MAMA Guesthouse Haeundae

Location was really good - few mins walk to Haeundae Beach. Nearest metro is Haeundae Station. Next to Haeundae Traditional Market, where you'll find street food, seafood eateries and shops selling fresh produce. We recommend the OPS Bakery just across the row of shops opposite MAMA.

MAMA Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay in Busan. Located close (walking distance) to the beach, traditional market, metro and Haeundae Intercity bus station. It's next door to a milmyeon restaurant - we highly recommend it! Plenty of other coffee shops and restaurants around as well. Staff was friendly and let us check in early. It was also possible to leave luggage with them after check out. Our room was well furnished and matched the pictures perfectly. Wifi connection was strong. For those who need it, there's a self-service laundromat nearby.

This place is more like a hotel than a guesthouse.. very clean and tidy.. The beach is just a stone-throw away.. also very near to bus stop, subway station, cafe, restaurant and market.. No breakfast provided but next door is a cute little bakery with delicious doughnuts that available from 7 in the morning.. Laundry was provided for a fee, a bit more than laundromat fee, but still very reasonable.. beats the time wasted waiting on the laundromat.. Steven, the host, speaks good english and very nice and helpful.. Overall an enjoyable stay.

It’s not about the guesthouse, but next door shop playing the same song in loops for days.. I like Eddy Kim as much as other people.. but for 6 straight days? it can be grating.. fortunately if you closed both layers of the window, it can barely heard.

Great location! The hotel is located right beside the market. You can walk to the beach. The hotel might be slightly far from airport but the taxi fare is not that overly expensive. 26700 won for a single trip from hotel. Nearest bus stop is just 13m away from the hotel, and you can take bus no. 100 to the famous Haedong Yunggungsa Temple, Luge, and Lotte Mall. Steven is a good owner with fluent English speaking, he allowed me to early check in right after my arrival. He explained everything briefly with patience. The hotel is also providing free water refill at the water dispenser and there’s a big space for you to wash your stuffs and having your meal. Room is clean and spacious. You can literally open 3 luggages on the floor. Toilet is clean and inside have body shampoo and hair wash. Towel is provided as well. Bed is comfortable. No noise at night. I’ll stay back this hotel next time for sure!

Nothing. Everything is just so good.

The property is clean, new & proper. The check in’s a breeze & the room’s operated like a hotel with a card slot in for power. The location’s superb, super near from all the eateries, street food, daiso, metro station & shopping outlet. I practically walk everywhere & even to the blue park capsule train station while I was there. And the lounge’s spacious for me to work during day time. The room’s clean & the furnitures are just the right size, placed at the right spots. Good design planning! bed’s a little hard but clean. I really enjoyed my stay there.

The guesthouse’s located at 2nd floor with no elevator, so a little challenging when you’re with luggage (but Steven the owner helped me which I’m super thankful for). At night there’d be cigarette smell so do keep the windows closed.

The location is just next to the Haeundae market and there are a lot of tourists. It's also near the haeundae market bus stop. The room is pretty convenience and clean. I got a room on the 3rd floor. The room on the 3rd floor was quite new. It's also a bit quiet.

There was no elevator or escalator so it was a bit nuisance to bring my baggage all the way to the 3rd floor. Because the room was new, the television on the 3rd floor has not been installed yet at the moment I arrived. The floor was not warm, so we can only depend on air conditioner in fall or winter.

Cleanliness, I’m a stickler for clean accommodation and MAMA guesthouse fits the bill. I would rate the cleanliness to be 10/10. The location is perfect, 5 mins from the beach and Steven is one excellent host! He’s kind and was helping and guiding me throughout my stay.

STEVEN! Guys, if you’re contemplating whether to stay here or not, I’d say just do it! You’re in a perfect location with a perfect host. Now I’ve read review where’s there’s difficulty adjusting the shower temperature, here’s a tip, once you shifted the valve to the hot water side, wait first, it gets real hot, then move it to the cold water side for a second and then move back to the hot water. It works like a charm.

We stayed at this guesthouse 3 times in one month (8 nights in total) and we highly recommend it as it's a very good value for money. You will get a clean comfortable room, lounge area with a little kitchen (toaster, microwave, cold and hot water, tea provided) and a very friendly as well as helpful service. We could also leave our big luggages free of charge when we were away for 3 nights in Geoje island. Lastly, this guesthouse has a bus stop right in front of it and a metro station 8 min away by foot.

Pillows could be better, softer

Easy check-in, close to the city center, pretty comfortable beds, well-planned bedroom area.

- The water current's temperature at the shower is suuuper unstable, one second you have burning hot water, and the other - it's freezing cold. I wanted to take a quick shower, which lasted more than 20 minutes, because of that. I was waiting more than half of the time for the water to get warmer, and then it used to just burn out of nowhere. - The smell in the lounge because of all the open bags to throw trash (including the ones from the bathroom). - The bathroom was very much not suited for it's use. The doors were already peeling because of the water.

Hello. Amazing host. Check-in at GuestHouse was until 22:00, my friends and I were driving from Seoul. We didn't arrive in Pusan until 11:30pm. Our host welcomed and accommodated us. Thank you so much for your kind heart. The host is very kind, attentive and helpful. Guesthouse is very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient. Close to the market and close to Haeundae Beach, also within walking distance of the subway. I recommend Mama Guesthouse to everyone.
