Hotel Splendid 1900

Very nice, cosy and clean. Excellent location on the walking zone of the city center. Great breakfast with very nice stuff in the restaurant. We went with our baby and asked for bigger room then the one which was booked and the receptionist reacted immediately and changed our room.

I would recommend to the stuff not to charge people for baby bed. In our reservation the additional charge was mentioned for additional bed but not for baby bed. Anyway we were charged additional about 10€ per night for our 2 years old baby. You have to do something about the canalisation smell in the bathroom.

The Parking is far too expensive.

Located in the old town of Craiova the hotel is very clean, comfortable rooms, great buffet breakfast.

Downside of the great location is noise from the busy street, unfortunately the hotel isn’t noise proof and their paid parking is in a private parking with barrier for which we didn’t have a remote so we needed to call and wait for the hotel staff to open it each time we wanted to leave. Not ideal for 60 RON a night parking.

Located as central as it gets, dough no parking spot availble, there are options around on the street with 0.5 eur/ hour or in a large underground parking nearby. Everything was clean, and it had all that you could possibly need for the stay. Quite a large bathroom too. Continental breakfast with a lot of options - different types of cheese, eggs, meats, sweets.

Have stayed at this hotel twice for the past two months . The staff is always extra nice and helpful. Told the receptionist that I will go and have a nap as I didn’t get the chance to sleep much the night before and few hours later after waking up the lovely receptionist has brought me some sweet snacks mentioning that they thought something sweet would be great after my nap 😴 They are always thoughtful and wanting the best for their clients .

Comfortable, clean, very helpful staff, nice amenities, temperature control was lovely, adequate breakfast.

Bedsheets had small stains, were too small for the bed, you need to specifically ask for a quiet room-rooms on the street are unbearably loud during the weekend.

Great location, very nice room. Breakfast not very varied but enough for us.

Could be cleaner, especially in the lobby area, the carpet has seen better days. Toiletries mix, from individually wrapped tooth brushes to empty soap dispenser and half full one person shower gel. Coffee not great.

The room decoration and the room itself was very good. Also very clean. The hotel itself and the breakfast was well above other 4 star hotels that i stayed in.

A bit noisy (music) around the hotel but it's something normal if you want to be close to everything. So this is not something negative, but is something to consider.

Lovely rooms and ambiance, very comfortable bed, bathroom had a bathtub. Lovely breakfast with a variety of higher-end snacks

The street was a bit noisy with motorcycles revving their engines but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. It quieted down after 11 PM

The location.

The first room they gave me was exactly near the reception, it smelled like something rotten and the noice from downstairs in the night was enough to make me want to change rooms. Fortunately, they had another room available and the receptionist was very kind about it.
