Kings Inn City Hotel Alkmaar

The staff were excellent - they could not have been more helpful or polite. The room is small but perfectly adequate for an overnight or short stay. Breakfast is a 2 minute walk away in the hostel which had a good variety of food. The hotel is right in the centre of Alkmaar and only minutes away from the shops, bars and restaurants.

The lighting in the bedroom was rather dim. Weekends can be noisy due to the close proximity of a main multi storey car park but otherwise is fine.

The hotel was quirky with the rooms in a seperate building to Reception (just as well it wasn't raining) The room itself was large and the bed comfortable. Although our room was only just inside the main door, it was quiet and we didn't hear the other guests. Our breakfast was plentiful and tasty

There was a lack of sockets in the room so charging both our phones was a problem. There was a kettle but no cups or any tea or coffee to make drinks.

Good location and bike storage. Staff very kind and helpful.

This is both a hostel and a hotel. The hotel rooms are in a different building. The rooms are a bit dark and dated. Its also an old building, so there is zero sound insulation. You can hear everything in adjoining rooms, and from street (ear plugs are provided as standard). Breakfast is a bit weird. You order the night before and are basically given a plate of food the next morning. No selection as such. The food was basic but fine.

Close parking possible. Friendly personal by incheck, breakfast and checkout. Room was at a good location, not much noice outside (Double glass window). Breakfast is a big pro, they said to us ''If you need extra, we will provide. We do not want you to leave hungry!''.... we never left hungry...

Dusty room. Small bathroom, but you have everything you need. The room we had was very `hostel` style, and needed some updating. If you have bad neighbour guests, you will hear everything (thin walls and floors).

The hotel is located very close to the center of Alkmaar and just 15 minutes walking from the train station. The staff was kind and they even suggested me what to visit in the city. The hotel room is located in a house, very close to their hostel. The place is clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. A good experience and the price is honest for what you get. If you are visiting Alkmaar, I definitely suggest to sleep here.

I do not have negative remarks.

The view from the room was lovely overlooking the roof of the bldgs across the lane. It was sparklingly clean, the bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was spacious.

I had asked for two double beds, and I got a full-size bed instead, but it worked out fine, and there was ample room.

The suite was impressive, clean, and had all the features we expected. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was a very generous portion. Location was very central.

The room was next to a main road, and there was a bit of noise in the night - but complimentary earplugs are provided.

I like the provided breakfast prepared on ones preferences. The staff is very kind. Room and bathroom are comfortable and clean. Room comes with a mini fridge.

It can get a bit noisy at nighttime, but not too drastic.

The location was excellent close enough to the entertainment but far enough away so not disturbed Breakfast was incredible

I would of preferred on shower gel and soap dispensers rather than the sample bottles but a minor inconvenience

Friendly and helpful staff, although I was surpriced when I was asked what I would like for the breakfast ,like: what kind of bread, tea or coffee, what kind of eggs. But the breakfast at the end was reach and good. Top center location.
