Villa San Pee Seua - SHA extra plus

This is a one in a million hotel for those who love quality service with a smile, and natural forest surrounds that are breathtaking. Incredible staff, amazing value.

We stayed 3 nights and it felt totally like your home in Chiang Mai, it has a big pool, many activities, clean facility and nice & comfy beds to rest, nothing to complain and only I can say good words about the stuff, they are very helpful to your questions and doubts.

We booked the family suit and in the second rooms it can hear the noise from the street easily because it is facing to the street, that is the only inconvenience we had during our stay.

Nice and quiet location, marvelous rooms, excellent food, reasonably close to Chiang Mai.

Some equipments are not well maintained, the boats seen on the pictures are rotting away, the shower at he swimming pool is not compulsory, and the jacuzzi not functioning. The free bikes are horrible.

This really is a wonderful place. We chose to come here for peace and quiet and to be closer to nature and we certainly got that. The garden by the river is magical, especially at night. The staff went above and beyond for us on several occasions and there are so many small details - like the free coffee machine and filtered water, free shuttle (or Grab) into town, the mosquito protection station, and the DVD library - that make Villa San Pee Seua remarkable. The wifi was also really fast (200+ mbps) which was great as we had to work a bit. I could say more, but I think you get the idea.

The bathroom was a little odd, but no complaints.

We had an apartment style set up with 3 rooms and a central shared space which was perfect for 6 of us. It allowed the adults to chill after the kids had gone to bed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming without being pushy. The breakfast was delicious and promptly served. Shout out for the Smoothie bowl for any vegans out there- a must have!  The pool and shared facilities are great. We used the fishing rods and even caught a fish! The free shuttle into town at 10am and 5pm is super handy for anyone travelling with kids who don’t want to hire motorbikes.

The location is a bit further out than the central buzz of Chiang Mai old town, but transport is easy and cheap so it’s no problem to get to and from the town centre.

The staff were very poite, courteous and helpful. They would help us everytime to book the taxi. We rented bikes from the hotel for 2 days and the bikes were in excellent condition and all we had to do was tell them before 30mins. Normally while returning the bikes, there is usually some drama with some extra charges but thankfully there was nothing of that kind here, the guys came and dropped the bikes with helmets and then took it back without any commotions. Breakfast was simple but nice and we had it by the river side in the morning. Rooms were super clean and very comfortable.

The location is a bit tricky as its little far from the city and getting a taxi is a bit tough in the night ( during the day, its fine). There is a 7 eleven close by and others shops too. The location is tricky because though its a little far from city, its located next to the river and the whole villa is really beautiful during the rainy season, we loved sitting outside in the open.

This place is absolutely fabulous. Everything about it is amazing. The breakfast is exeptional and you have the choice of having it in your room, in the common area, or down on the lawn by the river. The evening meals we had down by the river and were delicious. The staff were so friendly and very helpful with anything you wanted. The infinity pool was fabulous, plenty of pool towels and loungers. They have a common area where you can help yourself to tea and coffee. This is the perfect place to relax in, if that is what you want. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was perfect. Yes, there are bugs and mosquito's around, but you get that anywhere that you have tree's and water. There was plenty of bug spray for you to use though, so it wasn't a problem.

Honestly a lovely place to stay- it’s quiet and the staff are the best thing about the property, they’re willing to go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant by recommending nearby restaurants and booking you taxis/motorbikes etc. 🥹 The hotel/guesthouse is well run with a laundry service and free refillable water💧 the food and drinks are delicious so I would recommend ordering from them! 🤤😋🍜 There are lots of leaflets on activities in Chiang Mai at reception which is super helpful 🙌🏽🐘 wait until you see the garden 🌿🪴 lit up with fairy lights in the evening!

The WiFi wasn’t stable, I think because too many people were using it at the same time.

Fantastic relaxing location seeing the river all the time! There are lots of trees around you're in a full natural mood. The room had a generous size and a big balcony. The bed was big, hard mattress and comfortable. Internet signal was good. Also they have grocery style bicycle for free usage. The pool is nice but used only one time as almost always it's occupied. Can have food on site and also coffee and tea all the time (self brewing). There's plenty of games available and books to read as well as working areas. The gym is not so big but equipped with the necessary tools and equipment. Cleaning was every day and really attention to detail.

Not actually something that didn't like but no staff was able to confirm what TV channels are actually available! Since they had a list with channels that were not on TV.!

By far the best stay in Thailand we've had - everything was so well organised and set up for us. The reception gives you a map of the local spots, a run down sheet of everything you need to know, a menu for breakfast that you can mark off the night before if you're in a rush and even a phone to carry around in case you get lost or need help! All the staff are extremely kind and helpful, the villa itself is beautiful, sits right next to a river and feels like a 4-5 star resort. Not to mention the PILLOWS! The comfiest sleep in Thailand (which can be difficult to find). Their breakfasts are delicious and their common area is great for when you want to grab a coffee/tea/hot chocolate at any time (available 24 hours and free of charge). Honestly so much I could say about this place - it's definitely worth every cent we paid and deserves more stars!

The only thing I would suggest for improvement is the cleaning of the rooms. Although it's great to have someone maintain your room during your stay, we didn't actually indicate that we wanted our room cleaned as it didn't need it aside from towel and water replacements (which is why we kept the key with us) and could have easily asked at the desk for any replacements. It didn't pose as much of an issue in comparison to everything else, but it's just a matter of respecting the privacy and security of guests. Also, the windows are quite thin and we were placed at the front of the villa near the road - so if you're a sensitive sleeper I suggest getting a room with a river view or at least on the side of the river!
