Hotell Hjalmar

Great location, right in the downtown area and a quick walk to everything like restaurants, the Castle, grocery store, Sytembologet, stores, etc. Room was small but everything needed for a solo traveler. Reception was friendly.

Elevator was broken during part of my stay and I had to carry my heavy roller bags in two trips to check out, no ice machine or vending but only minor issues to me. Breakfast was across the street which I never got a chance to try and find or try. My view was a parking lot with construction but luckily the windows blocked most of the sound and I was gone during the majority of the construction but couldn't open the window to let air in due to the noise.

The room was very clean, the bed linen was crisp and fresh and the bed was comfortable. The room had a kettle, which is a bonus. Great location, close to train station and town centre. Reception staff appeared friendly. Would stay again.

Towels were thin but smelled clean. Breakfast was served in a hotel across the road, which was understandable as the hotel was getting refurbished. Had to collect the key from the hotel across the road, and I would have liked a more personal reception, but only a minor inconvenience Would have liked tissues to be available in the room.

Pretty looking hotel and we had a nice sized room. Convenient distance from the train station, with friendly staff. Close distance to a local supermarket and we had a fridge available in our room. Short walk to the town centre.

The breakfast was served in the basement of the hotel located directly opposite. The breakfast was extremely basic, the coffee was pretty awful and the boiled eggs were green! However what can you expect for the price we payed.

The room was very clean and spacious, it is easy to find the hotel and it literary takes no more than 5 minutes to walk to the Orebro castle and other main central sights. Also the hotel is very quiet. Elevator was very helpful after the long day of walking. The breakfast was decent, regular set of hotel meals that you expect to see in the morning.

Our window was facing the inner yard cowered in building constructions, car details and building trash, which was not very beautiful but nothing terrible also :) The downside was that they started working early in the morning and it was very noisy (we had open window, because it was very hot and the portable conditioner in the room was very loud so we couldn't sleep with it). Also it was a surprise that the hotel restaurant doesn't work on Sundays, and I expected to have dinner there to avoid walking home late in the evening from some other place.

The location of the hotel is amazing, very close to the train station and right next to the city center. Room was spacious; simple but pleasant interior, high ceilings, bright. Staff was helpful. I had an an issue with my reservation and it was very quickly resolved. Breakfast was very good, nice selection of cold cuts and yoghurt/muesli, but the hot dishes are "hidden" further in the dining area and I actually only noticed them after I already had my breakfast. All in all, a very pleasant stay and good value for money.

The shower is in dire need of maintenance. The shower head was leaking and water pressure seemed to be rather low. The mattress was not great either.

Great location, easy access from the highway. Made a same day reservation that went smoothly. The public areas were well designed and decorated in a timeless and classic manner. The room was more bare bones but still nice and clean, the bed was comfy. Good breakfast!

The toilet paper holder was placed uncomfortably in the en suite bathroom, which made it hard to reach from the toilet. Also didn't like the humming coming from the ventilation system. Nit-picky issues!

Overall stay. Good and tasty breakfast lot to choose from the buffe. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Staff are very helpful and always kind. I was staying here many times, and I enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it!

Evening meals would be great. It would be very convenient to eat at the same place for me. And an update on a kettle that is available in the room. Some rooms have newer ones, but last time I ended up with an old one XD

The size of a family room was ok. The breakfast was good. The towels were changed and the beds were made daily.

Personally I found the beds were too high and too soft, but this is not a critical point. I also think that in family rooms one could provide more hooks or bars to dry the towels. I personally don't like when the bathroom is super small and the shower is not really separated from the toilet. So the water from the shower easily flows to the whole bathroom. That was the case here. The breakfast was supposed to be booked by time to limit the amount of people at one place during the pandemics, but it didn't really work. It seems that everyone came during the specific time and the cafeteria was overcrowded. The staff explained that they did the most they could, but there could be a better control from their side over the amount of people really coming during the booked time.

Perfect location for exploring Örebro. Very close to a large parking garage. Room was spacious and nice, well lit. Overall very pleasant stay.

Breakfast room was very crowded, so if you´re in a hurry, go a bit earlier. Then again, I was there on a national holiday, so this probably doesn´t happen on a regular basis.

The hotel is perfect for a short stay in Örebro. Very well located in the centre, and close to the train station. The breakfast is varied and excellent. The rooms are quiet and very clean. A great time!

We arrived on a Sunday, and unfortunately the service at the reception was very minimal. The "classic automatisms" were missing (presentation of the place, breakfast, gym, opening hours, location on the city map). It was us who had to ask all these questions at the reception.
