Chris was an awesome host, we loved the unit, clean tidy and comfortable.

Leaving

We were pleasantly surprised. The place is rough around the edges externally. Could do with a spruce up and perhaps a garden, so we didn't have a high expectations for our room. We were in the family room and we really liked it. We enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money. It was tidy, clean with plenty of beds. The beds were comfortable. Not too soft. The man who checked us in (the owner perhaps?) was super helpful and gave some great advice. It was awesome to have free wifi too. We could park right outside our room as well. There is traffic noise but that didn't bother us.

We had difficulty locating the office because the sign was being consumed by plants. It didn't help that when we drove into the motel you have a choice of driving left or right. We went left. Had we gone right then we would have likely seen the sign. A little guidance at the entrance would have been useful. Some of the furnishings in the room could be upgraded, mainly the sofa. It was the hardest sofa I had ever sat on.

Chris was amazing. The car broke down outside Te Kuiti. I called him mentioned that the car will be towed to Te Kuiti late in the evening. He offered to pick me up. However I did get a rental and the manager said he would wait till I got there. At the motel he was of great help and I am indebted to him. I am grateful to the good souls of King Country

All was good

Superb host who was very helpful when we arrived. Very nice, spotlessly clean, spacious chalet and good facilities. Well recommended for an overnight stop.

Difficult to find when you are unfamiliar with the territory. A large sign by the road would be sensible, otherwise it is the first turning on Waitomo Caves Road. It is also not that easy to see when you actually get there. More advertising would be useful. No immediate catering facilities - you have to go up the road to the restaurants or into town for food supplies.

Great value for money. Unfortunately we were just stopping for the night on our way through, but for a longer stay i would highly recommend. Full self contained dwellings, clean and tidy. Our cabin had 4 single beds in one room and a queen in the living area. Plenty for larger groups or families. Full functioning kitchen and bathroom you seriously could not ask for more

The cleanliness of the rooms were superb. The host was very informative, helpful and friendly. The location was central for what we needed

Listening to trucks using their air brakes all night long as they came up to the round about that joined two highways, approx 50m from our room, was too loud. Definitely take ear plugs, if you plan to stay The beds weren't too comfortable either,

Everything. Really well maintained. Simple cabin for our family but had everything we needed so couldn't really ask for anything extra about the accomodation

No complaints

Very nice staff. I came late in the evening and the owner suggested that it is worth doing a walk in the forest to see the glowworms even giving a map! If you want coffee with milk, a small bottle of milk is given at the reception. Very nice!

Very clean, plenty of room, handy kitchenette area and toilet/shower all separate from bedroom. Older style rooms but very neat and comfortable. Would stay again. Owner very friendly and helpful, handy to Waitomo tourist attractions

Reception waited up for us to arrive late at 9.30pm (traffic was horrible leaving Auckland on a Friday afternoon). Rooms were super comfortable and beds were fantastic!

Property was a little overgrown and parking was a little tricky but that is being pedantic and didn't impact what we needed from the stay!
