Cosy and convenient being in walking distance to Spark Arena and Britomart.

The toilet seat had dried on urine which was gross and black mold forming in the shower. The furniture was all damaged and the ceiling looked disgusting. They are extremely short staffed so we completely understand, I have a feeling it was used for managed isolation.

If you're staying on a busy night, parking might be an issue. When I called, I was told there is limited parking at the hotel but that they had additional parking further up the road. Once at the hotel, however, I was informed that it was actually just a Wilson parking lot, and they couldn't guarantee parking but would reimburse the cost. It would have been good info to have (particularly since it was a concern, and I called to check). Thankfully, when we stayed, the staff was lovely and accommodating, so it never became a problem for us.

Room was very different from the picture advertised. Air conditioning was so loud we couldn't have it on.. Room was booked for 3 people but we only got towels & crockery for 2.

It’s been 6!years once I stayed here last. And to be fair I wasn’t expecting anything different accept it might have more wear and tear but the hotel is different from my memories and although it’s decor is the same, it’s very clean and I felt the service was really great I had my meals via room service who were so quick and all the food was beyond my expectations. Overall it reminded me of the REAL HOTEL EXPERIENCE (air bnb) is rubbish and I’ll forever be a little old school with where I trust to stay when travelling. Thanks to this booking I can honestly suggest to anyone that wants to be pleasantly surprised,, book at copthorne and enjoy great restaurant food in a comfortable hotel.

Lol the ocean is a very broad and optimistic thing to advertise as the veiw, although it’s there in the background..past the docs.. and past the shipping containers. And the sounds of a industrial train running through the “view of the ocean “ it’s still the more industrial city down here, hence good restaurants and comfortable beds makes it easy to close the curtains and get well needed rest and relaxation

Room was lovely, loved the little balcony and being able to walk out there. Enjoyed the fact we got breakfast included. Bed was comfy and clean, there was however a banging noise in the walls what seemed like everytime the person below us or next to us turned on water, it was pretty loud at 3am (like hitting a metal pipe with a hammer) - But otherwise it was very nice. Great thing is the pressure on the showers were great, love that! When we checked in it was smooth and easy, but there was no mention that we would be charged to park at the hotel, that was weird, surly parking is part of your room rate? Thank you

But we got to keep our car parked there all night, so that was good.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. They granted me a late check out and then let me work in the restaurang (which was closed) until I left for the airport. On three separate occasions staff, who were not on duty in the restaurant, asked if I was okay if I wanted anything. One told me to help myself to coffee. Room service meal was delicious and beyond expectations.

Room was 'tired' and in need of a refresh and a good clean i.e. grouting in the tiles in the shower. Splashes on the wall. The lighting is terrible for working and I had to move the table into the corridor outside of the bathroom to do a Zoom meeting.

Location was great, beds were comfy, we had a balcony with a view of the harbour which was nice. The place was well priced for what it was and I would stay again.

Loud A/C that was either on or off. The pillows were very flat and there were no extras and the room was only set up for two people even though we had 3 staying in the room. Also the plugs were all over the place but not anywhere convenient. These are just minor though and didn’t ruin our stay at all!

The bed was really good and I wanted to stay anther night just so I could spend all day in the bed

Well I don't understand that they didn't have late night room service like it's really easy to make a club sandwich, hot chips,fettuccine, soup, after hours as I'm a late night eater and I didn't really want Uber as most of the time it comes cold or I have a sideways pizza og even pizza easy to cook up at night for room service ..... then in the morning my experience kinda went down hill . You guys had a function in the back room and for got to check the breakfast buffet like I had to wait for 10 mins to get baked beans and eggs then when they brought it out there where no hashbrowns left Then I thought I would go and get some coffee and it's only espresso or long black way couldn't there been flat white and hotchoc and moccas... but yer those where the two things I didn't like thank you

We really liked our room! I asked the gentleman who took my call... if we could have a room with a view of the water. We were delighted with the room recommendation by Simerpreet Singh. He was very pleasant to deal with, Thank you

I don't like early starts! but the two young women at the Breakfast Club were smiling at us, as when we entered the room. We both felt really welcome. They made sure that I had exactly the coffee I wanted...they even made sure the cup size was right. It was a very enjoyable breakfast!

The room was good, clean with good facilities, hot shower, plenty of towels etc. Bathroom only had one bar of soap and two bottles of shampoo - this meant we decided to use the bar of soap to wash our hands, and bought our own shower gel for use in the shower. Would be good to have an extra bar of soap or a bottle of shower gel. Otherwise was very good, no issues with our stay, reception staff were always very friendly and helpful.
