Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana

Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again. Room, facilities and staff were all great. Good selection available at breakfast, room very comfortable (with very efficient blackout curtains!) and the rooftop pool/bar is a fantastic perk - the perfect way to end a long day at work!

There didn't seem to be enough lifts at the hotel which often led to long waits. Room could do with hanging space for longer items, all of my work dresses were too long for the short rail, leaving them creased. Pool and pool bar closes early at 8pm which given the heat could've done with being later.

The receptionist was very helpful fixing a mistake I had made with wrong dates on my (non-refundable) booking. The manager accepted the change with no extra charge. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Metro station and the Bernabeu Stadion. It is a bit tricky to find the right path through the high rise buildings. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful from a buffet. We did not use the roof-top pool with great views over the surroundings, but we could have enjoyed it. It is certainly a gem.

The entrance to the hotel was tricky to navigate to from the Metro through the underground pathways and high-rise buildings of the modern development. Signs could help here.

The hotel is superb, really nice staff and facilities. The gym is well equipped, the pool is decent size and has good structure, with an amazing view of the city. The rooms are great, super comfy and good dimensions, they have all you need there, and great shower. The staff is super courteous, they allowed me to early check-in without issues and they gave me some transportation tips. Everything I needed to ask or solve was done in minutes. Also, the restaurant is great if you're ok with the price (definitely higher than Madrid prices). Location is nice depending on what you want, you have some good restaurants nearby and santiago bernabeu is just in the corner.

Location is good for some things, but also quite far away from Madrid center and night life. Not a big deal, but you might consider that if you're in a short trip.

Absolutely recommend this hotel as everything was perfect during our stay! The hotel personel was very kind and much helpful, from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. We also arrived unnannounced three hours prior to our check-in as we simply wanted to drop our luggage before taking a walk in the city, but the staff informed us that we could already proceed to the registration and access our room with no extra charge as the room was already prepared for us. What an amazing service and great help! In addition to that, the room was highly comfortable and clean, all necessary amenities were there, the pool/terrace were remarkable, and the hotel was well located as close to different metro stations. We will 100% stay there again for our next holidays in Madrid!

Great hotel. Staff were really nice and friendly throughout the hotel. Made to feel very welcome, this is always the most important thing for me as it makes the world of difference to your stay. Building is a bit brutal looking on the outside but inside it is very modern and stylish. Room was excellent, decent size, big comfy bed and nice shower (king room with city view on the 8th floor). The rooftop pool with cabanas and also the terrace bar were superb. Enjoyed the breakfast, decent selection. I would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay there again the next time I'm in Madrid.

Rooftop pool was really nice and quite during weekdays - weekend was a lot busier. Small bar by the pool a nice bonus! Clean hotel with a helpful staff. Rooms were decent size and the beds comfy. The water machine in the hallway and the refill bottle in the room were excellent - no need to carry water from a shop. Breakfast was good with gluten free options as well. The hotel is located in the business area, but only few metro stops away from the main street Gran Vía. The closest station to the hotel is Santiago Bernabeu, but also Nuevos Ministerios is close by. Great hotel, would come again!

This isn't exactly the hotel's fault, but other guests by the pool could have been a bit more considerable towards other sunbathers... Might come as a surprise, but people in general doesn't speak that much English in Madrid. Fortunately we were able to communicate also in Spanish. This does not apply to the hotel, where everyone spoke excellent English!

This is a stunning hotel, as soon as you walk in through the sliding entrance doors you are met with the most divine smell and the general décor throughout is ultra modern and sleek. There really is very little to dislike about this Hotel.

Now this is only really a small gripe but none the less here goes. The bar shuts way too early for Madrid, some friends and I wanted to get a drink after going out for dinner and the bar was closed at 11:30. This is too early and most other Hotels I have stayed in are at least open until midnight.

Pool was excellent especially in the hot summer months. Staff really friendly. Cannot fault for cleanliness. Really liked the natural shampoos and soaps in the bathroom. Drinks in the bar downstairs were great and so was service. Overall really enjoyed our stay here.

Air conditioning in the room didn’t work properly. Pool area not opened until 11 AM - they could open the area but section off the pool so guests can access the rooftop. Also the pool bar only sold beer, wine and soft drinks. Why not a full bar or make it able to bring drinks from the bar? Location not great for anything except for stadium Bernabeu but was our own fault for not looking further into it really. Metro station not far away but not amazing selection of bars / restaurants in the area.

We stayed at the hotel for two days and two nights while attending the Mad cool festival. The prices were skyrocketing because of that I suppose. The hotel is very comfortable and we had a great stay. However we were disappointed to find out that their terrace pool shuts down at 8pm. That’s way too earlu for a summer evening..: also the hotel is like 15 mins from city centre however we were okay with that… the bar at the hotel is nice and overall we liked our stay here. Also it’s very close to Santiago Bernabéu and a lot of shopping and eating places are next door.

The terrace pool is only open from 11 am to 8pm.
