Campanile Hotel & Restaurant Venlo

Very easy to find, just off the motorway, It had everything we needed for a night’s stop and was good value . Good WiFi and parking. Bed comfy. Great shower and water pressure. Small restaurant and bar which does the job. Staff very pleasant. Would be happy to stay again.

Our room smelt slightly of cigarette smoke. All rooms have outside access, like an American Motel. Maybe not so good in winter. My soup bowl in the restaurant had large dark cracks in the glaze which was unhygienic. I thought it was part of the decoration, but my husband’s bowl didn’t have the crazing inside and was just plain white. Didn’t realise until I had eaten the soup, which was excellent. I am surprised staff thought it was acceptable to serve soup in an obviously imperfect bowl.

First of all I’d like to thank the reception gentleman, if I’m not mistaken - Sam, who helped with a late check-in, advised on late meals options, including food delivery. As to the hotel itself, in fact there are not so many options to choose from in Venlo. I came to Venlo to participate in the dance competition, so I simply chose a place to stay based on its central location. It is a motel-type accommodation having each room entered from the outer corridor. In fact, the room is fine with twin beds & and a good desk. I wish there were a mini-fridge(bar) in the room.

Very steep narrow stairs, that was a challenge to bring my 20 kilo suitcase up to the 2nd floor. Breakfast is definitely overpriced. It is good, but too expensive. €8-10 would be fair.

Very convenient location, close to the highway that leads from the Netherlands to Germany. In addition, the hotel has everything you need: a comfortable big bed, the room is quite warm, a comfortable shower with warm water, there is a hair dryer, there is also a kettle and the possibility to make coffee and tea... We are very grateful to the staff for their attitude towards people! We didn't have time to arrive by 11:00 p.m. and were late, but on the door of the hotel my name and the location of the key to my room were written in Ukrainian, and they also informed me that I would be able to pay later... I thank the staff very much for this, you are the best!!!

Friendly staff. I was given a nice greeting upon arrival. The room (#2) was clean and comfortable as I needed it to be. A perfect accommodation for a short stay. The restaurant / bar was clean. I thought the breakfast was pretty good! Quiet, secure location.

Food was far too expensive for what was presented (I had a Greek salad. hmmmmm....) Drinks a bit pricey. Limited offerings on the television. The free hotel WiFi worked great but be aware it is an open, unsecured system. Not a complaint: the hotel is located pretty well on the edge of Venlo, so if you want, say, fast food or a more upscale dining experience, then you'll need to drive or walk a long way. Anyway, I was satisfied with my stay.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and will probably be back again next year. It is a convenient location, just off the motorway with good parking. The staff are efficient and friendly. The final words when we left were "Bye, bye, see you again next year".

Best value hotel ever. Comfortable, clean, superb staff, close to the motorway, EV charger at the car park. Basic hotel but consistently decent.

Great staff, all the different staff I met were great. There was a surprisingly good buzz in the evening in the hotel bar! :)

Probably a little bit pricey for the location but to be fair its only 3km from the city so i'm probably being a bit harsh

Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Easy to get to by car and a bus stop into Venlo from just outside the hotel.

The rooms were small and a little dated. Slept well though.

This is our dozens times we stays in this hotel. The staffs are very friendly n helpful. Thls location is good and the food never disappoint us. There are supermarkt, fast food not far.

Staff are very good, breakfast very good, selection and quality. Rooms are exceptionally clean. Good bed, but decor and fittings very basic. Good location and easy parking.
