Hotel Capitolina City Chic

The hotel is very close to the city center and you can walk to any major sightseeing spot. The city center has a lot of things to visit and it's both romantic, poetic and good for walking. The city center also has some very fine restaurants and the variety of food caters for all tastes. The hotel is extremely clean, towels were changed daily in our case, the personnel - both the guy serving the breakfast and the ladies from the reception were fantastic, very friendly, polite and definitely customer-oriented. The room has everything one would need, the bed was very comfortable and the toilet is super clean. Hot water at any point in time of the day without issues (the water pressure could be higher, but this is not the fault of the hotel, but of the city's own water systems). The breakfast was very good and tasty as well, it had almost everything one could wish in the morning. We had a wonderful time.

The room was large, spotless and comfortable. Super bed. Breakfast was exceptional - a surprising and changing range of items considering it is a small hotel. Staff were exemplary - special mention to Claudia and Ciprian but all were friendly and helpful. Location was ideal, 100m into edge of old town, cafes, restaurants and beautiful architecture.

Shower/bath design in our room could have been better. Volume of water ran onto the floor no matter how one showered. And over-bath shower would feel more safe with a shower mat to avoid slipping.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and cosy. The bed was more comfortable than expected and breakfast was diverse and tasty. I also appreciated the staff, always smiling and there to assist you. What I really loved though was the location, a very short walking distance from the city centre. The free parking, while 2-3 min away, was also really appreciated, being in an area where street parking is not really an option.

The view from the room and the hotel is not the best, but this aspect was definitely compensated by all the other good things this property has to offer.

The breakfast was lovely, great variety, great food, very satisfied. However the breakfast hall is a bit small. They provide a parking space behind the hotel and the hotel staff helped me find it and bring our luggage. The room was sufficient enough for me and my son (9 years old). The minibar is full of goods and they are all reasonably priced.

The noise at the corridor, the man staying next door talking on the phone with a very loud voice. Disrespectful selfish people are everywhere. Bottom line is the walls are quite thin, so you may have the luck of the draw like us. No big deal, I used my earplugs.

- as presented on hotel's site, it,s like a 15 minutes far from city center, on a small hill - the hotel has a free parking lot not far from it - enough options for breakfast - the lady in the reception was very helpful and kind, with a lot of suggestions for food and attractions - the room was very cozy, spotless clean, nice designed - good bed and comfortable pillows

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Capitolina City Chic. The location was good for our trip into Transylvania from Budapest, and on to Sighisoara. Parking was easily accessed and only a short walk. Our checking receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely buffet, with attentive staff. No hesitation recommending this stay in Cluj Napoca.

Nothing we didn't like!

The deluxe double room we've stayed was spacious and very nice, bathroom is great, especially warmed floor. Location is very good, 5-10 minutes walk to the old city, (though street where hotel is located is quite inclined which can be an issue if you have physical limitations, also hotel entrance requires climbing like 5 stairs will be problematic for a wheelchair), hotel reception staff is very nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was great. Room cleaning was satisfactory. Early 3.a.m. checkout was smooth and we were provided very nice lunch box. In overall hotel is very good value for money.

Bed pillows are not high quality and the blanket will quite narrow for big people.

it was already available, and I was let in even before check in time, as I was really tired of long trip. so I was happy for that. Room is clean, have small balcony, very comfortable place. staff - amazing, all speaks Eng, location very close to everything, did not take taxi or bus a t all to get to old city center and walk around.

i can’t remember. maybe only one unknown thing was for me, how to make coffee for breakfast, but there is always a guy inside who can help you to make it. do it was not a big issue for me.

Good location! Free parking! Nice staff! Chocolates at the front desk a nice touch.

Room could have been cleaner. Corner room in the front was noisy. Shower leaked water on the floor and was hard to get in and out of - especially for an older person. The hotel is located up a steep hill which could be a challenge for some.

A very nice hotel. Staff at the reception and at breakfast were friendly, service-minded, and helpful. We were given a quiet room as requested. There was a good variety of food for breakfast, and our food allergies were taken into account. Our room was in good condition. The hotel is quite close to the beautiful Botanical garden and a couple of restaurants and cafes, including the excellent Tokyo Japanese restaurant and the nice coffee place Victor. We would stay here again if we come to Cluj in the future.

The breakfast room is quite small and loud, and easily gets crowded. A few things could be improved at breakfast, like fresh 'bakery bread' and fresh made juices instead of the current more 'industrial' versions. Not in the very city center – expect a 10–20 minute walk, depending on where you want to go.
