Hotel Puri

The location is unbeatable, 2min walk to Ximen MRT exit 6 and 1min into Ximen market main street. The entrance is located in a small short alleyway. Hotel room wise - we had one with a window and it was corner room so noise was not a concern at all. It was clean and provided all basic necessities - bath towels and hand towels (replaced daily), clean sheats and comfortable pillow, hairdryer etc. They also provide 2 free bottles of water a day which was a huge plus, and receptionist was very friendly and provided us with cutlery when we required it for our takeaway food. Overall was initailly hesistant about this place due to the reviews but was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and location of this hotel! They also allow you to store your luggage with them if its before or after check in/out hours

No big minus points, just that the toilet door is extremely close to the toilet bowl, makes sitting on the toilet bowl quite difficult and if you're >1.75m sitting may actually be difficult unless you leave the door open... pretty sure they have other rooms with a different set up that you can request to avoid this. Initially there was no smoke smell at all (non-smoking room), but at about day 2-3 we could smell a faint whiff of smoke, think it was coming from possibly outside the hotel or another hotel guest, but the room has a good fan system so it wasn't much of a bother.

Location is fantastic, 5min walk to Ximen Station. Toilet is so clean. Comfortable bed. Spacious room at level 1. Staff are friendly. Water dispenser, microwave and toaster available at lobby.

The walls are thin and opt for windowless if u prefer a quiet room. Small hotel thus only the small lobby to rest while waiting to leave after checkout.

The location is strategic and easy to find. There is a laundry room on the third floor, it's convenient and easy to function. The staffs on duty were very kind and helpful with our queries and were always ready to assist us at anytime of the day. The room was clean and comfortable, the pillows were not that great but the bed and covers were very comfy for a good night's sleep.

There are a bars beside and opposite of the hotel, if it's during the weekend like Fridays and Saturdays, the music and the people will be partying till late night and if you do not take a higher floor. You will be annoyed and disturbed by the noise. However, the staffs are kind enough to help us in such situations. We stayed on the fifth floor, with windows, the noise were on going till 3am, however after we spoke to the hotel staff, the party goers were very understanding to tone down.

Super close proximity to Ximending Exit 6, helps when you want to drop by the hotel to place items and head out again. Had the bathtub in my room, was a plus when you just want to soak away the hustle from the day! Bed was comfortable, fell asleep quickly and recharged well for the next day! Plus point for solo travellers for the Hotel's location, the environment has people from early morning till late night, pretty safe. Also, since it is in Ximending, food and beverage are just so close to the Hotel, there is no need to worry about having nothing to eat! Watson is just a street away, there is no need to worry if your toiletries run out, just walk about 2 mins to stock up.

The room is smaller than usual, but still considered cozy. However, the toilet cubicle space is tight, when you close the glass door and sit down, your kneecap might hit the door if you have a bigger body frame.

The location was the best. It’s 1min walking from exit 6 of Ximen Station, right next to Ximen walking street and there are many shops around. The alley is kinda quiet and clean. Secondly, the staff are incredible nice. They can speak English well so it helps a lot.

I think the little thing I dont like about the trip was the sound-proof ^^’’. The first night was kinda awkward, i woke up at midnight due to sensitive noise from other room. However, i booked a budget one so i didnt expect much.

The hotel is very, very near to Exit 6 of the Ximen MRT station and the alley where it is located leads to Ximending so it is really convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and understanding, making our stay a pleasant one.

The hotel’s sanitation system was the older type so guests cannot throw the toilet paper into the toilet bowls. We could understand the limitations but didn’t feel very comfortable about throwing the paper into the bins provided with considerations for hygiene and smell. Fortunately, there was neither any stench nor pests during our stay. The temple behind the hotel also sounded the bell quite frequently during the day. it shouldn’t actually matter since guests would usually be out in the day. We only noticed the bell as we were tired on one particular day and decided to rest in our rooms that afternoon. However, I’m not sure if this was a daily affair since we only stayed in for one afternoon. This should not be a big problem but guests should be aware of this.

Recommended ! - Friendly and helpfully staffs - Best location ;. Just a few mins walk to MRT Ximen - Cleanliness room and public area - Comfortable bed - Hot and extremely water provided in the bathroom - Tea provided in public area - Valuable Money

- No coffee provided (Only tea) - A bit noisy in the morning (House keepers are doing their jobs) But that's not a big deal for me. I still recommend Hotel Puri anyway because this hotel is valuable for money.

The location was good, and the room was clean. They have a microwave at level 1 lobby, which you can use to heat up your late night supper. I highly recommend trying the ramen store just beside this hotel. They serve really good broth!

The bed was a bit too soft. I was slipping off the bed when I tried to sit at the edges 🥺 The room and bathroom are separated by a curtain, which I imagine would be really awkward if you are travelling with friends or family. WC area was really tight. I am <160cm and I have trouble closing the door!

I like the fact that the hotel is straight out the Ximending Walker Street! The staff was also very accommodating and attended to our request, like our airport transfer on our way home and clothes iron. Also would like to point out the transparent glass partition for the toilet and shower area, could’ve been better if this are solid in color. But nonetheless, the room was clean! Would really love to book this hotel again next time 💕

The staff was very nice and helpful! The room was clean. We left Taipei to Kaohsiung for a few days and will be back to the hotel again for a night, the hotel even willing to store our luggage for a few days. We hope our luggage will be safe there when we return to the hotel again.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful when we need to know where to go for site visit. The location is berry convenient.
