Hotel San Lorenzo Boutique

The Hotel is very central but also very quiet. The room was large with a double bed and a chaise lounge as well as desk and cupboard so overall very spacious. I chose not to have breakfast but had water and a lemon slice each morning in my room before going out for coffee and four times for breakfast/brunch. And all around there was a lot of choice.

A couple of the male receptionists were not friendly, helpful or didn't smile. As I teach Customer Service I am very aware of how important it is and receptionists in every hotel/company/organisation are the client's/customer's first and most important impression. A smile costs nothing!!!!!!

This was a wonderful hotel, located very close to Plaza de la Reina, in the historic part of the city. It was near all the facilities, and old buildings such as the beautiful silk exchange and the many beautiful sites. It was on a quiet street, opposite the very old and historic Las Cortes. There is no through vehicular access. Sleeping at night or early in the morning is a joy as you are not woken up. Our room was big with a free standing bath as well as an en-suite. It was very bright with two balconies. The hotel was very clean and tidy. All the staff were fantastic. We felt able to ask any questions. We were made to feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel. Gracias.

Location was great! Exterior of the building is beautiful and our room was very nice. Only stayed one night before leaving Valencia, so didn't really get to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again, though, just in a different room.

We were put in a wheelchair accessible room (which we didn't require), so while it was spacious, the sink was low, the shower was walk-in, which is fine, but you need to be careful with the water, and the handshower was so high, that I could barely reach it. The hot water pressure wasn't great, the cold was great, but cold! The AC/heat didn't seem to work very well.

Location was in the heart of the old city. So close to everything. Staff were extremely helpful and offered suggestions for meals etc, nothing was a problem. The room had a patio table and chairs and sofa so there was plenty of room to relax. And the air conditioning worked!! I liked that it is in a pedestrian area with no vehicles in sight! Shops, sights and eateries literally on the doorstep.

This is not a fault of the property! We were so busy out and during our stay we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the facilities or have a bath in the fabulous bath in our room! (We did find it a bit odd there was no blanket on the bed but we found one in the cupboard)

The room was simply immense and the location was ideal to have the good balance between being close to the old city center, Turia park, easy pick-up/drop-off point for taxis and public transport in general. I would rebook it for a short holiday again

Our bathroom could have benefitted by a better rack arrangement for towels and surface area for resting stuff. The shower area also could have benefitted by a stronger lighting but in the end they were marginal details that did not prevent us from leaving a positive review

Everything was PERFECT! The hotel is in the heart of Valencia, in the city centre; you have all the main attractions very close by walking. We did the check in with Matteo and he was very kind, he explained everything ( also about the water machine where we could fill up the bottle!). Everyone from the staff was kind! The room was very big, clean, comfortable, with comfy beds, with 2 balconies, with coffee machine and all the utilities. The hotel was quiet, we didn't hear a voice in the corridor, not even once. It exceeded all the expectations! I recommend this hotel 100%.

Hotel location was excellent only a very short walk to the Plaza de la Virgen and the Catedral de Valencia, close to numerous bars, restaurants and shops. It was easy to get to the Metro or Bus stops. It was walking distance to many of the Museums and places of interest. The Hotel staff were very helpful especially Alex on Reception.

The view from room, if you can afford it, it might be worth booking a room with a view. We had the stone wall of the Church next door, only a few feet away from the window. It made the room a little dark, on the positive side, the room was very spacious and this helped to make it more acceptable.

I had a really good stay at this hotel, the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, we asked for more pillows and a kettle for the room and this was done with no problem, the room & bathroom were very clean and it was nice having our beds made and the room tidied during the day, I stayed in room 104 and the balcony view was lovely, it was noisy at times but this was to be expected since we stayed during their busy time in March and once the balcony doors were shut they blocked out most of the noise! The location is really nice and central and there is plenty of public transport around, we got the airport train to Alameda and walked to the hotel from there! After checkout the hotel held our bags for us which was also a plus. This was my first time in Valencia and this hotel definitely made my stay better:)

The room was very hot during the night and the aircon in the room wasn’t that good, we had a remote to control it but it didn’t make any difference, I stayed in a classic double room and one of the beds was uncomfortable but I didn’t mind because there was an extra duvet in the wardrobe that I put on the bed and slept on top of and it was much softer then.

Great location for a hotel: downtown, close to everything yet on a reasonably quiet street! Spacious room with the windows/balconies looking down the square. Cannot say anything about breakfast as we had them outside of the hotel. The staff was usually very polite and helpful (provided maps, booked our massages, rental bicycles and even our bus tickets for the journey back).

We asked the staff on the 2nd day to fix the handle in the bathroom, but it has not been done when we left. Also, asked for an iron, was promised it, but didn't get one. Wish the hotel offered shower gel and shampoo (as separate options). Adding a backet for recyclables would be nice.

Location is amazing, close to everything except oceanographic etc. Lovely old building in very lovely old part of the city. Room was a great size. It was lovely to have a little table and chairs to sit and have a drink. Great tea/coffee facilities. Shower was good. Shutters blocked out any street noise. Slept well. There was air con but we didn't use it. Valencia is fabulous.

We didnt have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that. The only thing that I think should be improved on is the key card, which needed a couple of tries before we could get the lights on. Otherwise everything was good.
