Hotel Macià Doñana

The food and pool were good and the staff was very good. When I returned after I checked out the staff were very helpful. Yes the staff worked hard and always had a big smile. That included the cleaning staff. Very helpful. They helped with taxi reservations.

Really my fault, but I got a standard room with no balcony. Street view. In the past I have always had a balcony it makes all the difference from an enjoyment point of view having over the pool. My experience in the past was the great balcony. I think the booking should have pointed out the limitations of the street view. Also there was a lot of noise from a next door neighbor < was in room 208

This is a very comfortable hotel in an excellent location near both the town, with its array of delicious retaurants, and the beach area with its lovely promenade. We had a lovely stay. There is on small but very important feature which we haven't encountered before - a disposable non-slip mat for the bath. A great safety feature for all those who love showers.

An extractor fan for the bathroom would be most useful when bathing or showering.

A good location to walk around close to the beach. Have nice sight of the Guadalquivir. I couldn't visit the pool, but seems to be confortable. The service were very nice and helpful every time i needed them.

My room was oriented to the backyard, a parking lot and was oriented completely to the sun, maybe could have tinted windows to avoid the extra hot and be able to watch outside despite the views.

Very comfortable room and mattress. Buffet breakfast was excellent with great choice to suit all tastes. Lots of fresh fruit, selection of cereals, yoghurts, cooked breakfast with large selection, fruit juices, nice breads etc... Lovely to have use of swimming pool or one minute from beach as alternative. Close to excellent restaurants by beach or tapas bars in the back streets also with excellent food but a cheaper option.

Amazing hotel and staff! Special thanks to one of the receptionists (can’t remember her name unfortunately) and Paco who kindly helped us when someone had backed into our car which had made the number plate to come off. They sent us to get on with our day and had re-attached the number plate onto the car when we got back later in the day! Thank you again for your help and service. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Sanlucar de Barrameda.

Good location; the room was comfortable (I'm assuming the lack of tea/coffee making facilities, drinks/snacks in the fridge, and the absence of any printed information leaflets is because of covid). The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful, cheerful.

Although the buffet meals offered a fair choice a bit more variety would have been nice - and the 'hot' food was very often just barely warm. Although the room was very clean both bedside tables had cigarette burns on them - NOT the fault of the cleaners who were incredibly thorough.

Both room and bathroom were extremely clean and well sized. We got a good price mid week so it was value for money, but it can become overly priced at other times.

Our room was situated in a corner and was fairly quiet but we could hear people talking outside in the street. Our friend’s room gave to a busy road and they found the noise bothersome.

The hotel is in a great location next to the beach and within easy reach of the main square. The swimming pool is perfect and spotlessly clean. Excellent staff - very helpful. Great breakfasts as well - value for money and a wide range of fresh food.

We chose a 'room with terrace' which was huge. There was a table an chairs but a couple of sunbeds would have been a bonus.

The hotel was sparkling clean. The room had a balcony with a view to the swimming pool. Power pressure shower. Could get really hot water if you wanted to. The barman was friendly and we loved the G&T's

The staff at reception were well mannered but somehow performed their job mechanically. The didn't seem happy to work there. You get the impression you ate dealing with civil servants rather than customer service focused people.
