Moon Gate Villa

The welcoming was friendly and special. Lionel welcomed us with a lovely sign and welcome drinks. The facilities are incredible. You don’t need anything at all because it’s all supplied. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The pool is lovely. The bed is extremely comfortable. We loved the little treats that we got every day when we came back from our time out exploring. The breakfast is amazing as well. A very special place and great for time out and to relax. Thank you Lionel and Rob for being amazing hosts. We loved our stay!!! And would highly highly recommend.

The Host was extremely welcoming. The bed was the best bed I have ever slept in and the pillows soft and luxurious. A great breakfast included in the price : granola, fruits greek yohurt, toast and jam etc and a Nespresso machine! Bloody brilliant ! Very close to Kerikeri village. Definitely recommend and would stay here again next time. A delightful garden retreat that feels like home. Well done !

Could not fault our stay. The only thing i would say is if you could install some LED lights around the street sign would make it easier to spot the long narrow entry drive, especially at night

The cottage we stayed in was wonderful. Lionel and Rob friendly, gracious, and professional hosts. A really great experience and we were very impressed by the overall quality of their hospitality. Sad we couldn't stay longer. The bed in our cottage was very comfortable.

the breakfast was exceptional, the orange juice was freshly squeezed and was perfect. Lionel is a superb cook we could not have been more impressed with the breakfast he made for our family. the property is amazing and the room was exceptional. we could not have asked for anything better. thank you so much Lionel for making us feel so welcome we will be back to enjoy your hospitality and see your lovely fur babies. kindest regards John and Karen Hay

everything was perfect

Every thing was topnotch: A big room with a confy bed, the huge garden and last but not least a marvelous breakfast. The hosts were very kind and helpful, providing a list of restaurants, maps with informations about the surrounding and personal support about the airtraffic. There is really nothing to mention, what didn't work.

Run by really friendly hosts who had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and were very helpful and accomodating. They introduced me to some of the other guests too and we really enjoyed chatting over a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is of a high-standard and level. They provided a great breakfast and additional food on our request. The cottage where we stayed was very suitable for our dog. The hosts are helpful and forthcoming, always giving a right advice.

When the door to the property opened, two small dogs ran out to greet my sister & I. We are dog lovers, so this was an immediate tick for us. The owners Lionel & Rob were very hospitable & down to earth. Rob shared stories about their overseas trips & information about Northland, while Lionel/MasterChef cooked us a large delicious breakfast. It felt like we were staying with friends. Hospitality at its best. The king bed in the deluxe room is large enough to fit 3 people & very comfortable. The room was clean & warm & Rob & Lionel were only a phone call away if we needed anything. It is a 5 min walk (1 min drive) to the Old Packhouse market & Makana confections & 10-15 min walk (3 min drive) to Kerikeri town centre. Highly recommend staying here when you’re in Kerikeri. We stayed in the exquisite Cupid’s Bow room for New Year and we extended by a day too. Lionel’s breakfasts are fantastic and all chats with Rob were delightful. This is hospitality at it’s best. Highly recommended. Ngā mihi

We loved everything about the property! The room was amazing. So quiet and private with One of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The hosts Lionel And Rob were great. Lionel’s breakfasts are outstanding. Their local knowledge of things to do, places to visit and where to eat were exceptional. The attention detail is amazing, right from the welcome sign when we arrived to the wee chocolates placed on the bed each night.
