Banyan Tree Mayakoba

The hidden gem is El Pueblito no one really talks about. The food at burger shop and el fondita was amazing. Pricing was reasonable. Food was delicious. I would recommend to family and friends.

The ceiling in the living room was constantly dropping/ leaking debri. It wasnt addressed at all. No one would clean the debri on the table. We had requested for a childrens bicycle and helmet on the first day of arrival on thursday but didnt get the bicycle until monday the day before our departure. We had called multiple times. We spoke to another family that landed on a date later than us and they received 2 bicycles for both their children. That was disappointing because my son wanted to ride a bicycle the every day....

One of the most beautiful hotels we've ever been to. The natural mangrove settings combined with the luxury of the hotel are just wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We went to celebrate our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it an extra special occasion. It is very expensive, yes. But you can see back every penny spent in the details and the beauty of the place.

Some services or treatments, like the massages for example are way too expensive and they were nothing different to other massages we've had. They could offer more realistic (not over-priced) treatments or do something more unique to justify the crazy prices.

The place is simply stunning, full of wildlife and green. The size of the entry level villa is ridiculously big, we had all the privacy and the space we wanted. The whole compound is a green island just outside playa del carmen and we loved exploring it by riding our complimentary bikes (essential unless you want to rely on buggies all day long). the choice of activities is ample and could do with a bit more advertising from the staff for guests to understand what is abailable to them. The beach is excellent, very well kept. The attention to detail of all the staff is just remarkable, it was an unforgettable stay and probably amongst the best we’ve got anywhere during our travels

The main thing we disliked is the unacceptably long check-in process (45-50 mins from the time we arrived to actually get the key). This is not up to Thai Banyan standard. Most of the villas are about 2km away from the beach, 2km away from tennis/padel facilities so not as close as we had immagined but it was a pleasant bike ride using the ‘nature trail’

One of the best hotel we did in Mexico Mayakoba is just great, with many nature trails if you want to do your Joging in the morning, we even saw spider monkeys when running early in the morning! You may see crocodiles, koatis, raccoons!!! It is just wonderful, thousand of birds… The property is just amazing, so well maintained, so nice from the furnitures, to the gardens… for me the gardeners are the real heroes in this hotel!!! Their work is fantastic The swimming pool in the villa are very well heated, it is a pleasure to get into the water! The staff is incredible, so nice from the waiters to the gardeners to the housekeeping The rooms are cleans, housekeeping is doing an amazing job Everyone is well trained, no one will enter in your villa if not given the permission.. professionalism is everywhere and that is pure joy. Ok, it is expensive, but honestly it is totally worth it!! The set up on the beach is just great with a great restaurant, a lot of service, good music choices… everything is done for your well being there!!! And the sea… the color of the sea!!! With its sand that is like some flour it is just paradise!!! Property is huge and we just enjoyed a lot to hang with our bike there! Food is just amazing, in each restaurant we have done!! It is the reason why we decided to get back for additional nights!!! And restaurants close pretty late Cocktails are great Villas are huge, bathroom are super nice If you can take a villa that give a view on the River, it just wonderful and so quiet In one word if you want to stay next to playa del Carmen, Banyan Three is the best choice!!

Beautiful resort, very friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to all the butlers! We weren’t too happy with the first villa that we stayed in (noise was the main reason), the staff there offered prompt support for us to move into another villa. I loved all the restaurants, the spa. Honestly didn’t find the food very expensive. It was a great stay.

Our first villa wasn’t very clean, there was a constant humming noise that affected our sleep.

Every detail about this place went above and beyond for exceptional service. The staff was incredible at tending to all of our needs. No matter what it was or what time of day. The views were incredible. The food was amazing. The private pool attached to our room was incredible. The design of the property itself was so gorgeous I couldn’t get enough of it. This place exceeded every expectation we had. I’m very high maintenance when it comes to places I stay and I’ll say this is by far my favorite resort I’ve ever been to. I also had the best massage of my life at the spa my a woman named ying. I will definitely be going back!!!

Unparalleled staff, unbelievable location in a jungle/nature preserve. First class all the way.

Recommend checking prior to booking to see if any conventions are being hosted when visiting - loud, disrespectful convention attendees were a real problem.

Amazing resort from A to Z. On of the best resorts i ever been to in my life. I loved everything about this place, it's top level experience and would deserve a 10* if it would exist. Rooms are amazing, beach club is amazing, service is top notch, pure 1st class experience.

Incredibly friendly staff who will make anything possible- you feel very welcome just like coming home. The Villas are exceptionally beautiful and clean, the restaurants are great and the new beach club fab. Pics can't justify the beauty of the property! Its huge and you can cycle around the 4 properties (every Villa has their own bikes) and experience the Mayan Jungle- they have a Cenote on the property with a guide who was super nice and knowledgeable . LOVED IT!

I wish it was more kid-friendly. Kids club was quite small and i wish there was a bigger pool for the kids like a slide and splash pad.
