Ana, the receptionist and "go to" for all things was an exceptional ambassador, could not be more informative or helpful. One of the best staff I have met at any resort.

Fro me the pillows need having a look at, the ones I had were very flimsy & lumpy. Also we were in Appt A2 which is on the end looking over the roof of Bailys which is the snack bar which wasn’t the pool view I’d asked for as Bailys obscured it but the sunrise from the balcony was wonderful. The negative for me was the road along the side, it’s quite busy but to be honest was quiet at night so we were able to sleep with out window open but not on the days the Bin men came as there are the large bins outside the property on the road. Not a biggie, I just don’t like road noise when I’m away.

very clean comfortable apartments, very nice pool and hot tub area. staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. right across from a lovely beach. very quiet location and pub on resort closed at 12 to ensure quietness for residents

resort is approx a 30 minute walk away from the main strip, but is easily accessed through public transport or taxis which is also very cheap and affordable if you didn’t like to walk. had to book sunloungers at pool everyday, sometimes hard to get a spot, but it is understandable due to covid 19.

What can I say from start to finish out stay at Club del Carmen was outstanding. It was first time to book a hoilday directly without using a travel agent and after reading reviews I decided to book Club del Carmen and it certainly didn't let us down. Roughly 6 minutes from the airport. 15 minutes walk to the centre of the stip no hills. The on site restaurant was second to none. The most friendly staff ever. The complex was clean and safe and I would highly recommend it. I will certainly be back.

Absolutely nothing

Baily bar is the nicest friendliest bar we have ever visited . Ghali and his team are just amazing and go above and beyond. Accommodation is first class and wouldn’t stay anywhere else .

The apartment was so clean. Perfect. Spacious enough. Good shower. Great utensils etc in the kitchen. A lovely big balcony. The staff were all amazing, from reception to restaurant. They were all so lovely and helpful. They have a WhatsApp set up so you can ask questions etc via WhatsApp so no need to wait at reception. I even booked our trip to timanfaya National park with them through WhatsApp. The pools and jacuzzi are great. A good system in place for loungers. Floaties only allowed at certain times but this is good for the comfort of others. The restaurant was lovely. Great staff and tasty good quality food. Happy hour twice a day!! The kids loved the movie night.

The air conditioning wasn't working properly for the first while and even when it was working it was only okay but it was very hot when we were there so that might not help things.

The hotel was fantastic and the staff could Not do more for us. Facilities were excellent and location was ideal.

My only issue was the limited time children coukd use toys ( balls etc) in the pool. When we first got there the children were allowed to play with them and then suddenly they were only allowed for 2 separate hours per day. It was very inconsistent. This really reduced the enjoyment that my son got out of using the pool as it became boring for him. To me, when you book a family hotel you expect children playing happily and, when they were, they were not harming anyone so i fail to understand the reasoning behind this decision.

Great location. Opposite the beach. Few minutes walk into Playa del Carmen where there are a lot of restaurants and shops all the way down the beachfront. Nice hotel rooms. Pool wasn't cold but not warm either. Great to have a filtered water tap! One of the best features really so you don't have to lug lots of bottled water around. Comfortable apartment for a family and a sunny balcony.

Hardly any bins around the complex. Could hear the neighbors - insulation of the apartments is not very good. Should clearly state that the hot tub is only available for over 16s as my kids (13,10 and 8) were disappointed not to be able to use it. To be honest, when its not busy and they're not in nappies, I can't see why kids can't be allowed to use it.

The restaurant on-site was fantastic, the food was lovely and well priced. The staff were excellent especially Ghali who was always so friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond. The pool was lovely and well supervised by a daily life guard.

Check in took so long on arrival. There were some rules that were necessary but some that were not. They are very strict about keeping to the rules. Everything closes at 11 o’clock which is fine. Unfortunately the room only gets cleaned on day eight of your stay due to Covid which is very disappointing. Sleeping in the same sheets for a week is not satisfactory.

A relatively small and cozy hotel located close to the beach. Our appartement was comfortable for a family with a toddler and 2 bigger kids. Our toddler slept in a baby bed in our room, thus we didn't use the sleeping couch in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped. There was some coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. Also 2 dishwasher tablets (we could buy more at the reception for 50 cents each). The swimming pool was mostly empty as others guests enjoyed sunbathing more than swimming. We got sunbeds without reservation whenever we wanted. Our kids liked the playcorner outside, small but yet nice. The hotel complex was quiet and neat. The hotel bar had a good choice of food for a very reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay!

The swimming pool rules aren't friendly for families with children. The floatables are allowed only between 11-12 and 16-17, outside of these hours the kids could swim but when they started splashing water the guard told them they can't play. They weren't allowed to use jacuzzi even if we were the only ones using the pool (it was pretty cold). In general there were mainly older people, almost no families which probably made the hotel so quiet :)
