Grand Summit Hotel General Santos0

This is new hotel, fully meeting a 4-stars standard. The rooms are large and well designed, with large bathrooms, beds and in general very comfortable. Location is just next from Robinson Mall and at walking distance from rest of shopping area of General Santos. Good restaurant and bar. Excellent swimming pool. High standard of common facilities.

There are a few small design flaws in the building. One is noise insulation of the rooms, that is not adequate, particularly from outside noise, but also room-to-room. The water pressure in bathroom is a bit low. The ventilation system of the bathroom is not sufficient and for some reason the smell in the bathrooms is not pleasant. Not big issues, but the above aspects could had been better.

This hotel is a very nice and clean hotel. The rooms were very specious, The lobby, rooms, and facilities are that of a hotel that takes pride in where they work. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful, polite, and accommodating to requests. The location of this hotel is right next to a mini mall which is very convenient.

I'm pretty sure this was a one off, but during one of my stays one of the rooms that I was given had a very foul smell, I can't quite describe it, but it smelled as if the room had not been aired out for years. After I notified the staff, they came in, opened up all the windows and sprayed some air fresheners. The room smelled ok after about 30 minutes.

Beds are very comfortable Gym and pool access The manager-on-duty was very apologetic for the incident, & made up by writing an apology note & giving us some pastries. We thought it was a very kind gesture on his part.

When we checked-in & paid, we claimed for a senior discount. Upon processing our payment, they did not return our cards. Since it was an early check-in & our room was not ready yet, we grabbed lunch outside of the hotel. When we were about to pay for the lunch bill, we realized we didn't have our senior cards with us. Good thing we had a digital copy on our phones. In addition, they promised to notify us once the room was ready but never did. We waited until past 2pm, and just went back to the hotel.

I don't know if it is one of the best Hotels of GenSan... But it is one of the best Hotels i had in the Philippines'! Everything new, nearly everything on international standard. You can also stay on the breakfast if you are european/german, it is good enough to enjoy you some days. If You are American, British or Philippino, it might be the best breakfast you had for long times! Location is great, Rumors just opposite, Mall to the right, City close. Great cocktail's, don't miss their signature drinks!

Same like every facility in the philippines... they don't maintain their things. Shower sink was nearly blocked, so after 2 showers (couple) the water rinse to the bathroom. All areas in contact with water (Sink, Shower in the room, showers at the pool, lays in the pool...) are already heavy calcified... and the hotel is only fully opened for something like a year. But in general, everything ist clean, specially compared to other philippino places! Very silly on times of global warming: The whole building is black, so more heat in the city/pool and more electric bill.

In fact everything was nice and fine. It is very nice and new hotel. I recommend!

The price still seems a bit high if we count that this is a city hotel and not some beach resort on beautiful location. I would just suggest to staff to give a bit more effort with cleaning/polishing the bathroom - dont get me wrong - everything was really nice and clean - just due to it is really new hotel there you could notice some small marks of use (limescale) that is why i would just suggest to staff to put just a bit more effort to this small details to keep it so beautiful and new for as long as possible 😊

Comfy beds, clean room. Staff were courteous. Location is beside Robinsons mall. Great way to spend your free time checking out local brands at the said mall.

Breakfast was not that good. Very few selections. They should at least include one tuna dish during breakfast since it is located in General Santos. Also, we requested for a possible complimentary upgrade for one room since we booked 5 rooms, the receptionist gave us 1 upgraded room but to our surprise, we were charged with an upgrade fee.

Lovely motel, very nice and modern decor. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Room was very comfortable with nice beds, good air con and handy USB outlets. Breakfast buffet had a great selection.

Restaurant could be very slow. 15 minutes wait for 2 coffees and no one else was there. Next day tried to order coffee but was told they need check with the manager. Apparently there was an unposted event on. A lot of staff in restaurant but not sure what they did.

I like the amenities especially the pool that is good for kids. The comfort was great because of the spacious rooms and ultra clean linens and extra soft pillows. Bathroom was perfect.

The promptness and attentiveness of the staff. Waited for an hour for pitcher of water and another for an extra pair of hotel slippers. Waited for more than 30minutes for the check out. When i did a follow up, the front desk told me that the room was already cleared and they forgot to tell me.

service is good, check in and chec out were fast enough. Internet speed is ok. Pool is neat and overall facilities are clean.I have not tried the gym but since they have some free weight and many machines that should be more than needed for the vast majotiry of clients. We also eat for supper at the restaurant, it was very good.

Excellent rooms, comfortable bed. Very nicely furnished throughout the hotel. Nice pool, long enough for exercise too. Satisfactory gym. Good air conditioning that isn't loud.

Stairs are for emergency use only so expect to wait for lifts that are often busy. Bed duvets a little too thick/hot.
