Clarion Hotel Sense

Every day excellent breakfast cared for by very friendly team. Excellent e-mail communication during booking procedure. Short distance to ice trail. Delicious food in hotel restaurant, excellent wine, great view. A big plus: Free coffee and tee in the lobby all day. Front desk team was very responsive and helpful.

The early-bird breakfast was not good, unfortunately. The restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings. Spa and large sauna were closed from Sunday to Wednesday. Spa needs to be pre-booked. Air condition in room was not adjustable, windows could not be opened. Cleanliness could be improved.

The hotel is new and well-designed. The room was large, very clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast offers a wide variety of quality product, and the restaurant Nine, located in the roof-top at the 9th floor, where also the breakfast area is offer a cosy ambience and great view on the city. The room feature a large safebox, and the bathroom with large shower. The hotel offers also a SPA (which need booking and a little fee) and sauna with complimentary access. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. Special thanks to member of the staff, who are kind and professional, from reception, to restaurant, from SPA to housekeeping. The location is very central, a few steps from the main shopping street and the bus stop. Also several dining options with a short walk in the area.

The room temperature was not cold, but not as warm as I would have liked (+1 or 2 °C) either, and I could not find a way any control to regulate temperature to my need: not a big issue anyway. The SPA has limited access time (it closes at 8pm on week-days, and at 1pm on Sunday, while Monday and Tuesday was closed). As I was on a business trip, my free tie was limited during working hours and several days I could not find time to enjoy the SPA in its limited opening time.

On my way to Stockholm from the Barents Sea I found this hotel. Having traveled 900 kms it turned out to be great. Perfect in location. There was a general parking space nearby so I could park without cost between 18-09. Perfect. Found an asian restaurant round the corner that had a terrace facing right into the evening sun. Room was without any complaints. Clean and fresh. Breakfast was on the top floor and was really impressive. I didn't try having dinner there but had I stayed two nights I would have tested. Lovely view over the city. You won't be disappointed staying here.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Lovely fairly new hotel, shame things were closed, like the roof top bar & restaurant, we were worried we wouldn't get anything to eat, but it was 24th to 26th December. We found a 3 restaurants open, we walked to the Bishops Arms pub, but limited menu due to only chef & manager working, so Fish n chips or burger n chips.. it worked.. I chose this hotel as it was only a 3hrs 30 fro. Rovaniemi, Santa's village and the Arctic Circle, so a great day trip on the 25th.. oh and underground parking was handy as it was below freezing & snowing. Tight for my Dodge Ram, but no problem. Lovely helpful staff & breakfast was very good..

No open bar or restaurant, but it was Christmas day & why shouldn't staff be at home.. it wasn't a drama, just an inconvenience..

The spa with the sea view and scrubs and lotions included in the price of our Deluxe room. Great breakfast with the sea view. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand, body lotion, shaving kit and dental kit was available for us in our room. Very big size of the room. There was both bath and shower in our room. Very friendly staff.

There were windows in our room, but we could not open them (there was no handle). There was air conditioning but we could not manage it yourself.

The location is perfect, 13 min away from the airport by bus. The staff is lovely, there is always tea, coffee and fruits available at the reception, very good to warm yourself after coming from the snow, the breakfast is exceptional, so many options, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious for a fair price, the view from the restaurant is very nice, the lobby is so stylish, with the big lamps, and the spa is a must. I had a very enjoyable time.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The Hotel is well situated in Lulea. Nice view to the harbour and only a few minutes walk to the other side. Shopping in five minutes clothes souvenires and local products. Wonderfull breakfast. Good restaurants and bar. spa and sauna possibilities. Very helpful staff and service.

Only one thung I did not understand. The opening hours of the sauna. The 8th floor service only two days was open after that I had to go the downstairs facility. I tell you the 8th floor sauna has the best view of the town.

Great location, breakfast. Hotels location was superb, underground parking should be very congested especially durian colder seasons, although for extra price. Spa area was not very specious but well maintained.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, overall material quality in the room was poor. Windows could not be opened and the was poor ventilation in the room with no ability to adjust temperature.

The hotel is great! The welcoming was very warm and pleasant, the lobby is very big and with a very young and comfortable feeling to rest, to have coffee or beer. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of different options and all in good flavor, and the location of the breakfast on the top floor made it even more special.

Although I choose not the biggest room, I felt that the bathroom space is quite big the shower space was very small and I think it could have taken more space there.

It is excellent.

There was an international political event that occurred nearby during my stay. To say that it made things difficult for the hotel staff and the average tourist or business guest would be a total understatement. It caused disruption to everyone. The hotel and staff did their absolute best to accommodate everyone. I will leave it at that!
