Hotel Santa Regina

Really enjoyed the hotel staff. Rosy and Judi were very helpful and welcoming. They assisted in getting a tour for us which worked out great. You’re a minute walk to the center and we felt very safe. It’s a very old and historic building and enjoyed the historical feel. Breakfasts were included but had to walk about three minutes to another hotel which was no trouble at all. Had to selected times which was great as it prevented heavy crowds arriving at the same time.

I really hate to comment because it’s no fault of the hotel or staff, but there is a night club near by that blasts music until 3am. It was really loud and made getting a restful sleep impossible. Hopefully they can find something to make this issue more tolerable. It’s a deal breaker in returning.

The location is in a walking distance to The Callejoneadas, Kiss Alley, UG, etc. breakfast is around the corner but the food is worth the short walk and the price is included in the hotel. When we return from a day of visiting point of interest our room was clean again. The people at the front desk were always friendly.

Hot water in the shower run out fast. It gets noisy on Friday and Saturday since there is a night club/bar across the street.

This was our second stay here for months in Hotel Santa Regina. Best location in Guanajuato to visit some of the most iconic sites in the city such as the Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato. The staff is attentive and helpful. The hotel also offers a nice breakfast at a sister location nearby. Highly recommended.

The rooms do not have air conditioning, which can be a challenge in hot summer nights.

The location is super central and comfortable. It’s right in the heart of the town but on the street with cars so you can arrive by taxi in front of the hotel. There is a big lift which is great if you have a lot of luggage. Reception was very friendly and the room was nice and clean.

Breakfast was in another hotel and there it was very cold, you needed to come fully dressed there, in jacket etc.

Fantastic location near many of the top sightseeing/historical attractions. Staff is professional, friendly and accommodating. Excellent buffet breakfast at nearby sister property. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Only drawback is lack of air conditioning or fan in the bedrooms. It does get a bit warm inside the room.

My wife and are seniors. we enjoyed the fact that by locating us at the back of the hotel street noise was minimal. I believe we were in number 45. Breakfast was a real treat. It was served at a different hotel. The staff was very accommodating and Raoul the head waiter, was entertaining. We never knew what was on the menu because they didn’t have one. Raoul explained the choices in Spanish but his voice was muffled by the mask so we couldn’t figure out what he was saying so we asked him to chose something he thought we would like and his choice was spot on every time. The rooms were incredibly clean, really, under the bed and everything. The balcony was narrow but pleasant. The hotel was centrally located and within easy walking distance of all of the sites. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Guanajuato.

One small problem with the shower flow, but being a handy kind of guy, I had it repaired in no time. So basically we had no complaints about the property at all.

Location was excellent, the room was good, but no air conditioning, breakfast was not included. The room was close to a nightclub therefore it was quite loud until very late at night, but would stay there again.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the downtown area, great place if you would like to walk around. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious too!

Only negative point was that there is a night club right next to the hotel. We were probably unlucky that our rooms were adjacent to the club, and hence we could hear loud music until 3:30am on one of the nights of our stay. Note: This wasn't a street view room.

Great location. Clean. Would book again.

Not much of an inconvenience but the breakfast included is a walk to a chain hotel. Very nice staff there. They even packed us a breakfast for those who could not join us.
