Clarion Collection Hotel Hammer

The staff was nice and welcoming. The room was functional and clean. We were offered a nice selection for breakfast and dinner (you can book the room with a dinner option which is interesting regarding the prices for food and restaurants in Norway in general). The lounge space is very nice and the possibility to have - for free - tea/coffee with even some cake around 5pm was greatly appreciated. The hotel is located in the city center of Lillehammer, in walking distance of the main tourist spots. I would recommend a stay at the Clarion Hotel.

If you arrive by car, parking can be a bit tricky. We found a spot further up the road.

The friendly staff helped us with easy access via bus to the many xc skiing venues in and around Lillihammer. Complimentary breakfast had pretty much anything one could want for breakfast as well as lunch materials and fresh fruit. The complimentary dinner included soup, various salads and a main entre (some more tasty than others). The sauna was large, looked new and was clean!

One in our party was allergic to milk, which seemed to be in most of the complimentary dinner items. The chef did go out of his way to prepare a non-milk entre on request.

Friendly hotel with a town centre location. Our room rate included a good buffet breakfast and dinner. Coffee and cake was provided in the afternoon and this was much appreciated.

Parking in the hotel basement car park cost 200NOK per day which seems very expensive on top of a room rate. The only alternative is to park in nearby metered public car parks at about 50NOK for overnight and 70NOK for daytime parking.

We liked the hotel so much! The staff was very nice and attentive. The room and the hotel as a whole were exceptionally clean. Everything was in order in our room, every last bulb and switch. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was very convenient. Overall, a very cozy experience. We especially enjoyed the hotel's lobby where you can get a cup of coffee and sip it by the fireplace. Looking forward to staying there again!

The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the charming main shopping street. There is free parking (limited spaces, but I always found one). The meals are good. Breakfast was especially good with a lot of variety. Dinner entrees were okay.

Breakfast was a wonderful selection.a variety to suit everyone .the staff were very friendly and helpful.cakes were served at 3pm with a coffee.lovely an evening meal of gammon potatoes and various salads was served from 6pm.very central.good parking.

Not too keen on the thin broccoli soup but the foccaccia bread was lovely.shame that half of the main street was a building works.our balcony overlooked the post office so we're woken by the Mail vans being loaded early.

The hotel has a good location just outside the city center: not to busy, but only a short walk to restaurants and shops. Private parking and Tesla destination charger.

It was nice to be able to park my car in the garage (so no negative reviews on this), but be aware that the ceiling of the parking garage is low at some places, so be careful to open your trunk (and not damage it). It was also difficult to manoeuvre my car to the exit when I left the parking garage, but I must admit that I have a bigger car (Tesla model Y, which is a bit more than 2 m wide). But with some patience it worked :-)

Good full service hotel. We checked in at 19.00 and had to hurry to get the included dinner (fish and chips was the featured main course but there were options of salads etc.) . The dinner ended at 20.00 sharp. Breakfast was excellent. I parked outside which was free till 9 a.m. and then a modest charge for the next 90 minutes before we left.

The view of the parking lot was a little disappointing, although to be fair there are mountains behind it.

Great breakfast, something for everyone. Close to centre of town, but quiet too, very restful. Not far to walk from train and bus terminals (10 minutes). Evening buffet meal nutritious and welcome addition after a busy day of activities. Afternoon tea/coffee and cake between 3 and 5pm lovely idea too. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony and fitted 4 of us in comfortably, spacious. Bathroom came complete with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body wash in sustainable dispensing bottles...and they smelled lovely. Robe and slippers were a nice touch too. Kettle, iron and fridge in room. We felt very at home. Managed to squeeze in an extra bed when son refused to share a bed with his sibling.

Nothing. Uses feather pillows and duvets. So if you're allergic just be aware to ask for non allergy bedding. Beds were very comfortable.

great location! great value! rooms are small and very simple but super clean and comfy!

parking lots outside of your windows. be sure to request a room on the third floor if possible. also, if you are facing west and it’s a warm day, your room might be a little warm in the summertime… until the sunsets which is late. there are blackout curtains, which helps but then you will sacrifice fresh air to some degree. so if it’s warm, ask for a third floor room on the garden, you won’t have any view at all but it will likely be quieter and cooler.
