Great beach, beautiful location, nice and friendly staff!

Kids club is presented way better on photos than it actually is. And that was one of the big reasons to book it. There’s a certain chemical smell, almost no toys and when you want to do (paid) activity it is not done with a nice energy. It feels like the girls aren’t not suited for the job (they have to, don’t want to kind or feeling). They don’t really engage with the children and sometimes turn on the TV for them (which is exactly not why we bring our kids to the kids club).

The breakfast was average or below and definitely not as expected from a 5 star hotel In addition to that i have paid an additional amount to upgrade my room to swimming pool view however I was very disappointed when they gave me a room that has no views which was covered by a tree . Later on I got more dissapointed when I saw most of the rooms with a good view wasnt evrn occupied which trigger a question why do you need to give me a room with almost no view while you've got plenty other rooms with an excellent that's not occupied which is really bizarre noting that i paid for the upgrade! !!!!!!! If you want your guest to return you need to make them happy .

We have stayed at the Amari four times and always enjoyed the hotel facilities. Plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from which cater for all tastes. It is thankfully situated on the edge of town and takes 20 mts to walk to the Mall shopping area. Plenty of taxis and tuktuks always available. We had excellent massages every day (£10 each for one hour) just along the beach at Chalala resort. 22 nights was plenty of time in which to completely relax.

Too many guests put out towels early (7am) then never use the beds. Selfish behaviour! Management should implement a policy of removing towels if not used after two hours.(leave a note on all beds first thing in the morning and also state that beds cannot be reserved before 8.30am) School holiday times should be avoided as children in groups tend to monopolise the pool area. Noise level from vans advertising the Kick boxing stadium every day on the main road!! Nearly every business currently has a staffing problem as they only expected a 40% occupancy rate which has soared to 110%. Since legalising cannabis there are at least 24 shops on Chaweng beach road alone.

Firstly, the breakfast there is great. Secondly and more importantly, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, from the reception personal to the security guards and waiters, every single one of them will welcome you with a great smile. Traveling with a baby is a bit difficult from time to time, and the stuff was so helpful and really helped us enjoy our stay. Highly recommend!

Amari is at the quiet end of Chaweng beach, however a 10 minute walk brings you into the busy areas. Elaborate breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

People we not wearing masks when grabbing food from the buffet and staff did not seem to react to this. The shower door in my room was not sealing properly and the floor tiles are also not inclined towards the drainage, so within a short shower there was water all over the bathroom and not draining... There were lots of mosquitoes and the rooms were not equipped with any mosquito deterrents other than the mosquito screens but somehow mosquitos managed to get into the room (not sure if the room doors are left open during cleaning?). They should have those plug-in mosquito repellents for guests to use. Same at the breakfast area, its swarmed by nasty mosquitos making it hard to enjoy the otherwise nice breakfast.

We stayed at the Thai Village section. The area was absolutely stunning, with a pool right in front of our room/hut. The lush greenery all around, with a tree right in front of our balcony, which cast shade and gave us more privacy. Even though it was minutes away from the busy Chaweng nightlife, the area was very quiet at night, and the insulation is great (especially compared to many other hotels all around Thailand). The bed was big and extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful, and allowed for later checkout with no extra cost. The breakfast selection was outstanding, with so many different cuisines (Western, egg station, Indian, Thai) we were spoilt for choice. As it was our honeymoon, we were welcomed with a delicious chocolate cake. We will definitely be coming back, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing breakfast big variety of Thai and intercontinental food complimented with various drinks like fresh juices, fresh squeeze juices, and thai tea.  There is a very nice clap with many toys and pool safe for kids. The hotel beach was clean. During the day I had to take some work calls at night, and the hotel made a lounge available for me to work even in the night.

The kids room could have been cleaner and the lady working in the kids club could be more engaging with kids (she was only sitting). Overall, the hotel needs some renovation, especially rooms. The light in the room was not working properly and the wardrobe doors were very loud. 

I would definitely go back to Amari! So many good things to mention. First of all, the location is great - close to the main road with all the restaurants and bars (10 mins walking), but far enough to enjoy a quiet place. There are restaurants around the hotel as well, pharmacy, massage places and even the hospital. The hotel itself has 2 restaurants and a spa. The hotel is a green resort, so the wooden houses are surrounded by palm trees and flowers. The staff is amazing. The reception guys helped us with any problem we had, arranged a taxi booking when needed, announced us when the tour guides arrived to pick us up. There is even a guy handling the trafic in order to safely cross the street (wow!). The breakfast has a variety of choices: Asian, Indian, European, an omlette station, excellent coffee!! The waiting time is under few minutes for everything. They have 2 pools - one close to the beach, one in the accommodation area. Towels are available once requested. Good cocktails at the bar! The beach - perfect! I think they clean it every day. Service to the beach as well and even enough sunbeds (we found some available every day). The room - one of the greatest I ever slept in. They upgraded our room for free and we stayed in a wooden cabin. The bed was sooo comfortable, so the pillows. The cleaning ladies did their job daily, changed the towels and even the bed sheets. Items in the room: ironing station, beach bag, fresh water. Every time they cleaned our room, they made sure the AC was on to cool the space. We liked everything at the hotel! The area manager came almost daily to greet us and make sure we have everything at our disposal. Usually I am quite picky with the hotels, so definitely Amari deserves a 10/10 review!

Everything! Immaculate rooms, all areas keeps so well. Breakfast was amazing! So much choice, all super fresh. The location is perfect. It was quiet but also 2 minutes away from Chaweng Main Street and a 5 minute walk to the night market and central shopping mall. The staff were really helpful, cleaning was great (and I’m very particular and fussy) the kids club was a god send for my 6 year old, he loved it and it gave us a chance to sunbathe a bit and relax too. (They had a ps4) the pools were stunning, gym was excellent and it was located with its own beach. Honestly can’t rate it enough. We were so sad to leave and have already started planning for next year and staying a lot longer!

I like the property a lot, however building works on one of the pools for my whole stay and in my last few night the bar area was under construction was not communicated what so ever to myself as a guest! also there was a lot of old plastic waste and rubbish on the beach and in the water, I managed to fill up a plastic bag full rubbish, the ( old plastic that had been in the ocean for a while) the plastic bag I used I pulled up out of the sand!
