Josefa D`Obidos Hotel

We loved the room, as it was very spacious, comfortable and aesthetically looking. The staff was amazing! Everyone was helpful and friendly. There was a lot of available parking space and the hotel’s location is just perfect. It’s close to the Óbidos castle, many shops and restaurants.

The facilities weren’t adequate enough, as there was no pool or bar which made it not as fair considering the price. It was also missing some other facilities such as a gym and a spa.

The staff were very friendly, especially on reception and in the bar. We had 3 rooms, all were a good size. The beds were comfortable. Kettle for making tea provided which is nice. the location is fantastic and the atmosphere of the hotel very good.

The pillows were a little soft for me, however my family liked them, so may have just been mine. Our fridge was noisy, it did not worry us, we just unplugged it and plugged it back in the next day as we were only staying one night.

Everything. Even the TV had many English language options. The location is steps away from the bus stop and city gate so very convenient, even though it does not have the charm and romance of staying inside the town walls. The breakfast buffet is excellent in a country where a real breakfast is hard to find, and at a very reasonable price.

Water pressure is a little low, but I think normal for Portugal

Vanessa, the receptionist, went out of her way to help me get transportation to Aveiro. She was very patient and even walked me to my bus stop which is close to hotel. I'd give her 6 stars if I could!!!

Was a bit far from the lagoon but otherwise was in walking distance of major tourist spots.

Location, just a few paces outside the walls at the main entrance, means no issues with driving in or parking - its ideal. Their windows are tight so no traffic noise at night. Staff was incredibly helpful when I had an issue - left something behind and they express mailed it to my next stop - arrived next day - thank you!

Personal preference: hard bed (most were in Portugal). Breakfast was only average.

Very charming hotel, staff is really helpful. Room is big, good finishings, bed comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets provided. Small bath but actually perfect size to relax (in my opinion). the bar in the hotel is also welcoming and cozy, good choice of drinks and has a pool table! really close to the entrance to the walled village. Has a few parking spaces which can be used for free by the guests.

Excellent hotel and excellent location. Very close to the Obidos entrance. The lady at the reception was superb. Very good breakfast. Free parking very close to the hotel. The room had plenty of space. Good bathroom.

Didn't find. It was an excellent hotel.

Large suite. King size bed. Lots of bathroom counter space and good water pressure. Good location near farmers market and shops, restaurants

Location, amenities, great breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. The bus to Lisbon & Caldas de Rainha is 50 m away .

The double bed was a bit hard but spoke to Reception and they do have rooms with softer mattresses.

The location of the hotel within 100m of the city gate was great. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive, as well. The room was modernized and nicely decorated. The bed was wonderfully firm!

The lobby seemed a bit dated, it could have been brightened up a bit more.
