Fort Bliss

This property was exceptional and my wife and I stayed for two nights and I would like to congratulate the two Sri Lankan Staff, Samil and Imran who were absolutely fantastic. They made us very welcome and fed and watered us brilliantly, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend staying at this property it’s outstanding. Samil is a fantastic Chef and his breakfast was delicious, his sausage, egg and mushrooms were outstanding. Thanks guys you were brilliant.

We had a very comfortable stay at Fort Bliss and were looked after brilliantly by the wonderful staff, Sunil and Imran. The double bedrooms were spacious, bathrooms spotless and beds very comfortable. Sunil cooked delicious breakfast - eggs any style (we can recommend the Sri Lankan omelette!) plus fruit platters, coffee and toast - a great way to start the day! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff: Sunil was keen to answer any questions and advise on things to do and places to eat while we were in Galle Fort and, even after we had moved on to our next destination, Imran personally oversaw the return of a very much loved sentimental item when we accidentally left it in a taxi. That is going the extra mile! Thank you Sunil and Imran for looking after us so well.

Beautiful old house in a quiet street of Galle Fort. The hotel has only a few rooms, which makes the place intimate and homey. Our room was large, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The beautiful dark wooden furniture adds to the colonial atmosphere. Despite that, we found the room not very cozy (empty and bare), with only one window to the outside. Outside our room was a nice, small sitting area. Breakfasts were huge and tasty (but the fresh juices a little too sweetened...). Staff was very friendly and attentive, really doing their best making you feel at home. We definitely would stay here again. Recommended!

Superb little hotel, in an excellent location. The room was extremely clean and well furnished, with great bathroom facilities. Breakfast was the best we had on our tour, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back, as one night was not enough!

Sunil and Imran did a great job in making us feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely little hotel which is very clean and comfortable and fantastic value. Hotel is perfectly located at the southern end of the Fort. Breakfast is very substantial with fruit, eggs, toast etc.

Sunil and Imron made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The breakfast was a highlight of our day, prepared with care and presented beautifully. We recommend Fort Bliss and give it the highest ratings!

A great choice in Fort Galle in a narrow street by the sea. The building is impressive, beautiful and decorated in a traditional way. A/C worked well, everything was clean, comfortable bed and lovely shower. The walls are a little thin but it didn't really bother us. Breakfast was good, nice portions. all fresh

Sunil and Imbra did everything possible to make me feel at home. Beautiful fruit was available at all times of the day + tea and coffee. Washing was done free of charge. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the fort area.

Lovely building. Good location close to all that was happening in Galle walled town. Close to the wall and sea. Quiet at night and felt safe. Clean and comfortable. We were looked after well and a great breakfast every morning. Recommended!

Location near the lighthouse, great breakfast including an amazing fruit platter, and the homely atmosphere provided by Sunil & Ibrahim. The view from our room over fort wall was excellent.
