A Muralha0

The location is at the heart of the city with easy access to the beach ferry and the wonderful beach. My wife and I attended Mass at a church very close to the hotel. It’s a great family destination and the ferry ride is nice with many variety of shore birds. Many young families at night enjoying the music and dancing.

The parking situation is a bit difficult and I move my car twice over three days. You can use a loaging zone to drop off luggage. Then move your car several blocks to the free parking

Very friendly and very welcoming, thanks to Andreia's incredible hospitality. I really liked this beautiful hotel and its wonderful location! It is close to the center of Tavira on the main street full of great shops and restaurants yet it is very peaceful. It is close to everything and the bus/train stations too. I also liked how Andreia catered to food intolerances/allergies and encouraged us to contact her ahead of time so that they could provide even better options and support. But they were already outstanding! The bath tub is also a nice surprise! I would definitely come to this hotel and town again. Superb!

My stay was too short!

I arrived late at night but was met with a warm and welcoming smile by one of the new owners, into a lovely traditional property that is ideally located in the centre of Tavira. The new owners are currently renovating the rooms but this was known only by speaking with the staff and not by any personal disruption at all. Their vision and plans for this property are exciting and innovative. There is a small terrace on the first floor that reveals some ruins of the castle wall. The property on the whole is kept extremely clean. My room had a memory foam bed & pillow that was THE most comfortable nights sleep. The vast selection of breakfast food was presented beautifully and delicious. This hotel building currently covers all the basic needs for a very pleasant stay, but is exceptional value for money due to the points I’ve made but ultimately, the friendliness of the staff was priceless. Thank you guys and I can’t wait to see you again and wishing you every success going forward.

There is nothing to complain about!

I enjoyed a relaxing week staying at this family run guesthouse and felt really at home. Started each day with a sumptuous breakfast that set me up for the day. My room was lovely and quiet and I had a little outdoor space to sit in too. Everything was clean and comfortable and the place is very conveniently located in the very centre, a couple of minutes from the impressive Roman bridge.

We cannot praise A Muralha highly enough- we loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room and the location were great. But the highlight was breakfast - every day there was a different fresh fruit juice, homemade jam and cake along with a selection of bread, cheese and cold meat - delicious! We would love to return to Tavira and A Muralha. Thank you

There was nothing we did not like.

….the hosts are exceptional…. incredibly helpful and accommodating…..they take the concept of customer service to an all new level……on a scale of 1 to 10….i rate my experience at an 11…..

We spent in Tavira only one night . The city centre is very nice as well as the hotel. We loved our accomodation, the bathroom and bedroom were massive ans very comfortable with nice balcony view. The staff is really helpful and the breakfast was amazing including plenty of local products.

Really central location. Breakfast was excellent. All staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a room at the back which was really quiet.

Hotel location is perfect as it is in the middle of the town in a very safe well lit area Clean Bed Rooms including Bathroom. Breakfast room was also tidy. Wi-Fi is Free. Upload\download speed is super fast ( tested daily 35Mbs both ways but note it may vary depending on where your room is located - mine was on the first floor) Shower water pressure was good Air Con in room was effective and ran quietly Staff were super friendly and very accommodating I personally loved the pillows as two of the four offered were firm Cant recall exact number but there were loads of hangers in the wardrobe

Not suited for families with push chairs Would of been great if the water jug in room was refilled or where we could go to refill it ourselves Hotel Staff leave 11pmish so you would need to clarify in advance if you can and how you would contact them after 11pm
