was told "it depended on what I wanted".

As above, I think breakfast cooked too early and all at once. Not particularly hot. Would have liked real Scottish marmalade and jam.

Clean, tidy, efficient and just what you’d expect from a chain like this. It has a very central location , a bit easy to miss the entrance. Quiet despite where it is and hotel seems well soundproofed . Breakfast is good, buffet with decent choice , nice coffee and lots of it .

Have stayed twice and the lower 1st floor felt a bit boxed in due to low daylight as it is an old narrow street. Stayed on 5 th floor once which was better. Parking is in the NCP car park next door. Easy access and plenty of spaces but you have to consider this as added expense as the discount negotiated by hotel isn’t much.
