Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo

The hotel is in the best location, practically on the other side of the road, the beach is within 100m. Train station 5 minutes away. supermarket and a pharmacy is also 2 minutes away. The staff is especially nice and helpful, it was a great experience to stay here. The family room is actually two connected rooms, which was perfect with small children. We really liked the breakfast, everyone found their favorite.

The hotel is modern on the outside, but a bit older on the inside, as you can see in the photos. Since the bed's mattress is springy, if one of us turns over at night, the other one wakes up to find it undulating, which is not so pleasant. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, although the tiles around the tub and faucet were unfortunately moldy. Since my son is allergic to it, it was inconvenient for us.

The breakfast was excellent, very diverse, with a multitude of fruits, vegetables, dairy products and sausages. The serving time is very extended, until 11.00 every day, creating a great flexibility in planning the morning schedule. The location of the hotel is very good, being 15 minutes from the airport (taxi 30 Euros) and having 3 minutes from the beach, 1 minute from bus stop 94 (direct connection with Barcelona, the trip to Espana Square in the center of Barcelona takes 40 minutes), 1 minute from Sorli supermarket. The hotel staff is very kind, being open, kind and interacting with the tourists in the hotel only in cases when their help is requested. They wanted to ensure openness and a pleasant stay without disturbing or imposing severe disciplinary measures. The pool is very clean, being cleaned every 2-3 days. The rooms are spacious, most of them have a terrace for smokers, and a view of the beach and the main street.

Everything was perfect.

The room had excellent facilities and there was a door between the bathroom and bedroom where the closet is. This was a small and excellent detail - the L shaped desk made the room functional for packing and eating. Majority of the staff were full of life and really lovely with my little boy.

The restaurant didnt open until 7:30pm which is super late as I wanted to eat with my little boy. The waiter was excellent but even the wine list was low on stock and everything took time to provide Room was too dark - plenty of lights but all really dull which made it more challenging to pack in the early hours of the morning. Also breakfast start is at 7am only on weekdays and 7:30 weekends

Service, location, breakfast and breakfast area

We chose this hotel as it had a swimming pool and pool area. We live in Barcelona and wanted a change of scene for 24 hours. However, because the hotel was hosting a wedding, we were dissuaded from using the pool area when we checked in. The space usually available for residents and round the pool with sun beds was taken up with wedding organisation and the wedding party. It’s would have nice to know this in advance and we’d probably have chosen another hotel. In saying that, there were positive things about the hotel - staff, breakfast and breakfast terrace and location.

The hotel is located close to the sea (about 100 meters), the railway station to the center of Barcelona is 500 meters away. There is a supermarket nearby. Staff was kind and always helpful. Good swimming pool. Beach towels at the hotel are free. Spacious balcony. Clean. Good internet connection. There was a wide selection for breakfast. We had adjacent, interconnected rooms, which was convenient. The beds satisfied us.

It would seem that there were no English-language TV channels.

Quiet street a block away from the beach and not more than half an hour from Barcelona BCN airport. Bright rooms with balconies and all expected amenities including a coffee maker, refrigerator and safe. Helpful, English-speaking staff. Spacious underground parking although you could probably find street parking in the area as well. Excellent breakfast buffet with many choices of cold cuts, cheeses and pastries,

Capricious wi-fi.

The hotel is in a prime position in the town just a short walk from the beach and local shops and restaurants. The room had a balcony which we used in the evenings. The bathroom was modern, large and spacious with a walk in shower as requested. A lovely, comprehensive buffet breakfast was served each morning, even for our early departure on the last day. Our half board meals were served on the restaurant terrace.

Two single made up beds pushed together do not, in our view, constitute the King which is what we booked. Whilst the room was great at first glance the chrome and glass fittings and the grouting in the shower need a really good clean and polish. The uninviting bar area, whilst having street access looked and probably was closed to the general public.

Great location, across from the beach and a supermarket and many restaurants. The staff were super friendly and amazing. Breakfast was quite good but could have used more fresh fruits. Rooms were spacious with mini fridge and kettle.

Rooms are very much dated and the air con did not work at all. Maybe because it is off season?

Breakfast & dinner were good. Staff very nice and helpful. Beach is very close less than 3mins. Train station within 5 mins. Cool environment. Love eating dinner outside within hotel premises and breakfast.

Rooms need more polishing to be made a bit brighter and more modern to be more like a 4* Bright & modern artwork required on hallway. Overall still rated as 8. Would come back there again.

I absolutely LOVED this hotel! We stayed in Barcelona during the F1 race, so all hotels within the city were insanely expensive. We decided to stay in Castelldefels instead which was insanely nice and such a good idea! It was so clean and comfortable, plus the train station that gets you into Barcelona is not far at all! It is also right near the beach - so lovely. I’d highly recommend.
