Hotel South Sea

Good Value for Money. Short walk from the Mrt Red Line and the night market and some touristy spots. Room was clean and comfortable.

The guy with the specs in the reception ( probably the main person) has some serious attitude problem. No smile, no gesture and was kinda rude. He behaves as though we owe him something! But other staffs was okay.

It was a hassle-free, pleasant experience. From central station I took a bus, but could equally take MRT and frankly it is not even that far to walk if you travel light. Check-in was painless, I was able to communicate in English easily, and the lady who checked me in provided the essential strategic information as to where nearby to get breakfast and such (without even me asking), which was strongly appreciated. Furthermore, during my stay the front desk was always there and ready to help. Wi-Fi was reliable. The room was not luxurious or fancy but had everything I needed, and enough space and horizontal surfaces to put my things. Cleaning was not intrusive, which I personally prefer (room would be cleaned whenever I ask). A/C unit in the room I got was very quiet. Importantly for the cold wave, the A/C could be switched to heating mode. The windows could be opened to air the room out when the air outdoors is clean enough. In addition to the washing machine available in the hotel itself, there is also a new self-service laundry with a dryer within walking distance. There’s a night market not far. Central park, river could be reached on foot, as could Komeda’s and other chain cafes and restaurants. Orange line is nice for getting to other, even better coffeeshops and cafes.

I visited during the cold season and liked the room that faces the sun the most, but that room also faces a loud road (not hotel’s fault). You can hear your immediate neighbours a bit when you have any, though it’s not as bad as in many other hotels in this price range. The bathroom ceiling may be a bit low for a tall person, and shower head is mounted correspondingly not quite high enough. The chair in the room was soft to sit on but could’ve been even more comfortable with back support.

Location is amazing! Close to everything. Rooms are very clean. Staffs are super friendly and they all speak basic english and very helpful. You can ask if u want ur room cleaned. The price is very worth it! Just the location overall wins. There's also a laundry service a few meters from the property which is 24/7, clean and easy to use. Overall, I'd definitely come back to this hotel.

The only thing I could comment on is that there is no breakfast. But it's no big deal because there's a lot of breakfast options in the area.

Loved the location, 5mins walk from exit 4 of city council station (which has escalator). Also has ok mart/family mart nearby.

No separation in the washroom between bath and toilet resulting in everything getting wet. Washroom is pretty dated too.

The staff were good at responding to my needs and did a good clean of my room when asked, greeted me every time I entered the building, made me feel welcome

The listing mentioned laundry service but I had to go around the corner to a laundromat. The bathroom had a few dirty spots, I had to ask for hand soap.

Their high CP and location are what I like. Besides that, the clerks help us on both the morning call and arrange the taxi which meet the schedule I set. Appreciate that hotel’s work. You could choose it as planning to board flight early.

It's calm and everything works well like AC. The atmosphere is quiet and clean.

The only downside is that the bed's sheets seem kinda dirty. Plus there is a window, but there is wall in front, which blocks the sunshine.

the AC worked phenomenally well. the bed was comfortable too. the laundry situation is a little rustic, but it gets the job done. the staff was particularly helpful and friendly. really close to a mrt stop which is also a plus

Good location; most staff spoke & understood english; very friendly and helpful staff; quiet. We would certainly stay there again and recomend to others.

The room was clean but rather small. We came during the Black Pink concert season so the price is not cheap. Staffs are friendly and the location is good.
