First Hotel Witt

The location of the hotel was good and within walking distance to the centre/shops/restaurants. The standard room was adequate with good lighting. We felt the room was a bit small and basic, but the comfort of the bed made up for the size of the room, which we anyway only used to sleep in. The breakfast was superb. A huge choice of both hot and cold food. I would return to the hotel just for breakfast!!

The underground garage was good and easy to use but costs 150SEK which we thought should be included in the price.

The hotel is situated very close to the Stora Torget. Several pubs and restaurants are available nearby, which is very good. Free parking lot on the weekends is available three blocks away.

The sauna is located at the men's shower area. This makes it uncomfortable and allow people to use the shower for other purposes, even for couples, as my boyfriend saw and heard. The room is quite tight. So maybe the bed could be arranged in a more functional way.

Town centre and a couple of minutes walk from the sea and small town beach. Walking distance to food, water, shops and train/ bus station. Helpful staff, good facilities. We enjoyed the pool and the gym Sauna is not on all day so need to time it if you want to use sauna. We went in winter and it was rather quiet, especially during the week.

Extra single bed for our child could have been more comfy, but it was as described when we booked.

We had a suite, so the room was very big with a living room and a fridge. There was a nice bathtub and it was really dark at night with the curtains drawn so we could sleep well. The breakfast was also very good with several types of smoothies, fruit, some warm food, cheeses, etc. The staff was very friendly and the pool had long opening hours.

The pool was warm by Swedish standards, but it was a bit short. Since there was a lot of space after the end of the pool it would have been easy to have built it longer.

Our room was very clean, we had a junior suite and we had plenty of space, it had a living room with a desk and tv, small fridge, traditional Swedish bathroom was great. The bedroom had two comfortable chairs and plenty of space for our things. We live in the next town over and come here to get away and enjoy Kalmar. The breakfast is my favorite, loaded with everything, I wish they didn’t take out the waffle maker but I know what a mess that thing can be. but I was very happy they replaced it with Swedish pancakes, strawberry preserves and whipped cream.

Old fashioned place with a charm. Very comfy beds. Hotel very clean and comfortable. And what is the most important for me - DELICIOUS FOOD! Scrambled eggs made with eggs, not with egg powder, coffee certified Rainforest Alliance, fresh bread. All fresh and tasty. I will book the same hotel when travel to Kalmar!

Really good location, very helpful staff, well maintained cleanliness, all the facilities were good especially Free Coffee and cookies, Used Swimming pool, Sauna and Played Table Tennis, Good Breakfast, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay there

A little bit different choices in breakfast for different days.. overall it is good but a person staying for more days would be more happier if 1-2 choices are new/ replaced from previous day’s menu.

Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the Hotel provided a takeaway option if you where planning on going out at Breakfast time. Th location was perfect for us, east to walk to amenities, restaurants and sites.

On a personal note the beds where a bit too soft for us, although this is not a criticism of the Hotel as they have to find a happy medium for their guests.

Very nice people, good breakfast, elegant kind of old style hotel with modern look. Very nice combination. 24/7 self service coffee table. The hotel is in the best spot of Kalmar. All the sightseeing, shops, restaurants are near the hotel within 100m to 1km. We didn't have to use the car at all. Wonderful walk to all the directions. The pool is nice and clean.

A think a delux room should be a bit bigger and no need to ask for the second armchair and a shoe hook. Also two simple beds are not comfortable put together. The table tennis we liked (that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel) but was not enough place to play freely. Also because of the pool it was hot there and the humidity was too high that we had to finish earlier than we wanted. Can you please relocate the table that we can chose this hotel again next time we visit Kalmar? 😊

Comfortable, nice and easy! Fantastic breakfast and location! This was our second stay, and we are sure going back for more!

Maybe they could fix some things in smaller and cheaper rooms, maybe it’s a stretch because staying there is really nice and affordable but still that is something that can caught the eye, but still it is pretty clean. Pool itself could be cleaner specially at the end of a busy day. In the morning water is clearly “clear” :) But this is all just nitpicking like I said in field above, we are coming back because is comfortable nice and easy!
