The Rock Hua Hin Beachfront Spa Resort - SHA Plus

The room was comfortable, good bathroom and shower, comfortable AC and ceiling fan. There was a fridge, and nice bathrobes, a rack out on the porch to dry swim suits, towels. The bed was comfortable, and they provided several bottles of drinking water each day. They did a nice job cleaning the room each day when we were out. The pool was great, a nice temperature and right on the beach. You could have lunch or dinner, or drinks by the pool. It was fairly near to the Weekend Market. The hotel has a free shuttle several times a day to the night market. Staff was helpful with questions about Hua Hin area. They arranged the hotel car to get to the airport.

The room was fine, but maybe starting to show some wear. The bathroom was nice, but there was limited counter space for toiletries for even one person, let alone two. The breakfast was just okay, with Thai and Western options. The fruit was good and you could have eggs to order, but the coffee was from a machine and not great. I think the breakfast could be improved - maybe fewer options with better execution.

Unlike other hotels, the rock is not a high storey hotel. Love the way the resort was built. Give me a very laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. The staff at reception was really nice and helpful. Answering every question we have with a pleasant smile. Even the chef came to say hello in the restaurant.

The room has a lot of ants in the restroom. The bathtub looks like a great place to relax, but seeing the ants makes you a little turn off. Also, I can see ants crawling on the bed. Housekeeping needs a little improvement. Would be a great stay, but on my last night, the housekeeping forgot to top up the water, coffee, and tissue in the toilet. Thought it was because we were checking out. That's why the housekeeping did not top up. After informing the staff at the front desk, they came up immediately to refill everything. They were very good at responding.

They had piping issue going on but didn’t notice guests that impacted by it, turn off the water without noticing and guess what?! i was in the bathroom. Called them so we know, waited for calls back then needed to change the room. Unfortunately the next day, the same thing happened where they turned the water off again without noticing and ofc it’s like a flashback, i was in the bathroom! Please improve the communication between your staffs and let the guests know.

The staff were great and very helpful 👍 within walking distance to Cicada nite market and Tamarind nite market.- also there was a nice selection of massage shops and restaurants close by - I highly recommend Tik's Seafood Restaurant

Other than breakfast the indoor restaurant was unavailable - you had to order food out by the pool - older hotel with no elevator or good rooms available with a ocean view and I booked months in advance - not sure if I would stay there again - not really sure if I would even visit Hua Hin again

Breakfast was a good selection for the value. The food was alright and had many options. The pool bar had mookata that was good. All of the views at the pool were very nice. The resort is incredibly clean and staff is continually cleaning. Service was excellent and the teams were all very good at their jobs. Pool staff was stand out and front house staff was very caring and helpful.

The weather. It rained a lot and was too cold to use my pool in my villa. The pool was nice, but it was not heated. The water in the bathtub was slowwwwwwww (but it was very hot).

The location is excellent - right on the beach. The pool was great, could spend hours relaxing and watching the beachgoers - I did :) Staff are friendly and helpful, if you need a ride somewhere they will help. Breakfast was very good

The pool could do with a little work and the staff at the pool bar were not very attentive at times

Staff ....Da da was very friendly and always offering help. Room was nice and spacious! Nice pool area and beautiful beach.

Breakfast service - I don't like when we have to book for breakfast session due to the limited space in dinning area to be cautious of Covid-19 situation ( I understand )and if you check in later than other group, you can't pick the time you want.( our family can only book session between 6am-8am:( ) Should have come up with more convenient solution like.....put breakfast area at the pool area instead then, for the time being. I think no one want to get up that early because that was the only session you can book to have breakfast during your vacation.

The breakfast is substantial. The hotel is very well located with regards to the beach. Easy & direct access to it. The hotel offers free one way transportation to town. The staff is friendly & helpful. The room was exceptionally appointed. Room 103 has a smart TV which to us was absolutely fantastic.

We prefer a hard mattress. Ours was soft. We stayed for 6 nights and this did cause discomfort.

I like that the room had teak floors, appeared to be sound proof, water pressure was good and the balcony was big enough to relax. Stayed in the pool villa where to pool was not even one meter deep. But it was good enough for a quick cold dip. Breakfast was outstanding! Staff were very courteous. Close by there is a seafood restaurant called Madame Greens that you should try! 7/11 close by.

I would prefer if amenities had prices next to them. Bucket of ICE was 35 baht. Not easy to catch a taxi service from there, but staff were helpful with securing one. Room pool had a tarp over the pool so it was shaded and not too private. Bushes between room pools are very think and upstairs guests can look downward. Security camera in the back of room next to pool so not so private, but understandable it might be needed.

Absolutely loved staying at The Rock Resort. It’s certainly on the nicest part of the beach in terms of it being clean and quiet compared to the main beach in the area. Breakfast was nice and the staff are wonderful. Right near weekend food market and can jump on the green bus right outside to head into the centre or down towards monkey mountain. Would certainly recommend and we met some lovely people during our stay.
