Terrasse Hotel Playa del Carmen

Great front desk staff, really helpful and kind. Comfortable bed, clean room, view of the sea, close to the 5th Ave tourist strip and a few blocks from the beach. About a 30 minute walk to ferry via 5th, which was fun with all the shops- anything you need is close. Beware, lots of tourist trap businesses around but also some gems. Beach about 10 minute walk away, beach club pass gets you into a fun spot! Roof terrace and pool clean, relaxing, and private. Free coffee, tea, and fruit in the lobby. Restaurant below is good, and reasonably priced.

Heard talking from another room on last day, not bad enough to use provided earplugs, just annoying. Any other sounds were typical to staying in any city. Had read reviews saying it is close to Ado station,it is not. It's about a 30 minute walk, or 150 peso taxi. Shower water stopped when the toilet was flushed.

Lovely comfortable rooms and bathroom. We had an issue with a dripping shower but the staff were quick to fix it. Rooftop pool was nice a little chilli in the evening but a nice hang out spot. Breakfast not included but the cafe was reasonable and nice to have breakfast in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price very good for this hotel.

Wifi was strange there were different connections for different floors. Small inconvenience. Location is not that central maybe 15 min walk which is fine in the day but not so much at night. I wouldn’t do it alone but ok with others.

Location( quiet but glide enough) room decor. Pool though it was not in use in this location. Access to water including hot water and fruit each morning,

Pool out if service 4/5 of our days. We were able to use pool in Balcon ( same chain) on same road but not exactly as comfortable to have to walk to another building. Balcony pool area possibly nicer though… and cheaper

The rooms are very stylish and clean. In the lobby you can drink coffee or tea, also find some fresh fruits and refill your water bottle. Swimming pool on top with a nice view. The staff is very kind and helpful. We could always rely on them in case of any problems or questions. We booked in the beginning only 2 nights, but in the end prolonged our stay here until the end of our vacation 😊 Thank you for this!

It is located in the end of the restaurant area. But it’s just 5 min walk to the 5th Avenue, for us never been a problem. Maybe even better, it was a very quiet area.

There is so much I could say about staying at Terrasse. The hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful---the decor and the attention to detail. The quality of towels and bedding, along with the waste free soaps really made my heart sing. They even had two glass water carafes in my room that were refilled for me each day. The cafe, though I didn't eat there was just charming and the food looked great. I will and would stay here again and recommend to all who ask.

Hard to imagine since the stay exceeded my hopes so well. I would say a little more shade on the rooftop so that if you wish to stay up there longer you do not have to have so much sun on you.

The property was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. The amenities were amazing especially the fact that you can rent a bike for around $10 a day. Mirla and Barbara and everyone else at the front desk were so sweet and helpful during my stay. It was always nice to see a friendly face when returning. The attached cafe, Coa, is also outstanding one of the best I’ve ever been to. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, it’s just off 5th on a quieter side of town, to me the perfect location. Thank you Terrasse for an outstanding stay! I will be back!

nice spacious room, clean and contemporary. large bathroom with everything you need. the rooftop area is a great sun trap with a pool and beds for sunbathing. all very clean. Location is away from the main drag, about a 15 min walk. close to Esmerelda beach which is quiet and seclude enough. some very nice local restaurants nearby too to try authentic cuisine.

blackout curtains do cover the full window which let in the bright sunlight. otherwise no issues.

Everything is very new and clean, there is an elevator working, spacious rooms with super comfortable huge beds. Very responsive and friendly staff too - whenever we had an issue with our room, they fixed it immediately. One gets a fresh beach towel every day. And with staying at this hotel you get a free access to the Martina Beach Club (11 min walk from the hotel) where you get a free sun bed and an umbrella. You just need to ask for the card at the reception. Hotel rooftop is super cute with chairs, cabanas and a clean swimming pool with a wonderful view over Playa del Carmen. Also, the hotel provides a bottle a water every day so that is covered too. Very delicious coffee from the cafe downstairs (around 2€). Location is a bit further from the downtown, around 15 min walk to the very center, but that gives you quiet nights. Wifi worked good. I already miss this place😁

Lovely room, staff are great and super helpful/friendly. locations is wonderful - 5 min walk to the start of 5th Avenue so you’re away from the main hustle and bustle but can easily get there. loved the rooftop sun beds.

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the decor and the staff, to our clean room, convenient location, it was all exceptional. The cafe downstairs was also amazing! We could tell it was going to be nice when we saw the same people from other stays come in for breakfast days in a row.

There wasn’t much not to like, it was beautiful!!
