Van der Valk Hotel Breukelen

The breakfast was good and varied We got large, spacious and well-equipped rooms The beds were very comfortable and luxurious Large free parking outside the hotel

Location is a bit far from the main attractions Our room was located very far from the center of the hotel We got 2 connected rooms, The main room had no bathroom door Unfortunately this bathroom was not in use during the entire stay Garbage bags left by the door were not picked up by the cleaning staff and coffee cups were not washed or replaced

Very good choice at breakfast including both cooked and continental. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, meat/cheese/smoked fish, breads/pastries, tea/coffee/juices. Constantly replenished; plenty of tables/staff. The room was very roomy and comfortable; good temperature; good sound-proofing. The hotel is very close to the motorway; massive car park with choice of EV chargers. Breukelen turned out to be very nice with good supermarkets and range of restaurants. We didn't try the train but the station was handy and it was almost certainly cheaper for a trip to Utrecht than driving and paying to park.

The lift in our block wasn't working and there seemed little prospect of it being fixed. The wifi was quite temperamental. We were surprised that the towels and sheets seemed to be changed every day (and the towels were not as good quality as you'd expect). The shower door leaked into the rest of the bathroom.

Room was lovely and spacious with double bath and shower,room had coffee machine and mini fridge also netflix. Bed was big and comfortable and overall it was pleasant experience. Restaurant and bar menu had lovely selection of food for fair price, considering it's a hotel and even McDonald was 3min walk from hotel. There was easy access to train station, just 2min away or highway, free parking too.

Not much of dislikes,just maybe more attention to cleanliness of the Pool be nice. Water was full of debris and for the size of the pool,which was pretty small, shouldn't be problem to clean it out every night or in the morning. Another detail is no drying rack in the room,so bathrobe or towels weren't dry completely for the next day. Also bear in mind there is train track from one side of the hotel,so it could be heard when train's passing,

Room was very nice, the bed was comfy, looked stylisch and was of good size (we did not book the cheapest one). Shower and bathroom were very clean and complete. Staff during breakfast was very young but really were doing a good job. The breakfast was good as well, lots of choice and the food was fresh and of good quality.

there was in the room no minibar or complimentory drink other then a bottle of water, would have loved it if there would have been a cold beer or some red wine..... The 2 beds were not connected, ao drifted apart.

For a very busy corporate style hotel we, as a family, felt welcomed and relaxed. The staff, who all seemed young, were attentive, helpful and very pleasant. The location was great, we took the train to Amsterdam, so easy and compared to the UK reasonably cheap, whilst other ventures out with the car were simple given the proximity of the A2. Thank you we had a great time.

Nothing - everything was to, or above, expectations and having worked, and been brought up, in the Hotel sector I was very impressed with the enthusiasm of the staff, bravo.

Excellent hotel which was spotlessly clean, welcoming and has great facilities. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate and very pleasant to use. We loved the breakfast - huge choice and good quality. We used the restaurant one evening and the vegetarian food was very good. The gym and spa is lovely and we swam most days. Plenty of free parking. We had our bikes with us and we cycled from the hotel most days - the cycling was superb. The walk into the town takes about 20 minutes and there is a good supermarket as well as plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars etc. The train station is right next to the hotel and the journey to Utrecht or Amsterdam is very easy and quick. We loved staying at this hotel and will definately try other Van der Valk hotels next time we visit the Netherlands. We are very happy to recommend this hotel.

Nothing - it was excellent.

The place was beautiful, our room was very big and had a terrace where could have a space outside. I have chosen this hotel specially because the wellness area was included which was a very nice one, specially the sauna area ahhh , and the breakfast! Wow! Amazing, amazing, amazing! We've been in buffet breakfasts but this one... Wow!!! The Breakfast was great, definitely left a great impression. Location right next to the train station. They offered a romantic package where I could add rose petals and heart shape balloons to the room, that was a nice service!

Our room didn't seem to very sound proof as we could hear the people on the hallway, gave me the feeling that people.in the hallway could hear us which didn't give me the feeling of great privacy. We were told we could buy in the dispenser machines a few pharmacy items but the machine wasn't really working or not having stock so we had to go back all the way to the city to get those. Food in the bar/restaurant of the hotel could have been better. Decoration of the room can be better too.

The room was very pleasant, bed was extremely comfortable, large bathroom with good size bath and shower, nice hygiene products. The meeting room facilities were exceptional, whoever is in charge of this area deserves a bonus, the refreshments ticked every box outstanding! Even the chairs in the room were perfect 😊

My only small dislike, while soundproofing from outside is perfect, my room was near the wellness area and a busy corridor so you could hear everyone's conversation.

There are a lot of parking spaces, very close to the entry - The breakfast offers a large variety of food - The staff switched in English immediately for us and no problem communicating with them - The bedroom and its bathroom are spacious and well organized - There was a coffee machine AND a kettle in the room - The decoration was tastefully modern

The breakfast is a bit expensive - The fake plants in the bedroom were covered in dust - There was shampoo, skin lotion and hair conditioner in the bathtub but neither of those seemed to be body soap... - On Sunday, the coffee and tea hadn't been restocked and the cleaning was "messier" (it was more noticeable someone had been there) than the previous days

The room was nice, we did not have a view, however you can open the window and go outside on a small terrace (everyone can do that so be careful to keep your curtains open) Overall the room was clean, large, it had everything you need for a pleasant stay The parking is free or charge Breakfast was amazing, I do not remember exactly how much we paid 15 eur per person, but it was really worth it The train is very close, you can park your car and go to center by train/metro The hotel is close to the main road, but you dont hear anything MC donalds is right around the corner if you wish to have a late night snack Also the bar is opened in the evening if you wish to have a drink or two once you return from the center
