Occidental Granada

The hotel location is convenient to walk to touristic attractions, and located in a quiet neighborhood, which helps you to take a good sleep. There is parking under the same building, additional cost per night, and it has direct access to hotel with same elevator. First morning we visited Al Hambra, preferred to take a taxi from hotel as I don't want to walk and climb, which costs 7.7 euro. But if you prefer walking, that's fine as well. On the way back we walked to hotel, which is not really far from the center. We stayed 2 nights as couple. The room was big enough and was very quiet, and super clean. The shower was one of the best hotel shower I've experienced. There is also a steam had iron in the room. But I think they forgot to put toiletries, there were nothing in the bathroom. The staff was kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for your stays in Granada.

The location of this hotel is ideal. It's in a quiet residential neighbourhood with mainly local families and business folks walking around. It's a 10min walk through residential streets to the centre of town. Some reviews on here complain about it but people are lazy! 10 mins to be in a quiet neighbourhood is not a bad thing. Just put your trainers on and walk and make the most of seeing the local surroundings. Lots of places to eat and drink next door and en route to the old town. Shops galore especially local fruiterers and specialist shops. It was a real cultural experience. This hotel is easily reached by tram from the train station. The sound proofing is excellent as it's an old style hotel with solid doors and walls. The beds were very comfy and it was luxury for the kids to have single beds to sleep on rather than a sofa bed in a family room! You can order different pillow types from the reception which was useful. Staff we helpful too explaining how to get to places. Quick lifts to the 6 floors. Sanitiser available. Vanity sets in the bathroom which is useful if you have forgotten your toothbursh, comb and toothpaste!

There was no tea / coffee making facility in the rooms. If you wanted a hot wake up drink you have to go to the lobby and pay 1.50 Euros which I do not think is right. There should be a kettle and tea / coffee provided in the room or for free in the lobby. The breakfast was a bit expensive. They were going to charge my daughter the same as an adult to eat breakfast and she is 12 years old. That was not appropriate.

Very comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast with gluten-free products. City center can be reached in a short time. We had a problem before leaving and the staff was very kind and ready to help us to find solutions, we very appreciated. In future cases, Occidental Granada will be our choice!

The restaurant and bistro were both closed for holidays on the same period. We normally choose hotels also based on the presence of restaurants due to celiac disease. We were a bit unlucky, but anyway we are very satisfied with our stay!

The room was a good size, with a nice bathroom. Big comfortable double bed. It's a very clean hotel and the staff efficient and friendly. We were able to park our motorcycle in the underground garage.

It's a good 40 minutes walk (depending how fast you are) to the main tourist attractions. Parking in the underground car park is expensive for a motorcycle (18 euro). We would have liked to have had some refreshment from the bar after a very long (and hot) ride, but the bar and the restaurant were closed until 8pm. Even the mini bar in the room was empty. We had no option but to go for a walk to find somewhere nearby for a drink and some food. The room TV only had a handful of Spanish channels and a couple of German ones. We didn't appreciate being woken late at night and then again early in the morning by people having loud conversations virtually outside our room door.

Amazing kingsize bed, with comfortbale mattress, Quite rooms, view on the mountains with snow, very helpful and nice stuff...loved the breakfast...and the music in the restaurant...We will definately be coming back...if you are coming with a car: good connection to highway, while the historical city center is 10 minutes easy walk....Great and large garage with doors of steel on the entrance, not to fear for the car....

The room is spacious, quite and very comfortable. The hotel on general is very clean and specifically the room was also. The hotel has 3 elevators and the waiting time for it was always short. The city center and all the amenities are within walking distance from the hotel.

We liked it all.

The room was large and comfortable but felt a little bare. The hotel was fine and the staff were generally helpful. It was very clean with a great shower and bath. There was nothing to dislike about the hotel and they served an extensive breakfast.

We would have liked a lounge area to sit. There are only a few seats in the lobby. For us it would have been better to be a little closer to the centre of the city. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral area . However, we took taxis which were cheap and easy to get.

I like the location, room cleanes reception staff very friendly and coprative, value for money. Highly recommended.

Tried restaurant ones did like the menu. Gent staff in restaurant wasn't very polite and helpful. I did try to use room service the restaurant staff asking for €10 on top of my order for room service which I have never heard of I was bit disappointed on that and never used restaurant again .

The location is close to tourist places and markets.

Good, clean hotel close to the city center. Amazing bed!!!

The hotel is a little older, I don't mean this as a point of criticism, for the price you are paying it was excellent. Just mentioning it. You do need to walk 10 or so minutes to get in the center. We walked to the Alhambra for our visit, but it does take 30 or so minutes.
