Hotel Atalaia B&B

* The hotel's ideal location, situated close to both the city center and Santiago's historic core, offered convenient access to explore the vibrant surroundings. * Each morning, breakfast greeted us with a delightful array of sweets and cakes, showcasing a different local selection daily—a tasty treat to start the day. * The rooms exuded a cozy tranquility, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside. * Simple gestures like providing umbrellas at the entrance made a significant impact, enabling us to venture out even during unexpected stormy weather, a thoughtful touch that enhanced our stay.

* Breaksfast was great, but it needs a bit more attention from a member of the staff. Often, the juice jar was empty, and I had to crush the oranges myself 😆. No problem at all with that, but I found intrusive using their kitchen and their appliances myself.

The location is ideal, on the edge of the old city. It is walkable into the city but quiet. The staff made the difference, they are thoughtful and professional. Breakfast offers fresh fruits, breads and cake. The coffee is decent from a self serve machine. It is nicely decorated and modern.

I arrived here wet and exhausted from my last day of walking the camino. I was welcomed warmly. The hotel was clean, quiet. Most importantly, the receptionist was amazingly warm and helpful. My two pieces of warm clothing- fleece and coat was soaked and she very kindly tumble dried my fleece so that i could go out that evening for dinner. I felt so fragile this day and she just helped me when i needed it- i felt very blessed. It is located right next to the airport shuttle- very very helpful!! 30min 1euro- perfect! Opposite is mama peixe - the best restaurant in santiago.

The hotel had a nice lobby area snd we were allowed to leave our bags and go have lunch because we were too early to check in. When we returned our bags were already taken to our room. The gentleman at the reception was also kind yo order us a taxi for the next morning as we had an early flight out. The room was nice, the bed comfortable with good lighting. The bathroom and shower were spacious with a fair amount of shelf space to rest toiletries and had enough hooks for towels.

The heating was fixed st 24°C which wasn’t too bad but it would have been nice to have the room a bit warmer. Still the temp was warmer than other places we stayed.

The room was very comfortable and cleaned every day. Breakfast was very generous with a good selection to choose from and all fresh, fresh orange juice was a lovely treat. All the hotel staff were very friendly and were more than happy to help if you had any questions about the city attractions, recommendations to eat or places to see. We had an early start the morning we left so the hotel made us a pack up to take with us to the airport which was very kind.

The only thing we said we would of preferred was fresh coffee maybe in cafeterias at breakfast time rather than the coffee machine, however that is our personal choice as we don't particularly like the machine coffee but it was very nice to be able to use the machine at anytime during our stay free of charge.

Perfect location, only a few minutes walk from the centre and all the main attractions and right across the road from a cool small rock bar. I choose this place specifically as theirs a moto only parking right beside it so it's ideal for motorcycles, park the bike up and the hotel is right there so it's ideal. Asked could they do laundry which they were happy to oblige, €10 for a big bag of cloths for two washed and dried and back on our bed the same evening. Staff were very friendly and informative and the room was spotless clean and anything you could want. From a motorcycle touring couple we would definitely recommend.

Excellent location within easy walking to all of the main attractions. Spotlessly clean room with a large powerful shower. Continental breakfast was good. Availability of fresh coffee 24/7 was a really nice surprise. Dining recommendations from the staff at reception were excellent and everyone we had contact with was friendly and helpful.

Would have appreciated a bit of variety at breakfast and maybe a hot option even something as simple as boiled eggs, we only stayed 3 nights but 3 identical breakfasts does get a little dull. That apart we had a great time.

We just finished the Camino and this was a happy respite after the pilgrimage. Great location in the city. Staff was thoughtful and wished my husband a happy birthday and had a little treat for him at check in. Beautiful room and liked having the free toiletries and enjoyed breakfast both mornings. Staff was helpful answering questions and gave us good recommendations for dinner. It was also very helpful they were able to call us a taxi on the day we needed it.

beautiful b&b and even more beautiful room. We had the attic and it was spacious, beautifully decorated and with ample space for our family. The room was clean. Contact with the host was excellent. As we arrived later, he sent us the entry codes and even photos of where the keys were, perfect instructions! Good breakfast. To anyone coming by car - it's in a pedestrian area, but upon booking the host sent me a list of the parking garages and the rates. So it was easy to look up and find the closest car park (La Salle).

This hotel located in the old town is very conveniently placed near to many restaurants and points of interest. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, were able to make recommendations for places to eat which were fantastic. We sent a bag of washing to the hotel laundry service which was €10 for a small bag and was returned first thing the next morning all fresh and folded - I was so grateful to have all my clothes properly washed after a week on the Camino! The breakfast of toast and cereal and fruit was also very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The one and only negative I have about this hotel is in relation to the glass door into the bathroom. I really felt like I had very little privacy in the bathroom and I found this design very strange. I cannot imagine that many people would like this set up but rather that all the positive points for the hotel make up for it. It wasn’t even frosted glass, it was clear glass and you could clearly been seen from the room if the other person was moving about. I did not like this at all and I would recommend that the hotel frost the glass and give their guests some privacy in the shower and on the toilet!
