Blue Mansion Hotel

Very friendly staff, room was perfect in terms of size and facilities: soft bed, airco, large sink and shower, large tv. . Restaurant was good as well. Not too many choices, but the food was good. Local beers on draught. Nice modern interior. Overall I was very pleased with my stay.

When arriving from the parking lot, there's a sign saying 'ring the bell to open' on the door. However there's no bell and the door can only be opened from the inside. Luckily another guest noticed me standing there and opened the door for me. Airco was also noisy when turned off (a strange low sound remained, like there was a truck outside with the engine running stationary). Local beers were a bit expensive (€7,50 for a large beer). The food was good, but a little simple. Location of the hotel was practical for one night near the airport, but not a nice area for a longer stay. There were some guys (some with hoodies) walking in and out regularly, sitting on the terrace (in bad weather) and hanging around the reception. This felt a bit shady.

We loved how clean and cozy the rooms were, as well as how helpful all the staff was during our stay. When we checked in, we opened the door to the balcony/outside area and it partially fell of the hinges. The girl at reception came over, reported everything and video called her manager right away to report the issue. We went out into town and by the time we were back, everything had been fixed without additional costs.

The only thing that is annoying (and not to the fault of the hotel) is that the public transport that passes by is not covered by the regular Amsterdam public transport passes. So, if you buy a daily travel pass from the airport, it won't get you to the hotel without additional costs.

we almost give a perfect score, as we really enjoyed our stay. However, when we arrived, we nearly walked out and moved to different hotel. The receptionist when we arrived, was unfriendly, miserable, not welcoming and very unsupportive. I wish we got her name down so we can complaint. But luckily, we managed to speak to another night staff (he’s from Afghanistan)… I could rate this staff with 10Stars!!!! he’s amazing, he made us realised how good the Blue Mansion was. He supported us to plan our journey to city centre. He told us how to get there and the cheapest way to get out and about. Unlike the other receptionist who told us “just google it”. Very rude. We are happy to stay again in Blue Mansion because of him (the guy from Afghanistan). Please pass this message to him.. Thanks

Miserable, unwelcoming, unfriendly staff. Only one particular staff though, the rest are BRILLIANT.

bed was very comfy and the room was cleaned everyday with new towels and new bottles of shower gels and shampoos etc.

We booked a deluxe twin room, because it said the room was a lot bigger however we don't think it was or they just gave us the standard size, the beds were pushed together with no way of separating them so we may as well had a double bed when we specifically asked for twin beds. Most of the staff was friendly but one wasn't so friendly, we found her quite rude but overall the place itself was very nice.

I traveled with my wife Tina and it was our first time visiting Amsterdam. we enjoyed staying in our hotel and the staff were very kind and friendly, particularly Aisha, the lady in the reception desk. The size of room was OK and also the bed was comfortable, but quite near airport so you will hear & see plains nearby. I loved the idea of coffee machine in the room which I could have my coffee in the room early morning and it was very nice. The shower was also good. The hotel is located in a small (but beautiful) borough of south Amsterdam, however if one does not have a car or don't take a taxi, then they need to travel with a bus and train or tram for 1 hour or more to reach Central Station of Amsterdam for example. Going to airport without taxi also takes 30 to 60 minutes (depends on given options).

Probably the small things would make a difference! For instance, providing cotton buds, facial tissues, or some cutleries in the room. After all, it is a 3 star hotel and for this reason, I cannot complain much.

Even though the rooms next to us were booked, we couldn't hear anything due to the sound proofwalls. The cleaning staff was super curteous and efficient. The shower was amazing and the coffee machine is a really big plus when you dont have time to have a full breakfast. Umbrellas were available for us to take for free and the staff let us know how to get to Amsterdam central.

Minimal details, the cleaning staff sometimes put 4 cuchions instead of 2 pillows and 2 cuchions, making it harder to sleep like that, and sometimes the receptionist would be on a call on his personal phone on the sofas, and wouldnt hang up or put the call on hold to help us.

Loved almost everything! The entire hotel is very clean and modern! Rooms have everything that you need, even a small fridge!

The location, unfortunately. If you are planning to go to Amsterdam everyday, like we did, it is not that close and quite complicated by public transport. But with a car it’s not that far!

Quite hotel. So if you wanna rest this is the place and the staff is nice and welcoming. Breakfast was ok.

The location is terrible... If you go to the center of Amsterdam by public transportation, it'll take you up to 1.5 hours. The last bus to the hotel is around 21:30. Otherwise it is a 3km walk... Or take a taxi/bolt for tons of money. Mold in the shower... A bleach every once in a while can do magic.

I needed somewhere near to schipol for an early morning flight. T/calls to reception were very good and more than helpful giving me bus alternatives to taxi which saved a lot of money getting to blue mansions. I liked the way all your staff were so helpful. I liked the reception welcome both in interior design/cleanliness and of course the staff helpfulness . I ordered the snitzel however although the outside may have been hot the centre was not. Your staff was honest and advised it was her first day and if there were any problems to advise. I let them know not happy with cold interior snitzel/ this was quickly replaced however interior still less than luke warm. I requested just to replace by bit more salad. I was impressed when staff member then brought me another schnitzel... however by that time I eaten too many chips. I tasted a piece and was pleased to relate the centre was hot. However I think management should look at the suppliers and consistency of this chicken? Snitzel. I enjoyed staff friendliness.

Your snitzel supplier is not chicken. So basically I think your management team should have to look at the basic product.
