The bed was very comfortable, and the room and hotel in general, was very clean, modern and well decorated. For Taiwan, the breakfast was very good. No alternative milk options (not even soy milk), but the coffee was good and there was a reasonable selection of foods for breakfast.

The room was slightly on the small side and it would have been amazing to have more vegan options at breakfast, at least an alternative milk option. There’s no bar or restaurant that serves past breakfast, so if arriving late, be prepared to venture out for food.

The private onsen was a good experience to try at the hotel. The staff was accommodating when I requested for a brighter room. Easy to hail a cab from the hotel.

One of the three room designs was dark and gloomy so I requested for another room, and the room was full of oily sweat smell from the previous occupant. The room should be cleaned properly and aired to ensure no traces of bad odor are left. The ground floor of the hotel also smelled funny. Management should do something about the place’s being infested by mosquitoes on the common area and the elevators.

Hands down one of the prettiest hotels ever! They are very committed to the tree theme, even the elevators are well decorated. Everything looks really new and well maintained. The reception staff were professional and helpful, they had processes for keeping your luggage for you etc. They also had a drinks bar near the reception that's open to all guests. The room is huge, can probably have 4 people living comfortably. Housekeeping staff is really meticulous, the room is incredibly clean and they take care to replace all consumables every day. Toilet is huge and somes with the automated bidet 😄 Location is really convenient, there's a bus stop nearby that can get you to most places in Taipei. There's even a direct bus to Jiufen!

The reception is on the 4th floor which was a bit confusing for us coming in from the 1st floor, until we saw a sign posted near the lift lobby. There wasn't any staff there to give directions at the time that we were trying to check in, although we did see some of them around at other times of the day.

I enjoyed the room in every way I could imagine, from the size of the spacious room, the beautiful tub, the extremely comfortable bed (exceeded my expectation), the super picturesque breakfast area, to the very friendly staff (at the check-in front desk, and at the breakfast restaurant in the hotel). The location was also superb, close to restaurants, sports complex (swimming pools, tracks), parks, local markets, bus stops, in a pretty good neighborhood of Taipei.

The bed was way too comfortable, it made me pretty sad having to leave the hotel at the end of my stay. I wish I could have stayed for a few more nights.

The staff were courteous and helpful. Advice on reserving a taxi for airport pick up was spot on and they made the reservation for me. Additionally they invited me to wait in the lobby where there was seating a tea if I wanted and offered to tell me when my taxi arrived.

The breakfast was not worth the money for me, as a vegetarian. If you eat meat it would be fine, but considering the value of the room the breakfast seemed a bit pricey. There was excellent service and the food I could eat was well prepared....but unfortunately, not many options for me. Scallion pancakes cooked to order, and a couple of fruit options---and salad greens.

we loved EVERYTHING. we did not understand how this hotel was a 3-star to be honest. I’ve stayed in 1-star motels to multi-bed hostels, to 5-star hotels and sometimes even exceeding 5-stars I feel like, and this felt like a 4.5 star. Beds - comfortable. Location - loved that it was near Raohe because that was the point. it’s popping around the area so food isn’t a huge issue. it is not in the CENTER of Taipei, which we already knew and WANTED but it was extremely close to Taipei Arena metro so it was convenient to get to any of the main destinations! also, a good thing about being on a metro stop that isn’t too lit is that the metro is less crowded. because believe me - Taipei metros get CROWDED, like NYC style. so that was a plus on the location. Bathroom - I really liked the layout, and the shower pressure was just amazing! hot water came out quickly and it was just amazing. the toilet is automatic flush and it’s nice but im usually a more eco friendly person so I don’t fully appreciate that it flushed after every flush because sometimes I like to use it and then my boyfriend uses it and then we flush to save water, but smallest complaint. the bathtub was comfortable. View - was able to see Taipei 101! amazing. Lobby - just so gorgeous. can go downstairs to drink coffee, get teas, and just loiter around when you’re waiting for your family or friends that come with you on the trip! would stay here next time when I come to Taipei. thank you for a great stay.

The staff was PHENOMENAL. Super helpful, friendly, responsive, and knowledgable. I asked a million questions, and had lots of requests. They were uniformly patient and willing to go above and beyond to assist. We stayed a total of 7 nights (two separate stays), so we had lots of time to get familiar with the staff. Couldn't recommend more to stay at this hotel based on the quality of the service alone!! The breakfast is excellent and the restaurant is so beautiful. It has indoor and outdoor dining, all done in a full "tree motif". Don't miss it. The rooms are each individually decorated, all in a nature theme, which was super fun. The rooms were clean, spacious, modern, and updated. The shower is excellent! There are complimentary drinks in the mini fridge, which was a nice touch, along with a Nespresso coffee maker (no instant coffee!) and a tea kettle. The hotel is has a 7-11 across the street, and it is within walking distance of several convenience stores, grocery stores, and any other retail you might need.

The gym is a bit small but it does the trick! The hotel is about 10 mins from the closet MRT (subway) stop, so we mostly took taxis to get around. If immediate accessibility to the subway is important to you, this is just something to keep in mind. The location is otherwise really central and convenient, though. And there's a great little daily fresh food market on the street right next door to the hotel, which is a great spot to find breakfast, fruit, and snacks for day hikes!

A creatively deigned hotel truly in character with its name. Rooms large, clean updated and modern.Toilet has transparent glass door and located next to the window but privacy possible by a curtain drawn across the bathroom part of the room. Quiet and dark. the curtain and blinds work well. TV channels mostly Taiwanese with only two European English language. Breakfast extensive but the Western side has low quality bread, squishy scrambled eggs, not much fruit but good coffee. Reception helpful. mark is the best , some of the others are overly conscientious and correspondingly thorough. Taxis come quickly and staff always help with instructions to give to the driver

Unique and well designed hotel.

There was some leftovers granola bar bits at bottom of sofa. To be fair, the leftovers blended in with the carpet so it was not easy to spot and the team cleaned it up as soon as it was feedback to them the next day. Soundproofing could have been better, heard kids shrieking pretty much everytime I walked out to the lift or back. There should be a sign to indicate concierge at level 4 on ground level so it's clear.

The room size in arTree are huge. For the location wise, it is situated near a big sports stadium & TV broadcast building. Nearby has a good stretch of Sport store, also in Taipei in terms of convenient stores to get your daily necessities e.g soap, toothbrush, facial cleanser. they are all nearby the hotel. In the night, there isn't much entertainment around the around. However, morning & day it's where the place instantly come to live. There are wet market below the hotel, and there are also plenty of morning market shops that are operating behind the entire stretch of street behind the hotel to experience the local morning street market.

The metro station isn't that close as expected. Also night food choices isn't that much choices available near the area.
