Parador de Mazagón

Good location looking out to sea. Excellent pool and surrounding gardens. Pleasant poolside bar for drinks and snacks. Good bed and bathroom facilities. Very clean.

Problem with the drains, so bad smell not just in our room but in corridor outside. Dinner a little disappointing: beef fillet not very tasty and chips were undercooked. Duck a bit tough. Beefburger, I thought, was bought in. Previously we have not had to pay for parking. Probably because the Parador is miles from anywhere and there's lots of space. I don't mind paying in city paradores where space is scarce and the car has to be garaged. I suggest if the Parador needs to boost its income (which is fair enough) a better solution would be to increase the room prices: charging for parking in the middle of the country at Mazagón seems a petty way of going about it.

The location as well as the facility as a whole with the extensive park with direct access over the cliffs to the beach, the large rooms. Parts of the hotel especially the bar and the restaurant were recently renovated, which in total contributed to a very nice appearance. The whole hotel fits excellently into the landscape.

The only thing we have to criticize is the not always attentive service in the bar or bistro, as well as the fact that our room terrace was very dirty and unfortunately not cleaned during room service. Otherwise, we would have given a 10 for the rating.

Having traveled to different places in Spain, the beaches at the Costa de La Luz and especially these of the Parador or exceptional. The beaches, dunes and nature park which are surrounding the Parador can’t be compared to other places in Spain. The Parador is uniquely located for a relaxing and nature admiring stay. It is at 8 and 10 km of an adjacent village. With bikes and horses you can discover the surroundings. Although not at all designy, the Parador offers spacious rooms and bathrooms, inside and outside pool, and a beautiful garden with views over the sea.

There’s really nothing to mention I didn’t like.

staff were lovely - very helpful and patient with our poor Spanish! the food in both the bar and restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, as is the local wine. the room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. the beach is amazing.

The exceptional location on the beach, the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. Rooms are good but nothing special. There is a bar where you can eat at any time of the day. The restaurant serves good food. Breakfast is not cheap, but there is a lot of choice.

The restaurant works on shifts, so you have to eat quickly before the next shift of guests arrives at the restaurant.

Fantastic, on the longest beach you can find, view from the sun terrace was stunning. Overall ambiance of the place was relaxing, casual , just comforting. Overall could not fault it.

The location, overlooking the cliff and the Atlantic is formidable. Easy steps down to a wide sandy beach with thosands of seashells. The grounds with lawns, pines and palm trees

Costs for half pension are steep Dinner is ok but dishes at private restaurants are often better

We loved this hotel - the location at the edge of the national park and right on the beach is wonderful. The views were amazing, the air so fresh from the ocean and trees.

The vegetarian offering could be improved, the menus could be updated. the food we did have was really delicious so more that we could try next time would be great

location and pool

it would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. the restaurant was lovely, but some of the portions could have been smaller and more flavoursome.
