I have stayed here a few times in the big room facing the station. Very comfortable and clean. Bed is big, cosy and always clean. Staff downstairs are friendly and accommodating - requested a late check-out at least twice and it was never an issue. Dinner in the downstairs steak restaurant was nice. 1 minute walk to train station and super easy for access to Amsterdam, Alkmaar etc.
Breakfast isn't fabulous but I always go out to eat elsewhere anyway. It's up some external stairs that are not accessible for those who struggle on their feet.

This hotel offers a complete package: fantastic beds, separate entrance, excellent management, asking questions to ensuring a great stay, offering an excellent steakhouse with great fish and vegetarian options on the main floor below the guest bedrooms. Over the past 5 years I have stayed at most hotel and B&B venues in Castricum and I can honestly say that I definitely know that this will be the place I will stay at next time I’m in town.
