very nice staff. clean and great location

We were urged by the front desk to use the spa facilities. Two of us got manicures. The girls didn’t really know what the were doing so it chipped off the next day. I got a massage which was only so-so. the girl doing my massage kept talking to the other girl outside of the room. she also used like a gallon of oil. It was just kind of silly by the end. My friend got a foot massage and had a similar experience. my advice-there are so many places to get massages and nice spas with quiet settings. this was not that place

This was my 2nd stay at Taleju Boutique Hotel returning from my trek. Staff was very helpful, I had a lovely nights stay on 4th floor facing the courtyard of the hotel, which was very quiet and private :-) The only reason for the rating of 4 instead of 5 is my morning shower wasn't hot - the shower the day before was and the TV didn't seem to work (I did not report this to reception - I'm sure they would have worked to resolve this swiftly). Location wise the hotel is in a quiet side street, 5-10 mins walk from busy shopping streets which is nice and gives an opportunity to take in the atmosphere on way to Thamel/other locations of interest.

Rustic style boutique hotel. Very hospitable staff. Located within walking and taxi distance from main attractions including Narayanhiti museum, Garden of dreams, Hanuman Dhoka, Durbar square, Swayambunath and Boudha Stupa. We were given good, comfortable rooms adjacent to each other with a balcony as requested. Front office and restaurant staff were excellent!

Located in very narrow lanes. Housekeeping was not up to the mark. Rooms were often cleaned late and in a hurry leaving it still dusty, supplies like tea, coffee, water not replenished and superficially cleaned. It will be good to have housekeeping supervision to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards

very good location in Tamel, not too noiscy & easy to walking around. so appreciate the concierge Mr. Sunjay who so service mind with his duty and personally take cares and support his guest. really reccomment for all journey in Kathamandu. These' s Napali warm welcome :)) _/\_

The team has as a family vibe that makes this place warm and happy. Service is excellent. The location is in the quiet area of Thamel and just less than 10mins from any happening place in the district. For those that want a yoga or activity place, you can check out the roof ;) Breakfast is everyday changed and has local and global choices which makes it easy for fussy ones and also open to family with kids. Dont forget to ask for the airport transfert. Last.points...showers are really warm and never fail as well as the room heating which makes it enjoyable after a day of visiting. Which can be closed with a good massage at the SPA whithin the hotel.

Absolutely amazing. Stayed in 5 different hotels in Thamel and this one was recommended to me by another trekker after EBC. Friendliest staff ever, they upgraded me even though they didn't have to, watched my stuff for 8h while I was exploring KTM after checking out, great breakfast, I could go on and on ... This hotel could compete in the U.S. or Europe tbh. 11/10 stars.

Practically in the center of Thamel. The domotics of the rooms is something very intelligent, allows with a small key to enter both the main door of the structure and in your room. The truly 'wow' effect will come out upon entering the room, luxury parquet, 100% nepali design , top quality sheets, blankets and pillows. The practically bathroom, with state-of-the-art showers and sanitary facilities. The general cleanliness shows a careful eye of the desire for fresh in the room. Quality price of this property, you have the real feeling of having just made a real deal in a city, Kathmandu, likewise magical. recommend this place. 10/10

The fact that it is located in a small street, shows an absolute quiet.

Set in a quiet-ish alley but in easy walking distance of Thamel’s shops and restaurants. Staff were smiley and desperate to please. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was a wet room so flooded after a shower. The hot water supply could take ages to get up to speed. Breakfasts were a bit hit and miss and it took us a while to realise decent coffee was available (at a price) rather than the tin of instant on offer.

Main reason for booking at Taleju was the spa. I was not disappointed. Both Anu and Simma were excellent masseuses and as a result I rebooked a number of times during my stay. Definately the best massages I had in Nepal. Breakfasts and staff were all good, and shower in the room was excellent. The location was quiet, and walking distance to Thamel and Durbar square. I had a great stay at Taleju Boutique and would recommend to any one wanting a good value for money, comfortable hotel.
