Location, cleanliness, staff were friendly and off street parking

On arrival our room wasn’t quite ready so went to the bar to have a drink. There was no one there to serve us and we were there for at least 30 minutes. There was four staff members sitting having a meeting and could see us but did not acknowledge us Also our stay was for four nights, but they put us in a room on the back side of the hotel were as one night stay people had the sunny side with the better outlook We did ask to change rooms which they did for us which was appreciated

We liked the location of the hotel. It was very convenient to walk to restaurants for dinner at night & for breakfast in the morning. Beds were comfy & the shower was good.

I booked a room with a balcony only to discover that we had a ground floor room. When I questioned the receptionist she stated that because the was a sitting area outside of the sliding doors it was classed as a "balcony room". This is not what a balcony room is. A balcony room is not on the ground floor. The ground floor rooms need to be described as having a "patio" not a "balcony". Very disappointing when you are expecting a balcony.

Centrally located in Blenheim, the heart of New Zealand's Marlborough wine region, Chateau Marlborough is a very nice hotel, professional looking with plenty of amenities. We were in the middle of a two week trip, and they helped arrange for laundry, and answered questions about restaurants and wineries around Blenheim. For warmer months there's a very nice pool. Didn't try the restaurant, as there were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. If you want to explore the town of Blenheim, it's very centrally located to downtown.

Parking is pretty tight, so if the hotel is fully booked up, you could have some issues getting in and out of parking spaces. It's not a big blocky hotel, almost like a faux villa look, so you can access your room from multiple doors, but in bad weather that means you're ducking in and out of rain rather than safe and dry the entire time. That's not the end of the world, but if you have mobility issues, that could be something to consider. Like many New Zealand hotels, there was not a door on the shower, so if you're from the US be aware that you'll be using all of your towels.

This is a lovely place to stay, big, comfy rooms and good service. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to town and to Lansdowne Park, which is where we needed to be during our trip to Blenheim. I would highly recommend this as an accommodation of choice in Blenheim.

They had a programme for environmental sustainability that allowed the guests to redeem a $10 voucher if there was no room cleaning service needed. We opted in for this however did not get the voucher. Maybe I didn't know how to get this redeemed, and I didn't ask on checking out. I assumed it would be made available on the day we put the sign out on our door which was before out checkout date.

Bed was so comfy. I slept really well which helped with my recovery from illness as I slept the best in months. The staff were brilliant, and the breakfast was really nice. Very clean, updated, elegant.

My card to open the door didn't work well. Every time I'd go back to my room the door wouldn't open so I had to ring front desk to come and open it and they had to give me a new card. Luckily, I had a phone to ring them as I would have been really mad if I had to walk to the front desk every time it happened, but the staff were great and would come to my motel room. When I first got there I kept getting lost as it was so big and everything looked the same! However, worked it out in the end.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Perfect location by Seymour Square, a short walk into the town centre. Easy parking. CNN on the TV. The restaurant was busy (in a good way), and the food and service were excellent.

Not much to dislike here, to be fair. The building is quite dated with odd little corner windows and bland decor. Our room had a kitchen area that maybe once was used for self-catering but now had empty cupboards and just seemed like a sad waste of space. We found the bed to be a little too firm for us, but you can't please everyone.

My mum and I had a lovely stay at the Chateau. From start to finish, the staff were superb. Special mention for Erika, who checked us in so nicely and generally went the extra mile to make our experience at the hotel really enjoyable. Our meals, breakfast and dinner, were delicious. The service from the restaurant staff was very good. We really liked the choice of food. The opportunity to dine in the hotel itself was great. We will definitely be recommending the Chateau to our friends and family.

This hotel is stunning. We had a massive room. The shower was amazing and the Elemis products made it luxurious. The TV had loads of channels. The bed was really comfortable - the best we'd had on our trip so far.

Literally the only negative thing is the quality of the toilet paper. It is so thin that it disintegrates on contact with moisture, leaving little bits of paper stuck to your intimate areas. I would definitely recommend the hotel but bring your own loo roll.

Studio: the set up & affordability. Executors room: the space & free Kiwi plush toy & spray for the pillow & chocolate brownie were all nice additions. Super room: there was a kitchen sink to actually fill up the jug/kettle to use (this wasn't available in the other two room) & it's good there was a stove in case we wanted to cook there. All rooms: The beds were comfortable and had a good layout & it was great having the t.v. facing the bed. It was neat to be able to play music in 2-3 rooms via the controller on the wall. It was nice to have a chocolate brownie in the executor's room. Customer Service: Tracey was the main staff member I liaised with, she was informative, understanding, patient, helpful, clear with her communication and was pleasant to speak with. Wi-fi: had no issues. T.V: Good size in all rooms, it worked fine, it's great it has Sky Movies and other channels, would be awesome to be able to Chromecast or go online & go on Netflix, Amazon Prime & other subscription channels to have the ability to watch content on there (Hotel may not get a subscription but, people subscribed can log in and log out at least to watch their series). Parking: Great parking, many spots to choose from at the Chateau for free. Amenities: Complimentary tea (earl gray, peppermint, lemon ginger) & drinking chocolate & coffee, great to have all 3 options to suit people's preferences. Great to have the essentials Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, body wash. It was nice in the Super room to have a ward drobe with a dressing gown to wear during our stay. Pool & Gym: Great to see these options available & the pool was up and running & had guests using it. Option to have a buffet breakfast for $29 & room service is a nice addition for those whom want to spend more money for that.

No rubbish & recycling bin in the toilet room for the studio +/- the executor's bathroom. No face wash & moisturiser on offer. No spare towels, face cloths available (would be good to have 1 spare for each person). Costly for 2 people to dine in at the restaurant there, my partner & I had 1 drink each, garlic 🍞 & 1 main item each & it was $124.54¢. Super room I stayed at for 1 night had water from the 🚿 spread to the floor surrounding the toilet. For the wall music controller: 2-3/3 radio stations didn't work in rooms it was tested on, volume only has 2-3 options and cannot be any louder. Less space in the Super room, no sink and tap for filling the jug/kettle in the Executor's room & I think Studio. No oven in the Super room.

Staff were very helpful, we needed to swap to a room on the ground floor due to limited mobility. Staff were able to accommodate this last minute change. Room and bathroom were both very clean and tidy, we got the queen with single bed. Single bed was still comfortable, even if squeezed into the corner. The TV was a good size and has sky. There was a small fridge in the room plus a jug to make coffee in the morning. WIFI worked well. Carpark was busy but we always found a spot. We had a car but it was feasible to walk into town (~10-15 mins). There is also a restaurant, we didn't eat there but it has a great reputation locally.
