Hôtel Bon Rivage

We had street view but the room was so spacious which was great! There was a fan in the room so once we shut the window to keep out the sound of the traffic, it was fine. But if it were hotter nights, then maybe it would have been a problem? Staff at reception were very helpful. They were happy to help and answer any questions we had. Nearby Migros was convenient. Receiving travel tourist cards upon check in for free local transportation was cool. Also 50 percent off on some tourist sights in the area like Chillon and Chapllin's World.

Shower curtains in our toilet was a bit old school. Our toilet ended up wet most of the time after a shower. Breakfast could be better. Too limited in variety. Especially for a three star plus. I had been in a normal three star and there was more variety at breakfast. At least scrambled egg and not just self help boiled eggs?

I enjoyed my stay very much at the property. The room we had (not lake view) was very spacious (quite a rarity in this area) and was clean. Reception team were very very helpful and very enthusiastic too! The hotel is just by the lake (although you’d have to cross a little road to get direct access) so the view from the garden behind the hotel was wonderful. You can go for a dip in the lake and there’s also a little playground for kids. There’s a room on the first floor with some gym equipment (bike, treadmill and elliptical) and it doubles as a kids club. That was appreciated as my daughter kept busy while I had my sweat sesh. Parking was very convenient and plenty of decent restaurants around. There’s La Pizzetta that’s popular among the locals and the Asia joint called Hong Kong had a good lunch set menu. Supermarket is also a stone’s throw away from hotel!

The hotel is on the main road so being in a room that faces the road was a little loud. But once windows were shut tight it was quite sound proof. Although it would have been nice to have the cool summer air come in, we resorted to use the fan that was provided. The service at the restaurant was very good! The young man there was very enthusiastic and helpful. But I can’t say the food was good! My daughter’s cordon bleu was not fully cooked and instead of replacing it with a freshly made one, they took the same piece and re-cooked it. Taste-wise everything was not great.

The hotel room was nicely decorated and comfortable. As it was a room looking onto the road it was noisy when the windows were open which was necessary during hot weather. The kettle and drinking water in the corridor were very much appreciated. The breakfast was very good - plenty of choice. Breakfast could be eaten either on the terrace or inside. Due to the sparrows and wasps wanting to share breakfast with clients, it was sometimes necessary to eat inside! A very enjoyable visit to La Tour de Peilz.

The water jugs and kettle in the corridors were sometimes empty.

The lake view was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. The lavender sachet was a nice touch. As other reviewers have mentioned, lake view rooms face south and do get warm but a good fan was provided. The hotel has a beautiful garden with sitting nooks and dining on the veranda, and it is near an interesting boardwalk. Compared to other lakeside accommodations, Bon Rivage is a good value. It is across from the bus stop and provides a local bus pass with discounts for tourist activities. The staff was helpful even though we speak only English.

This is a small thing- a hot water kettle is provided on each floor with tea and instant coffee, but the water pitcher was usually empty. I'm sure someone would have filled it if I asked.

located at the lake of Geneva, bus stop almost in front of the hotel to travel to Vevey city center and Montreux, room offered everything one needs, very clean, but it was very hot on that day and with only a fan in the room, the temperature remained high. I definitely missed air conditioning very friendly staff and breakfast on the terrace was nice.

nothing to complain, would have been nice to have a drink on the terrace in the afternoon but there was no shade

I loved it!! That was one of the reasons I came back as I had visited you about 3 years ago!

The coffee and tea arrangement in the corridor could have been improved… water refilled by staff, I did it myself from my bathroom… more milk… I had to ask for more and the extra was insufficient! And some of the teas and coffee supplies also ran out… I was very grateful for the facility, as I had booked in to get over jet lag in privacy!! I needed to drink a LOT and there was no mention that drinks were available on the floor… I found them myself!…. That is such a small criticism but I hope it will help you!! Maybe the domestic staff need to be more vigilant?? But I LOVED the hotel!!😊🌷

the hotel building is beautiful with classic style.You can enjoy stunning scenic view of Geneva lake behind the hotel which can see from hotel restaurant. Reception is very warm welcome, friendly and helpful.a lot of free parking space for who traveling by private car and if you would like to access to Vevey and Montreux, the bus stop just opposite hotel which free travel card for tourist.

Breakfast had not much various of choice and some material were not fresh.

Hotel is very nice and well located just in front of the lake with nice terrace outside. Breakfast was fine and staff was very professional and friendly. There are travel cards included but we were using bikes to reach Montreux and centre of Vevey with the path along the lake which is super easy and nice. Parking and hotel restaurant onsite.

As building with history it is not sound proof and you could hear the neighbours above if were too loud. We had bad luck someone was jumping or playing ball from early morning. In one of the beds the bed base was collapsing from just sitting (none of us weight more than 80kg :)). There is no air conditioning but a fan that for spring is perfectly ok. For breakfast we were missing some vegetables only.

Excellent location on Lake Geneva, historic building with charm and magnificent views. Also, it is nice to find an affordable 3 star property in such a location and not only 5 star de luxe. However, unfortunately we came for the Montreux Jazz Festival so of course prices were more 5 star than 3 star 🤭🤣

Breakfast selection very basic. I missed fresh vegetables or salad. When it gets busy one coffee machine seems insufficient.

The staff especially the handsome man at the reception was patient, kind and helpful. The hotel provided the slippers when we asked for. Besides, the resident card provided was good. We can take the bus free and 50% discount of the museum fees. The hotel restaurant was beautiful.

Joining the wifi was complicated as it needed to send SMS to my mobile phone. However, we don’t have the phone number. So we used our own data.
